Gingham and Apples

Hi stampers!  Happy Wednesday!  I've switched gears back to a fall card today even though it's still freezing :-)

It took me a long time to get the Come To Gather DSP but I finally did and I'm so glad!  I just love this peacock gingham.  I also love the apples from Harvest Hellos so I used some Sponge Daubers to make a couple.  All you need to do for these is start with the lightest color and then add the darker one.  Circular motions work the best to blend well.

I just love all of these colors together!  You can find the full supply list in my FB group!

Thankful For SU

Hi stampers!  Happy hump day!  I'm slowly getting back to normal here, only to have the upcoming holiday throw a wrench in my routine yet again :-)  I cannot believe it's almost Thanksgiving!  It was JUST Halloween!

I'm always thankful when I can pair two products together unexpectedly, just like with this card!  The "give thanks" sentiment in Labels to Love fits just perfectly in the punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.

This card may look complicated, but it was pretty easy.  A quick water color wash and then some splatters.  You can see I didn't let it fully dry before...I'm impatient like that ;-)  Then, I just layered everything up!

Some linen trim, a few sequins, some sparkle, and a button sealed the deal!  I just love these colors together!

I'm also thankful for ALLLLL of the friends Stampin' Up has blessed me with!  I'm so happy I got to hug so many of them last week.

Happy stamping!

Pillow Talk

Hi stampers! Before we get started, let's take a moment to remember our country on this dark day.  We will never forget 9/11.   I'll also never forget my sweet, sweet Grandma Bingamon who was born on 9/11.  You'd be hard pressed to meet a better person than her, so I like to think that her being born on this day makes up just a little bit of the ugliness that has tarnished this date!  I miss her every day and I aspire to be like her! <3 p="">
And now onto my project for today.  I don't often do non-card projects but really, I need to!  The great thing about SU is that you can make your own detailed boxes OR you can fancy up a pre-made item like this pillow box!

I plan on putting a gift card for a friend in this one but there are so many fun little things you can tuck into it!  Aren't the polka dots with the kraft color just the best?  I do have a retired product (eek) because I didn't get this shared in time.  But, you could cut out an oval or any other shape to recreate this!  I just cut a belly band from DSP and wrapped it around my pillow box and then glued my label on after it'd punched a couple of holes for the ribbon.  You'll want to glue it down so it doesn't fall off and then tie the bow!  I also finally broke out my corrugated embellishments!

Isn't this just the cutest?

Rainbow Carrots

Hi stampers!  My wrist is feeling much better so hopefully I'm on the mend...as long as I don't do anything stupid...which knowing me.... ;-)  So I mentioned that Aurelie's rainbow carrot card inspired me to make a bunch of rainbow carrots and that I did!  I think I told you that I walk by them every week at the store and admire them (and I did so again on Monday, ha).  I've never gotten any because I have a total thing about eating things that are strange colors.  Like, I can't do it!  LOL!  I will eat purple potatoes but that's about it.  My FIL makes amazing deviled eggs for Easter but he and my MIL thought it would be fun to dye them a few years ago.  I couldn't bring myself to eat one!  My family always ate the Easter eggs after dying them too.  Again, not me!  Maybe I'll try the carrots...someday.

Anyway, here's my take on the rainbow carrots.

I stamped them on shimmery white cardstock and then used a blender pen to fill them in.  Here's a more detailed picture.

I really love these colors together by the way!  I hope maybe you'll try to make some rainbow carrots!
