Mailable Monday

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  It's a new week and I'm already falling behind, lol!

Here's a card I whipped up over the weekend while desperately trying to use all my retiring stuff.  The Picture Perfect DSP is just TOO cute.  I cut the party hat out and I think it looks super cool all on it's own!

It also paired perfectly with the sentiment from the party hat set!

I'll come back and add supplies later, gotta run!

Fab Friday 136

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday.  And Friday could not come soon enough!  It IS Friday, right?  I'm so off with Jon being gone last week and then again this week and for even longer.  Ian napped ZERO days so I got nothing, or at least next to nothing, stamped or blogged as you probably noticed.

Anyway, I did get a card done for Fab Friday because we have a new challenge for you over there!

I kind of love this one!  And I kind of love the resulting card!

I had to make two dragons because Ian wanted one when he saw me making this one :-)  He was so excited to have such a beautiful dragon or so he said :-)

I used my silicone craft sheet and re-inkers to do the background and I added some of the sparkly embossing paste once it was dry.  I did the same thing for my dragon except I stamped him and cut him out when it was dry.  I think he looks fantastic and obviously so did Ian :-)  These colors are great together!

Make sure to check out what the design team did and play along with us!

Around the Corner

Hi stampers!  Ian is skipping naps and it's really messing with my stamping and blogging time!  I have a quick and easy card that I got done a few weeks ago at least!

I'm combining current items with a new stamp set that I won at OnStage!  It's called Around The Corner and has fun things for corners and works great with the Stamparatus!

I need to cut up more of my Picture Perfect Party DSP so that's what I did!  And you're going to get really sick of Coastal Cabana but I can't stop won't stop!  It's my favorite color ever!

Mermaid Monday

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday, the start of a new week.  It's kind of a wacky one here, we just have a few things going on out of the norm and I kind of hate that.  I'm not sure if I'll get much time in the stamp studio, but we shall see.  I did clean a bit and reorganize my inks and papers over the weekend...instead of actually stamping...sigh.  But it feels good to have that done and I'm slowly and I mean SLOWLY getting used to the color changes.  I can't wait to fill the holes in my ink pad storage with our new colors!

Speaking of colors, I was SO, so happy to see Coastal Cabana and Mint Macaron returning!  I immediately thought they would look great on a mermaid card and I wasn't wrong!  I still kind of can't believe this adorable set isn't going to be in the new catalog. So, if you want it, better grab it!

I watercolored my mermaid with both Coastal Cabana and Mint Macaron.  Her scales have a little Wink Of Stella for sparkle.  The background is also those two colors.  I took my silicon sheet and scribbled on it in various places with the markers then spritzed it and squished my paper on it.  Once it was dry, I took an aqua painter and added some drops with Coastal Cabana.  I also stamped a few bubbles form the stamp set.

Those Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate Sheets are also retiring and this print is perfect for mermaid cards!  A few well placed gold flakes completed my card!  I hope you like her!

Finally Friday

Hi stampers!  It's FINALLY Friday!  It's been a week with Ian being sick and Jon being gone.  Ian is also starting to drop naps which is really hard to get used to since he's been a three hour napper on average for about two years.  He still needs them a few days a week and he napped well the past two days after being sick but it's definitely messing with MY routine :-)  I haven't got much done this week!  He's not napping today and I should go stamp while he's binge watching PJ Masks (he's still tired but I'm letting him just be lazy instead of napping so he actually sleeps tonight lol) but I can't seem to get up off the couch.  Oh well.  Instead, I'll share a card since I didn't get a post schedule last night I guess!

I held off on the Truly Tailored Suite for a while but I always need masculine cards and this one is great!  I whipped this one up pretty quickly with a sketch I'd had pinned.

I hand trimmed the main image and then used the punch to make a mat for it.  I also chopped off the ends of the label for a bit of a different look.  Don't forget you can alter our punched images.

Have I mentioned I'm going to miss those washi tape packs?  I'm also going to miss the enamel dots! I need to start using mine up so here's a start.

Happy stamping!

Similar Sets

Hi stampers!  I'm late at posting again.  I should have had time to prep this post yesterday with being stuck at home all day with a receiving Ian, but I didn't.  And by the time I wrangled him into bed (in my room...he may never sleep in his own room again, sigh), I was too lazy to do anything at all.  Jon's been in Dallas so I was flying solo.  He is feeling better though for sure, he was a NUT last night at bath and bed time lol!

Anyway, hopefully life will get back to normal today!  I have had this background on my desk for WEEKS and just couldn't do anything with it.  I based it off of a card in the Occasions Catalog.  But, instead of using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set for the flowers (I did use it for that large sentiment), I used Happy Birthday Gorgeous!  I had Perennial Birthday for display stamper and as soon as I got it, I thought it looked really similar to HBG.  I think they work really well together and I was happy to see both back in the new Annual Catalog!

I've used this color combo to death, I know.  But it works!
