Mailable Monday - Affection Collection

Hi stampers!  Well the weekend's over again and it's Monday.  I finally had the weekend "off" aside from teaching aerobics anyway and I kind of took a blogging break too, sorry!  I've really kind of been struggling lately to find balance in my life with so many things going on so stamping and blogging are sometimes getting pushed back...not away....just back a little so bear with me.  I really wanted to stamp this weekend...I mean stamp a LOT, like lock myself away and stamp but I just couldn't get into it much.  I'm also a little down because we've been trying for almost a year now for a baby and it's just not happened yet and I had a pretty bad day today.  It kind of weighs my stamp mojo down too.  So, if you've got some prayers or positive vibes around maybe you could send some our way.  Not to be depressing on a Monday but I wanted to let you in on what's been going on with me and the stamping and the blog and why I kind of disappear now and then:-)  Oh and we're also having a no-Panera October and I'm also not getting random gas station fountain diet cokes...SO if you see me go completely off the deep end...you'll know why;-)  We really do have an unhealthy addiction to Panera (I'm most sad about my weekend morning oatmeal).

Anyway, on to the good stuff.  I did manage to play in the color challenge over at Create With Connie & Mary.

I immediately thought of affection collection....the stamp set we got for free at convention from the Holiday catalog.  It's kind of edgy and grungy and I like it!  And hey....it's not a fall card but at least it's not Christmas, ha!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Affection collection, bitty banners
Paper:  Very vanilla, pink pirouette, baja breeze, cherry cobbler core'dinations, silver glimmer
Ink:  Pink pirouette, baja breeze, cherry cobbler
Accessories:  Lacy brocade embossing folder, sanding block, bitty banners and window frame framelits

I love how it turned out.  This stamp set is kind of a challenge for me.  I was able to make the make and take from convention with it (which I don't think I've shared still, lol) but aside from that I don't have a lot of ideas for it.  Hopefully I'll have more closer to Valentine's day!

Happy stamping!

I will keep you in my prayers. My husband and I tried for 3 1/2 years before getting pregnant. I know the ups and downs of all of it and want you to know that I will put you on my prayer list. May God bless you with a bundle of joy!

  21. Great card! I actually thought about the same set when I first started working with these colors - but didn't end up going in that direction. I'm glad you got at least a little stamping done by joining the Create with Connie & Mary challenge. Hopefully you can squeeze something out this week too.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself - when the time is right (which might be when you aren't trying) it will happen.

  23. I'm so sorry to hear about the baby ache! It took my husband and I 4 years, many tests and a 1 in a million diagnosis from the doctor before we had our first baby. We ended up with four kids eventually, the last being a total surprise. I know the hurt of waiting and wanting. I know the hurt of three miscarriages. Hang in there, the Father of all knows your heart's desire, take your hurts to Him!

  24. Hey Mindy, Love your card and I will say a prayer tonight for you. Just relax and take it easy. Maybe take some time away from exercising a bit. That will help I have heard. I know everyone wants to give your advice but please know we all care. Hugs, Bev

Thanks for your comments. I probably won't respond unless you ask a direct question (because I know my limits, lol) but I read and appreciate every single one <3
