Perfect Valentines

Hi stampers!  Happy Valentine's day!  I made a set of quick Valentine's with the perfect mix set the other night.  They aren't really traditional Valentine's but I think they work!  I still don't love the sending love DSP stack on it's own but I love adding black and Bermuda with it.  Totally changes it for me!  I embossed all of these images on watercolor paper by inking with Versamark first and then straight into my basic black pad.

This one is my least favorite but it's still "grate" I guess, ha!

I added some PL washi tape here.

And this one is my favorite!  Even if you're not a pink person, the pop of pink DSP is perfection on the black and white sides!

One In A Dozen

Hi stampers!  I think I mentioned in a previous post that my grandma had chickens.  Some of my best memories of the farm are gathering the eggs with her and when they would get baby chicks!  I loved to go hold them!  The egg collecting was fun but it scared me too, I wouldn't reach in under a chicken like my granny :-)

This stamp brings back memories for me, packing the eggs up in cartons!  I always wished she'd had some of the chickens that laid colored (as in other than brown, her chickens always laid brown eggs...I still pass up white eggs for brown at the grocery store) eggs.  We'll pretend this egg is one of those!

Now get ready for the real shocker here....me, the world's laziest stamper, pulled out the stamp-a-ma-jig!  Can you believe it?  I TRIED to do it freehand but failed.  The back side of the background panel looks terrible, lol!  And as a little tip, I used a couple of post it notes to stick my paper down so that it wouldn't move when I moved the SAMJ.  I'm too lazy to always do that but it made a huge difference!!!!

I'll probably send this one to my momma too, she has the same fond memories of chickens that I do and I still wish she could have some :-)

So Hot ;-)

Hi stampers!  So I have a card for you that's a little out of my comfort zone.  I would only give this to my hubby :-)  I'm a little shy to share it but I was kind of proud of myself for the idea when it came to me so here goes:

Did it make you giggle?  Like I said, it's definitely a card for a very specific audience but I think it's clever and cute :-)  I just love the perfect mix stamp set!  It's so cute and you really can do a lot with it!  My inked my stamp up in versa mark and then classic black ink and then I heat embossed it with clear powder.  I'm really finding this the best way to get a crisp and detailed image for watercoloring.

And I really, really love the alphabet labeler stamp set.  You can do ANYTHING with it. If you don't have it, you really need to get it!

Happy New Year!

Hi stampers!  I know I'm a little late with my new year wishes but I've been gone for the holidays for two weeks!  I'm finally back home although definitely not settled back in yet!  Christmas = SO MUCH STUFF, lol!!!

I really missed my stamps so I'm excited to get back to stamping and blogging!  I missed you all too!

I'm hoping that 2017 is a great year and it's starting off that way with the whole Artisan thing for sure!

Also starting off the new year is the new Occasions catalog AND Sale-A-Bration which both start TODAY!

I haven't stamped much with my new stuff yet but hang tight, I'll get to work as soon as I can!  I wanted to stamp Tuesday night but after our trip home and attempting to unpack and organize, I was pretty tired.  Add in a gallon of milk falling out of the back of Jon's SUV and busting on the driveway and I was just totally over the day, ha!

I did whip this little card up the other night.  Get it, whipped it up?  Baking?  No?  ;-)

I meant to share this before the holiday catalog retired as the DSP is actually a Christmas paper but I just didn't get around to sharing while we were gone, whoops!  Anyway, this cute little set is called prefect mix and it's adorable!  This may be as close as I get to a mint colored kitchen aid mixer too, hehe!  They are so pricey!

Anyway, don't forget to order your occasions items NOW and for every $50 you spend, you get a free selection from the SAB catalog!

Happy 2017 and happy stamping!  I hope you have the best year yet!
