Hello Easter

Hi stampers!  March is flying by so I better start using and sharing Easter things!  I made this card a while back after seeing cute little treat bag that one of the concept artists shared on her facebook.  I thought the color combo was great for spring.  I think she may have used pear pizazz but you know I can't make anything without lemon lime twist.  And I think I added bermuda bay so in the end, it kind of ended up my own thing but I love how inspiration works!

This set is just too cute.  You can stamp all kind of elements inside that egg, how cute???  And I used them to make the background as well.    The Petals & More thinlits also work really well with this set!

Happy stamping!

Stampin Up 2018 Occasions & SAB Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day 4

Happy Thanksgiving!  Even though it's a holiday and you've eaten too much turkey, I hope you'll still have time to hop with us and see some more of the amazing samples from OnStage!

The Sweet Little Something Stamp Set is just like Baby Bear, it's a photorealistic stamp set and it's pretty cute!  I immediately knew I'd use it for a scrap book page of my sweet little someone.  I added some of the Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape and embossed my sentiment in white.  It makes for a cute and simple scrapbook page!

I'm trying to remember my color combos for my samples and I should have written them down.  I think this one is soft sky, pool party, and Bermuda bay.

This set is perfect for baby shower gifts and cards, too!  I wanted to do a girl project and a boy project.  The card was SUPER simple.  Just some stamping, a linen bow and done!  I think it is soft sky, pool party, and dapper denim.  My little girl is powder pink, blushing bride, and sweet sugarplum.  Our In Color Bitty Bows look SO cute on these bunnies!

And with our new paper ribbon, I HAD to make an Easter card since it looks just like grass!  I dyed some of our embossing paste with pool party ink and used it to stencil in my clouds.  This little bunny is smokey slate, basic gray stamped off once, and then full strength.  This is another one of my favorite display projects!  And I really love that this stamp set can work and has sentiments for so many holidays and occasions!  It's very versatile and I'm sure there are a lot more ways you could use it!

I hope you enjoyed today's projects and really do hope you had a great Thanksgiving!  I think I'm still in a food coma as I write this up!  And I'm thankful for so many things and that definitely includes Stampin' Up and all of my wonderful friends, readers, and customers that I've met because of SU!

Now it's time to go visit Charlet and see all the pretty things she has for you today!

Fab Friday 61

Hi stampers and happy Friday!  Happy Good Friday too!  I hope you all have a great and blessed Easter!  In honor of Easter and spring, we have a pastel color challenge for you this week at Fab Friday.

I managed to actually remember to do the challenge this week even though I was still excited that I'd made a few things that I really liked :-)  I'm hoping that once summer comes I'll stamp some more. There are a number of TV shows I like and a number my hubby and I watch together so once they aren't new I may have more "free time".  Of course, now there are new shows in the summer so that may derail my plan a bit :-)  And funny story about the last challenge…turns out I DID make a card WEEKS before to work ahead.  And then I forgot about it.  See what happens when I work ahead?!?! LOL!

I really like the clean look of this card.  It works well for spring I think!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Hello love, nuts about you (both hostess), and many more
Paper:  Whisper white, soft sky
Ink:  Soft sky, so saffron, pink pirouette, pear pizzazz
Accessories:  Gold basic metal buttons, baker's twine

The sun looked really sad and lonely up here before I added the button and it was just what it needed!  I also like that those gold buttons are fairly flat.  I THINK it may go through the mail ok!  That's always a bonus!

Make sure to check out all the beautiful inspiration over at Fab Friday and play along with us!

Spring...stepped up

Hi stampers!  I have something extra special for you today, not one but TWO cards.  I've been working on an Easter themed swap recently and this is one of the designs I was working on (don't worry if you're in my swap, this is not the card I settled on...and I'll post that one some time in April:-).  I started out with the more involved card as the final idea but in the process of making it, I realized that I really liked my card in it's "unfinished" state as well.  So, I left one more simple (since I almost always make my cards in pairs) and stepped the other one up to look more like the idea I had in mind all along.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Easter Blossoms, Bella toile
Paper: very vanilla, baja breeze, marina mist
Ink:  Baja breeze, marina mist
Accessories:  Scallop oval die, crystal effects, baja breeze glass glitter

As soon as I saw this stamp set I just thought it was screaming out to be used with one of my favorite background stamps, Bela Toile!  And boy was I right!  That's one of the many reasons I love SU!  Not only do their fabulous colors coordinate so well but there are always tons of combinations with stamps and stamp sets that coordinate perfectly!  They make it so easy to create!

I also love the combination and the simple color palate here.  It's hard to tell in the picture but the card base is marina mist and the background was stamped in baja breeze and then sponged as well.  The girl was stamped in marina mist so she would stand out and then the sentiment is also marina mist that I stamped off once to make a bit lighter shade.  I'm a bit surprised I really liked my half finished card so well (the one on the left of course)...I guess sometimes less really is more!  But I also like the stepped up version where I added the scalloped border (sponged and popped up for some dimension) and just a bit of the glass glitter on her flowers. The scallop border popped up also sort of reminds me of those old fashioned cameo charms, no? So, which one do you prefer?  Leave me a note and let me know, ok?

Happy stamping!
