Hi stampers! It's finally Friday and time for a new challenge at Fab Friday! And that means I FINALLY have a card to share! Stamping in the apartment is hard since I have to drag everything out, don't have a great space, and then have to put everything back so Ian doesn't get into it. Hopefully I'll have some more to share next week. I have ALL this stuff I want to use and new stuff will be coming out SOON!
Hopefully we are closing in a week and then can do the BIG move. EEK!
Anyway, here's the new challenge:
And here's what I did:
It's pretty simple but that's what you get when I'm moving :-)
Make sure to check out the other samples and play along with us!
Happy stamping!

Tulsa Time
Hi stampers! I don't have anything crafty to share after packing, loading, a 10+ hour drive over two days, getting into our apartment, and with my parents still here :-) But we ARE in Tulsa and some of my supplies are in the apartment...on the third floor with no elevators LOL! And some are still in my car. Hoping to remedy that today and maybe get some stamping done tonight.
I'm hoping to get in the house in a couple of weeks. The only downside is that my step dad is on a fishing trip so I'll have to drive 7 hours to get my right hand man...I mean woman....my mom! She won't fly by herself nor drive here lol!
Tulsa has welcomed us in true Oklahoma fashion with storms our first night complete with hail and the threat of more storms tonight. Oh boy!
Ian has done AMAZING! I was a bit worried because he really loves his routine and really loves home. He asks to go home all the time when we are out and about ha! We've been talking a lot about what's happening though and he's doing great. He slept really well traveling (well not naps...he usually sleeps 3 hours a day and he maybe slept 45 minutes total over two days lol) but he did great in the car for so long. Well, aside from the tummy troubles he had our first morning. He's ALWAYS been able to go to the bathroom easily and almost every day. Well, we have had to eat out most meals with showing the house and the move so that all caught up to the poor guy. But, I think we've finally got things moving ok again ;-)
We stopped in St. Louis to break up the trip and daddy had the genius idea to see a Blue's game since he's a huge fan! It was Ian's first hockey game and the first time he's stayed up really late and he did great!
It was grandma and grandpa's first game too ;-)
And then we stopped by the house on Monday. He really loved it and didn't want to leave when it was time to go. I think he'll love looking out this window :-)
He is going to miss our basement (and so am I...tornadoes terrify me). But he walked in the attic and said, "I love this basement" LOL!
We had to wait for the realtor (for the house not ours) for a while and he wanted to go in so bad!
I'm going to try to get creative soon although I have to work on some things I can't share just yet ;-) And I'll try to blog...the internet is not great here...
I'm very anxious to get back to a regular routine. We'll see what happens since we will be in the apartment just long enough to get one then move, lol! Thanks to everyone who's kept us in your thoughts and prayers over this time! We appreciate it! <3 p="">

Fab Friday 108
Hi stampers! I never knew selling a house in a much more urban area would be so stressful! We had a few showings a week back home and here we have multiple ones a day! I can't figure out when to stamp so there isn't a giant mess or I'm kicked out of my house in the middle or when do do my hang dry laundry lol!!!!
I did manage to whip up a quick card for this week's Fab Friday challenge at least!
I'm sort of in love with these colors and have MANY ideas for them even though I'm short on time! Of course, succulents were the first thing that came to mind. I also really like the addition of black with the softer colors.
This post will be short as I'm currently writing it at Panera while we show our house again...at dinner time. I'm not liking all the money and calories we are wasting by having to eat out. And we're trying to entertain Ian until we can go home lol! The showings this morning already cost me lunch at Chick Fil A and a new Thomas train at the bookstore lol! And turns out it was all for not...the people who were supposed to have an appointment from 4:45-6 rang our bell at 7:15!!!!! No call or no notice. We are not happy. Almost every showing has been a now show, super late, or just super difficult to schedule. Send help!
Make sure to come play with us at Fab Friday!!! We've had so many participants, it's awesome!
Happy stamping!

Peeps Cards - Stampin' Up Artisan Global Design Team Blog Hop
Hi stampers! It's time for another SU Artisan Design Team blog hop! Don't you just LOVE hopping around the globe to see what everyone made? You may have come from Mercedes' blog and her fabulous project, but if you didn't, don't worry, just keep clicking!
So I chose basket bunch for this hop because, well, it's A-dor-A-ble!!!!!! I've not been thrilled with the Easter offerings for a while now (I'm totally picky like that) and I'm pretty sure I squealed out loud when I saw this. AND matching framelits! Be still my heart!!!!!! Cute and easy to cut out, yes please!
I actually only used one teeny-tiny stamp out of this set! How cute is this little bunny that looks like a Peeps marshmallow bunny? What funny is that I don't even like Peeps lol! My dad does though, so he's sure to get at least one of these cards! I went with a rainbow theme because...well...Peeps! :-) There's a number of funny puns you can come up with and with the labeler alphabet stamp set, it's easy to stamp exactly what you need!
A little tip when you're brainstorming is to search google images and Pinterest and I'm not talking cards. After I decided I wanted to do a Peeps theme, I searched images of actual Peeps candy which helped me to come up with the rainbow theme and decide on colors. I think sometimes we get set on only searching for actual cards and Stampin' Up related images but you can get a lot of inspiration from other images as well!
I may have made three squillion cards for this hop...well ok, eight actually, but stamping all of these sentiments felt like three squillion ;-) But once I got started, I couldn't stop. They're just so cute and cheery!
I started down the rabbit hole so to speak (ha), with the glad you're one of my peeps cards. I inked up my bunny in versamark first and then in basic black. Working quickly, I embossed with clear embossing powder and then I just watercolored them. My hoppy Easter card is the same concept but easier if you're not good at coloring and shading...like me! It's just a simple watercolor wash with the bunnies stamped over the top. I did a few splatters in pinks and purples on the background panel there just to change it up a bit. Both the main background panels and the bunny strips are popped up on dimensionals.
And because I just couldn't stop, I made a set of monochromatic cards which I also love!
I simply created a watercolor wash our on our watercolor paper in each of my colors and stamped a bunny in the coordinating cardstock. I stamped a few of the bunnies in a different color for more contrast and I'll note those below. I also layered my stitched die cut with a scalloped square from the layering squares.
Here, I used old olive and tempting turquoise.
I used rich razzleberry for the purple card and I stamped mambo melon onto flirty flamingo for the pink. It showed up much better that way.
For the orange card, I stamped with pumpkin pie on peek a boo peach. My yellow bunny is stamped with crushed curry on daffodil delight.
These all looked ok stamped with the same colors but some of them just stood out a little bit more with a different ink color. If you want to recreate these and don't have all of the colors listed here, it will still look cute by using the same ink colors as the cardstock.
Now it's time to head on over to Miriam in the Netherlands and see her amazing project!
And we've added a blog roll if you get lost or want to visit one of us quickly!
Thanks for hopping and happy stamping!
