#simplestamping

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Where has this week gone????  I do not have enough (online or in person) shopping days left until Christmas, lol!  It's a good thing Stampin' Up! is on a "simple stamping" kick because that's all the time I have for cards!

At onstage, they really wanted to focus on the three things you need to stamp a card, stamps, paper, and ink.  Sometimes it really can be that simple!  I love making "fancy" cards but I've found that I really like keeping it simple, too!  Simple can be stunning!  Our Notecards make it easy, you don't have to cut them and they are pre-scored to fold!  And they include envelopes.  I went ahead and even stamped the envie for this one! IF THIS lazy stamper can do that, you can too ;-)

Ack!  Isn't it cute!?!?  Can we talk about those cascading stars for a minute?  SO PRETTY!

New to stamping?  All you need is a stamp, pack of notecards, and a few ink pads and you can make these as your Christmas cards!  And even if you're an experienced stamper, take a minute to try some simple stamping!  It was a challenge for me but a lot more fun than I expected!

Happy stamping!

Tags & Tidings Tuesday

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm getting a late start on this blog post thanks to a sick kid last night. Thankfully he seems fine this morning (starting at like 4 am, lol) but we'll be stuck at home or at least no gym or school for us today.  Maybe I can get some much needed laundry done and maybe some stamping!  Anyway, I am super excited to share my most recent class with you!

On Sunday, I had a few friends over and made a few new friends while making some fun Christmas tags with the Tags & Tidings Bundle!

Everyone was very impressed with the design of this one!  It's one stamp and one die and you can get all of those tags from one pass through the big shot!  SIXTEEN tags at once!  Now, they are super cute all on their own just plain, but for this class I made 12 tags in stepped up versions.

A few of them are direct copies from the tags shown in the catalog and the rest, I designed on my own and it was simple and fun!  If you'd like an individual picture of any of them you can contact me but momma doesn't have time for all that right now ;-)

My colors were Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron,, and Garden Green.  I also threw in a little Crumb Cake.  I pulled a lot of different dies and punches in.   I did want to point out that the leaves in the Warm Wishes tags were sprayed with some Champaign shimmer mist I made and they are gorgeous!

I hope everyone had a great time at the class, I sure did!  And what was even more exciting was our special guest!  Our Midwest South DDM, Chad Williams, came all the way from the home office in Utah to check out the class!  It was also nice to have an extra set of hands to help out!  I appreciated his help so much!  It was so fun I totally forgot to take any pictures of us or the class, DUH!!!! :-)  But, he also arranged a meet and greet for Tulsa demos Sunday night so we snapped a picture there.  Be kind, it was like 9pm and I turn into a pumpkin at around 8 LOL!

It was also really great to meet a few local demos since I didn't know any in the Tulsa area!  I'm hoping we can arrange a few more demo events in the new year!  If you're local to the area, shoot me a message!

Oh, and we also made a bonus card so I'll share that as well.  A version of this one can be found in the catalog but we kept it simple for new stampers!  The amazing thing about this stamp set is that it makes a CUTE background along with the tags!

Isn't that super cute!  A big thanks to Chad once again, and to my friends who came to stamp with me!  I can't wait for the next class!  I made a few bonus projects as my door prize and totally forgot to snap pictures!  I'm going to see if my friend who won them can send me some...stay tuned for that :-)

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I have a simple card for you today with very little stamping!  I used my washi tape to make a little background and then placed the cut out panel over.  Viola, festive deer!

A simple stamped sentiment is all it needed. I mounted it on the Festive Farmhouse DSP.  When I use DSP as a card front, I always just adhere the panel to a Thick Whisper White Card base, I don't use the DSP itself for the card base.  While it does use the big shot, I think it's still a pretty simple card!

It was a bit hard to photograph due to the metallic strips of washi but it's simple and kind of stunning, I think!

Merry and BRIGHT

Hi stampers!  I have a bright little card for you today!  I just love this Nothing Sweeter set!  It's so cute!  I love that you can cut it out, but it makes cute and more simple cards, too!  This color combo is also fun and bright!

I may have mixed my reds here just a little with the poppy bow, but I think it still works!  Sadly, those shapes are sold out.  I also mixed and matched my sentiments and can't for the life of me, figure out which sets they were so you'll have to wing it :-)

I'm so excited I have a tree up (even though it's not done) so I can take my photos in front of it again!  I'm going to try to get our "big" tree up this year as well.  I'm toying with the idea of only putting half of it up so it lays flush with the wall...wish me luck on that ;-)

Be Jolly

Hi stampers!  Happy hump day!  The time until Christmas goes so fast, I'm not sure I'm happy the week is half over or not!  Anyone feel me?

I have a card to share today that may be one of my favorites of all time!  I just LOVE this bundle!  It's just quintessentially Christmas and so cute and jolly!

I used a sketch challenge I'd had pinned for my layout and I made that ho, ho, ho panel free hand so don't look too closely at it, lol!  IF I weren't a lazy stamper, I would have used my Stamperatus.  BUT, I think it's important to show that it doesn't look half bad without it for a quick and dirty panel! After it was stamped, I did take a sponge and just added a little bit of color towards the middle.  A few accents here and there and it was done.

I also really, really adore this color combination!

And you cannot deny that buffalo plaid makes anything better!

Happy stamping!
