Happy Holiday Catalog Day

Hi stampers!  Happy hump day!  It is Wednesday, right?  A three day weekend always gets me!  But I'm pretty sure it is because today is the day you can order from the 2019 Holiday Catalog!

I just adore this catalog!  Even though it's almost 100 here, September always feels like fall to me!  And since it's September, I thought I better get a move on making Halloween stuff!  This catalog has the cutest Halloween goodies!  The Spooktacular Bash Bundle is just the cutest and those frames will see a lot of use outside of halloween!

When I saw the little potion bottles, I knew I had to have this bundle.  I've had these guys colored and cut out on my desk for a while now just waiting to make it onto a card.  I also thought they'd look super cute in frames, it feels kind of Harry Potter inspired!  I saw a few other stampers doing this so they beat me, hehe!

I actually colored them in with the Pigment Sprinkles.  Those colors are SO vibrant.  I used a little watercolor pallet to make my colors.  You don't need much powder at all or much water!  These are so concentrated!  IF you get too much water or color you can try to blot with a paper towel.  Just a little tip.  My splatters were done with my black marker and Basic Gray.  My sentiment is from To Every Season which is a super cute stamp set that covers a lot of holidays!  Real bang for your buck there!

Also starting today, is the DSP sale!  You can find a select list of papers in the online store that are buy three, get one free!  Of course, I'm not organized enough to have any projects done with them right now.  We can pretend it's because I'm forced out of my stamp studio but we all know that's just me :-)

It's also an exciting time around here because I'm getting cabinets installed in my stamp studio, which is why my stamp stupid is displaced. You can see some sneak peeks over on my instagram account!  I'm hoping being more organized helps me stamp more and be more creative!  This card was made in a makeshift are in my living room which I actually kind of like (lol) but it can't stay there!

Fab Friday 171

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's a happy day around here as Jon comes home from being in Belgium all week!  Yay!  And followed by a long weekend!  It's also time for a new Fab Friday challenge!  We have a sketch this time!

I've had this background just waiting to be made into a card!  I'll link the video I did a few weeks ago for the masks and Pigment Sprinkles below!  It's such a fun technique!  This sketch was perfect for this background because it doesn't need much to make it stand out!  For my letters, I just stamped them and cut them out with the dies, then you can just trim off the layering parts leaving just the letters.

I stuck pretty true to the sketch and didn't need much to finish this one off!  Hope you like it!  And I hope you play along with us and check out what the rest of the team did!

Here's the video which works for any of our masks, this is just the one I chose to use!

Tie Dye Tuesday

Hi stampers, happy Tuesday!  I have a fun card to share today and it may be my most favorite card I've made, ever!  I used our new Pigment Sprinkles and they are SO FUN!  Messy!  But fun!  Make sure to cover your work surface and your clothes!  I'll have a tip on that later on.  I'll try to do a video of these for you soon!

The colors are so amazing and I thought they would look great with the medallion mask from the Party Pattern Decorative Masks!  I wasn't wrong!

I taped my Watercolor Paper down with some retired washi tape on a old clipboard I use for watercoloring.  Then, I taped my mask down.  I spritzed it a little and then shook just a little of each color on where I wanted it.  The key to this stuff is to start light and add more IF you need to.  Finally, I added a little more water to get it to blend well. I then really carefully dabbed a paper towel to soak up the excess water and gently peeled the mask away and left the paper to dry.  The paper towel is also a piece of art, lol!

The colors of these sprinkles are just SO vibrant!  This card didn't need anything else but a sentiment!
Even if you're not a great watercolor artist, these things make it easy to look like it!!!!!  And they are just so fun!  They come out different each time!

Have you tried the Pigment Sprinkles yet?  If not, grab them NOW and earn a bonus coupon to use next month which is FAST approaching!!!!

And here's a little clean up tip!  Disclaimer:  I TRY to limit my plastic use and make as little waste as possible but I already had these AND I'm going to try to use this thing until I can't anymore!  I had some medical chux pads from when Ian was a baby (I used them to cover gross changing tables and for puking/sick babies, that kind of thing) and I thought it would be great for catching any excess powder and over-spray!  I wasn't wrong.  They are basically like puppy pads (although I wouldn't use those because they have chemicals added) but for people.  I think this one will last me a long time!  I just thought I'd pass it along in case you have any lying around.

It was also easy to just cover everything on my work surface and then pick the whole thing up to set aside to dry!

Edited:  I created a video for this technique!  Hope you find it helpful!

Extra, Extra!

Hi stampers!  I have some exciting news that I failed to share when I was on vacation and that really, I fail to share on the regular!

What is it, you say?  It's our amazing starter kit!  I tend to forget what a FABULOUS deal it is even when there isn't a special like there is now!  Normally, you can get $125 worth of products (any products you want, it's fully customizable now) for only $99 plus tax.  You get FREE shipping and FREE business supplies included!  That really is a great deal!  Even if you don't plan on having any events or staying a demo for the long term, it's a great way to get started or grow your stash of supplies.  You also have until the next full quarter to make your minimums, so if you sign up in July, you have until December to meet your quota!  You also get 20% off your orders as well as access to the demo website, our quarterly magazine, a SU FB page and my team FB page!  So many successful demonstrators I know only signed up for the discount :-)

There's no obligation to purchase more and no penalty for dropping.  Win, win!  Make it a hobby, make it a business or whatever you want in between!

Anyway, it gets even better this month!  So great that my step mom who I had a little fun class with in Illinois, signed up!  How awesome is that!?!?  We' love to have you join our team as well!  And get a great deal!  Wait for THIS!

This month only, you can get an extra $30 in product AND a $10 coupon to use in August!  That's $155 worth of product now for only $99!  If you host a party, you can use your hostess reward dollars towards your kit as well.  That's what Cheryl did and she actually paid LESS than $99.  You guys, I can't even!  It's so crazy good!  Basically a total of $165 for $99 or less!

If you're interested in hosting a party or signing up, just contact me!  We can chat and I'm happy to answer any questions for you!

To be quite honest, I really had forgotten what a fantastic deal our kit is until I personally helped her pick her items and enter them!  So great!  I hopped on Instagram earlier today to show you a sample kit and how much great stuff you can get so make sure to follow me and check that out!  I'll save it to my highlights!

And now, a guest designer, my step mom!  She visited a few weeks ago and I showed her how our pigment sprinkles worked and she put together a little card to take home!

I'm hoping to show them in action soon!

Happy stamping!
