Hi stampers! Today I have a card going to a special friend. She's the only person I've known outside my family for almost my whole life! We went to pre-school clear up to a year of college together!!! She's in need of a get well card so I whipped one up the other night after getting my big box of goodies!
In the box was the Oh, Whale set which has a bunch of cute little sayings! My card is based off the last Freshly Made Sketches sketch by my friend Rita and I was a day too late to enter! Whoops! Did I mention the whale is super cute???
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Oh, whale!
Paper: Whisper white, pacific point, marina mist, sunshine & sprinkles DSP
Ink: Pacific point, marina mist
Accessories: Happy whale clearit, perfect pennants die, 2.5 inch circle punch, large scallop edgelit, paper piercing pack
And guess what? I didn't have to hand cut the whale! There is a super cute little clearlit to do that for you! Holla! It's a simple card but I hope it makes my friend smile!
Happy stamping!
Okay...silly question. But I see this a lot in your card layers. Is each later a quarter inch smaller than the next? Card base would be 4 1/2 x 5, first layer 4 1/4 x 4 3/4, next layer would be 4 x 1/2. It's just the perfect size boarder around layers. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYes, most of the time I cut my layers in quarter inch intervals. BUT I make my cards 5.5 x 4.25 so adjust accordingly.
DeleteLove it!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Mindy. You totally rocked my sketch!
ReplyDeleteAnother great card, you've inspired me to get the pennant die. Hope your friend feels better.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS CARD! What did you use for the scallop circle around the whale? I didn't see it listed. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteActually it IS listed in the supplies. I've talked about it quite a bit in other posts so I don't always mention it in the text but it's from the perfect pennants die.

ReplyDeleteGood! I rarely use the die for actual pennants....LOL!!!!! Just the scalloped circle:-)
