Hi stampers! Quick post again today and then I'm off to hopefully get some good stamping time in. I have some really fun stuff coming up in the next few weeks and I have got to get to work! I did manage to get a card made last night before I fell asleep though, yay me! :-)
I just love this little kitteh! He's so cute! And yellow/orange cats are my favorite! I've been wanting a cat lately but sadly I'm HIGHLY allergic so that's not gonna happen. Did I mention my convention cat story yet? I can't remember if I did or not but long story short there was a cat on the PLANE on the way home from convention in the seat behind me! OMG! I was freaking out when I found out and then imeediately knew why my eye started itching when I sat down! Most times I break out in horrible hives so I was a bit concerned to be in such close quarters with the little guy! Luckily I was able to move to the back row (although the flight attendent said I wouldn't want to sit there because the seats didn't recline...um I sat in one on the way to SLC and really who cares if it kept me from having an in-flight emergency, lol) and even better....I had it all to myself..so really I guess I should thank Mr. Kitteh:-) Anyway that's the story and I know I keep saying I'll share more from convention and I promise I will. I've just been pulled in a million directions lately and I haven't got through all my pictures and stuff. Maybe I'll have them shared by next year's convention, hehe! But seriously....stay tuned, ok?
So onto the orange kitty cat:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Frightening feline, mixed medley (Holiday hostess set)
Ink: Basic black, basic gray, tangerine tango
Paper: Very vanilla, basic black, tangerine tango, howlstooth & scaringbone
Accessories: 3" circle die, 1-1/4" scallop circle punch, circle punch, spider web embossing folder, color spritzer, basic rhinestones
I finally remembered to use my spritzer! I love the spritzed look and keep forgetting about it so I stuck it on my desk last week so I'd remember to use it:-) The cute little spider web is from the new hostess set in the holiday seasonal catalog. It's another freebie from convention! I was hoping we'd get it and it was the last give away! It's totally cute and matches the new smaller scallop circle punch which is also crazy cute!
Ok, off to stamp....and do laundry:p
Happy stamping!

Happy Halloween...er....
I mean happy fourth of July! LOL! Hi stampers! Why the funny title? Well because I got my pre-order from the new Holiday Seasonal catalog yesterday! Remember, they aren't called minis anymore...even though I'm sure I'll slip up and call it that! They aren't called minis because they aren't:-) They of course are thinner than the annual catalog but they are the same size at 8.5 x 11. Which means....they have packed a TON of stuff in there...and I feel like I ordered it ALL when looking at it all spread out on my floor! Where in the heck am I going to put all this? LOL!
Anyway, I finally got to stamp this morning. I didn't get anything done last night because the fireworks we were going to watch were last night instead of tonight like we had thought they were. I always have a hard time deciding what to use first when I get new stuff so I sat and stared for a while today:-) I finally decided that since Halloween is the next holiday that I should start there! I chose the new single stamp frightening feline which is funny because I wasn't even thinking of ordering it until my friend Rita pointed it out and told me she loved it...BUT I got it free with the awesome special going on this month! For every order (or workshop) over $450 you get EXTRA hostess dollars!
I thought he would look totally cute using emboss resist! I did two layouts because I couldn't figure out which I liked better.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Frightening feline, teeny tiny wishes
Paper: Very vanilla, basic gray, tangerine tango, more mustard, howlstooth & scaringbone DSP
Ink: Versamark, basic gray, tangerine tango, more mustard
Accessories: labels collection & bitty banners framelits, basic rhinestones, 1/2" striped satin ribbon, houndstooth embossing folder, clear embossing powder
I LOVE the patterns and colors in the new halloween DSP...but boy is the name a mouthful, lol! I don't use much tangerine tango so I'm glad this color is in the DSP since it will force me to use it! I think I like the one without the ribbon the best but I wanted to try to use it since it's new!
I hope everyone has a great fourth! And a big thanks to all our service people for keeping this great country a terrific place to stamp:-)
Happy stamping!
