Fab Friday 112

Hi stampers! Happy Friday! It's been the longest week ever! Jon was gone for two nights and I DO NOT stay home alone overnight. Well, I didn't in Illinois since Ian was born! I would either have my mom come visit or go to her house. Not really an option in Tulsa, at least this time. So I'm happy to have him home now (even if we are in different rooms on totally different floors of the house as I'm tying this lol)!

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!

I have a small confession...I kind of hated these colors when I sat down to work with them. AND...I MADE them, bwhahahahaha! Honestly, I put off doing my project as long as I could because they weren't speaking to me after having thought they were great a month ago when the pads happened to be out on my desk.

But, turns out, they work pretty well together and my card turned out ok and all of the DT cards are fabulous!

I kept it pretty simple since the colors are pretty bold and this set is just great for clean and simple! And for bold colors!

My picture is not fabulous again...it was rainy or SUPER rainy here most of the day so I was basically taking pictures in the dark and I swear they look a lot lighter on my phone!

Anyway, come play along with our colors...even if you don't like them lol ;-)

Mailable Monday - Carrot Colors

Hi stampers! Hope you had a good weekend! We had more company so it was a busy one again. I did manage to stamp a teeny bit. I'm really going to have to buckle down and try to stamp during Ian's naps during the week. I'm no good at night lol! And who knows when I'll have to start packing stuff up! EEK!

Anyway, this card is inspired by the colors I used on one you'll see later in the week and by a fellow ADT member. Aurelie made an adorable card with "rainbow" carrots on our last hop. I look at a little bag of them at the grocery store every week admiring how pretty they are, and I thought that was a fabulous idea! So, as I was making some carrots, I noticed that the colors would make a great combo for any number of cards

I paired it here with the super duper stamp set.

It's a pretty simple card but I think it's pretty cute! Stay tuned for the other card later this week ;-)

Fab Friday 106

Hi stampers and happy Friday! It's been a busy week around here! But I have been stamping here and there and I had to make sure and get my Fab Friday card done for this week's fun color challenge!

It's a pretty bright one and I love it! Wanna see what I did?

I broke out the super duper stamp set because it is perfect for bright and fun and bold colors like these! I just LOVE the balloons in this set, they look like they are popping off of the page! I stamped my main image twice and cut them both out. I will say that if you aren't happy with how your images are stamping then try re-inking your pads. I have been needing to do this for a while and it made a HUGE difference here! I should have saved the "bad" images to show you the difference!

I added a few enamel dots to the middle of my starbursts for a finishing touch. This card would go through the mail super easily but looks super cute!

Super Duper CASE

Hi stampers. So I tried to resit the super duper stamp set in the Occasions catalog. And I failed. It's super cute and will make creat, CAS and mailable cards! I failed miserably at the bringing birthday's back movement (after starting out strong) so I'm going to get organized and try again just a little late!

I also failed slightly with this case of one of the cards on page 12. I used the wrong stamp in Bermuda bay. Oh well. I'll have to try to recreate the exact one again! I really love these colors together! Bright and fun!
