Fab Fri 134

Hi stampers!  This is going to be a short post.  Too much to do and too little time :-)  Happy Friday and happy Good Friday!  We have a new challenge for you over at Fab Friday and it's quite springy if you ask me!

My card didn't turn out quite in my head how I envisioned but I'm going with it anyway.  Usually the ones I hate are the ones the most people like, LOL!

I did my watercolor background on a live FB video last week.  I've been using my silicon craft sheet to do them and they are pretty fun!  I used my stamparatus to stamp the egg and I inked it up using sponge daubers for a softer look.

I hope everyone has a happy and blessed Easter.

Happy Birthday....Easter

Hi stampers!  Easter is quickly approaching, can you believe it?  That means that the SU OnStage event is just a week away!  I'm very excited to see the new catalog and even more excited to squeeze some of my friends!

I was using the reverse side of this sheet of DSP and realized that this side would make the perfect Easter card!  And then I glanced my Happy Birthday Thinlit and an idea was born!  I love that so many of our products can be used for something very different than what they intended!  And seriously, this print of this paper is just so gorgeous!

For the die cut, it's super easy to just trim off the two parts.  I splattered a bit of Calypso Coral and added a few pool party accents and a doily!  Done!

Easter Catalog Case

Hi stampers!  I have a really simple card I cased out of the Occasions Catalog over the weekend.  I was super excited to use my stamparatus for the one!  Why, you ask?  I'll explain in just a minute!  I totally messed this one up though.  The banner should be powder pink but I used flirty flamingo.  Maybe I'll make another.  To compensate, I added the powder pink as a mat which the one in the catalog doesn't have.

I wanted to use my stamparatus because big, solid stamps like this are often hard to ink well.  With the SAR(that's how I'm abbreviating it lol) you can stamp multiple times to get good coverage!  I inked up with pool party and then I came in with a dauber and used Bermuda Bay around the edge.
I'll try to come back a bit later today and add supplies, I'm running out of time! Clearly, I did not use the tool for the flowers as the one up there is WAAAAY off.  Whoops :-)

Happy stamping!

Hello Easter

Hi stampers!  March is flying by so I better start using and sharing Easter things!  I made this card a while back after seeing cute little treat bag that one of the concept artists shared on her facebook.  I thought the color combo was great for spring.  I think she may have used pear pizazz but you know I can't make anything without lemon lime twist.  And I think I added bermuda bay so in the end, it kind of ended up my own thing but I love how inspiration works!

This set is just too cute.  You can stamp all kind of elements inside that egg, how cute???  And I used them to make the background as well.    The Petals & More thinlits also work really well with this set!

Happy stamping!
