Hello Easter

Hi stampers!  March is flying by so I better start using and sharing Easter things!  I made this card a while back after seeing cute little treat bag that one of the concept artists shared on her facebook.  I thought the color combo was great for spring.  I think she may have used pear pizazz but you know I can't make anything without lemon lime twist.  And I think I added bermuda bay so in the end, it kind of ended up my own thing but I love how inspiration works!

This set is just too cute.  You can stamp all kind of elements inside that egg, how cute???  And I used them to make the background as well.    The Petals & More thinlits also work really well with this set!

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Lovely

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday here's to the start of a new week!  Let's hope it's more productive for me than last week!  The only thing I can't stop doing lately it seems, is eating!  LOL!  Hopefully I'm ready to buckle down and quit all the snacking this week.  Maybe if I say it here it will keep me accountable...highly unlikely (lol) but worth a shot I guess ;-)

I managed to do some stamping on Sunday afternoon.  I've been feeling less than inspired lately even with some new goodies and the Stamparatus in the house!

Anyway, I did make this card pretty quickly last week.

All you need is a stamp, some blends, some DSP and a die.  Pretty simple!  Well, I guess you need two stamp sets.  I pulled the sentiment in from the Hanging Garden set.  It's a great sentiment!  When in doubt grab some black and white DSP, add a pop of color, and you're done!

Wacky Wednesday

Hi stampers!  WHY am I having such a hard time getting back into the swing of things after the past two weeks????  Ian had school yesterday so I did a quick workout (wasn't feeling my best) and ran some errands and then had to grocery shop.  I always used to shop on Monday but now that Ian has therapy on Mondays, I've been doing it on Sunday which also throws me off but TUESDAY?  Blech!  LOL!  That pretty much took up my whole morning and then some!  Needless to say, I got nothing done around the house and didn't stamp.  If I don't get my act together today, it really be wacky Wednesday around here!

But I do have this pretty lady I made a few weeks ago to share.  I'm not quite sure how the blue in the Brusho works with my color palette here but I went with it anyway.  What I DO love is the sentiment I cut up from Yay You hostess set from the Occasions catalog.

And I can't for the life of me remember what dies I used so I'll have to look that up later.

Mailable Monday - Petal Passion

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I've been off a day ever since we came back to Tulsa ON Monday last week.  I felt like Tuesday was Monday and I was just off all week.  I didn't get much done with my mom here which is the opposite of what usually happens.  But, today I guess I can reenter normal life.  That's always a struggle :-)  I haven't stamped much but I found a few things on my phone I haven't shared yet.

I really love the Petal Palette stamp set.  One of the reasons I love it is because it makes it super easy to make a stunning card.  I simply stamped this and colored it with my blends.  I added a few accents and it was done!  Easy and mailable!  The whole Petal Passion suite is great but sometimes I get caught up in trying to use it all that I forget to just keep it simple!

Hope you're having a more productive March than I seem to be, lol!  Maybe I'll get there...we shall see ;-)

Fab Friday 132

Hi stampers!  I'm still not back into the swing of things after being gone!  I've had a doctor's appointment, Ian had the dentist, mom took me birthday shopping where I found NADA (dang it) and  then Ian started soccer with less than 24 hours notice so we spend most of the day tracking down toddler soccer gear.  Whew!  Maybe I can stamp and blog tomorrow...maybe...

Anyway, at least I have something to share for Fab Friday!  It's a color challenge this time around!

And here's what I came up with!

This is one of the SAB options and it's pretty cool.  It's called a "distinktive" stamp and it's kind of a photo real kind of stamp.  To me, they look a bit like sepia toned photos so that's the idea behind my card.  I stamped it in Soft Suede and then embossed quickly with clear powder.  I used sponge daubers to add my ink and then fussy cut it out.  I came back with more ink around the edges to soften it up.  Don't forget you can grab this one FREE with a $50 order JUST until the end of the month.

Speaking of which, how can it be March now?  February flew by!  Now, fly on over to the Fab Friday blog and check out all of the team's creations and then play along!  We'd love to have you!
