Looking Sharp and Simple

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I'm sharing another very simple card today using just our notecards, stamps, and ink!  The stamp set is a super cute one from the new 2020 January-June Mini Catalog!

I LOVE puny sets and this one is so cute!  I'm such a sucker for them!  One of my very first purchases was a similar set!

I mean!  How cute are those?????  Since it's been pretty cold out the last few days, I thought I'd use the cactus and pretend it's warmer here!  You may be asking who you'd send this kind of card to and I think you could send it to anyone and that it would just make a fun any time, any occasion card to a friend!

I did pull a Blender Pen in to add some color to the cactus.  That's a great tip if you don't have a big collection or markers.  You can basically make a marker out of any ink pad you have!  I added my "sand" from the Label Me Bold Stamp Set, it's a cute little accent set!

Ian is home recovering after being sick over the weekend so hopefully I can get some stamp time in, we'll see!

Happy stamping!

#simplestamping

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Where has this week gone????  I do not have enough (online or in person) shopping days left until Christmas, lol!  It's a good thing Stampin' Up! is on a "simple stamping" kick because that's all the time I have for cards!

At onstage, they really wanted to focus on the three things you need to stamp a card, stamps, paper, and ink.  Sometimes it really can be that simple!  I love making "fancy" cards but I've found that I really like keeping it simple, too!  Simple can be stunning!  Our Notecards make it easy, you don't have to cut them and they are pre-scored to fold!  And they include envelopes.  I went ahead and even stamped the envie for this one! IF THIS lazy stamper can do that, you can too ;-)

Ack!  Isn't it cute!?!?  Can we talk about those cascading stars for a minute?  SO PRETTY!

New to stamping?  All you need is a stamp, pack of notecards, and a few ink pads and you can make these as your Christmas cards!  And even if you're an experienced stamper, take a minute to try some simple stamping!  It was a challenge for me but a lot more fun than I expected!

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Hung With Care

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I have a pretty simple card for you today that I cased from the Holiday Catalog.  The Hung With Care hostess set is so cute!  All I had to do with color these stamps in with my marker and stamp them.  I did cut one out and pop it up on dimensionals but you wouldn't have to do that if you don't like cutting!  The colors I used are: Mossy Meadow, Pool Party, Old Olive, and Real Red.

The card in the catalog uses DSP as the base but I wanted to use my Buffalo Check stamp because I'm obsessed with it!  The corners are punched with a circle punch but you could leave that off as well.  If you're a beginner stamper and have the markers, this would be a fantastic card to make.  And if you don't have the markers, they would look great as single color stockings, too!  We  were reminded at OnStage to make sure to make SIMPLE cards now and then and this is a perfect example of that.  A card doesn't have to be complicated to be beautiful!

I did add a couple of enamel dots but you could easily leave those off as well.

Happy stamping!
