Hi stampers! Happy Friday! I know it's been radio silence over here...I've been stamping some but I can't get into a regular rhythm of it or blogging...I struggle more with blogging obviously. Maybe I'll figure it out some day...we'll see.
Anyway, at least it's Fab Friday time! We have a sketch this week.
I loved this sketch but for some reason I struggled with it when I sat down to work. Figures. I broke out some new goodies I got recently at least! Woohoo!

Fab Friday 75
Hi stampers! Happy Friday! It's time for another new challenge at Fab Friday! This week we have a unique color combo for you that we pulled straight out of the SU holiday catalog!
I normally pair purple with orange and black and I think green works well in there too for Halloween BUT I have to say I really like this combo for something different for Halloween. Of course you don't have to make a H-ween card but we all know I can't resist a Halloween card!
Here's what I came up with:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Cheer all year
Paper: Very vanilla, Bermuda bay, tangelo twist, happy haunting DSP, black glimmer paper
Ink: Basic black, Bermuda bay, tangelo twist
Accessories: 2.5" circle punch, deco label frameits
I love that DSP with the stars! I also love the black glimmer paper! I wasn't sure how the black on black would go but since I cut the bats out of vanilla CS, they really stand out. And I'll tell on myself yet again...the framilit is tangerine tango and not tangelo. I didn't realize until I'd already done part of it...so oh well. And you know you can always sub colors if you don't have the exact one ;-)

Fab Friday 74
Hi stampers! Happy Friday! Another week has come and gone and I haven't stamped or blogged, boo! Oh well. Maybe one of these days I'll get it together. The good news is I got totally inspired with the Fab Friday sketch today...the bad news is I didn't have time to make more than one card by the timeI got it done and then had to get all the blog posts up. I really like the sketch this week and have a LOT of ideas for it!
It's a simple sketch but I really wanted to do a lot of things with it! I finally settled on a Christmas card but there will be some Halloween cards coming soon! And more Christmas cards too! I keep forgetting I have the season of cheer DSP as a convention freebie. It's not one I would have gotten on my own. It's not that I don't care for it, it's just not a must have for me. But, I felt like I should give it a try for this sketch. I think it turned out pretty well! And the only actual stamping is the sentiment. The DSP made pretty quick work of this card. And the main panel is layered on our gold foil sheets although it's not showing well in the photo. It's kind of stunning in real life!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Oh what fun
Paper: Whisper white, pear pizazz, mossy meadow, gold foil sheets, season of cheer DSP
Ink: Cherry cobbler
Accessories: Wooden snowflake elements, gold buttons, linen thread
Make sure to check out the rest of the team's creations and play along with us!
Happy Stamping!
