More Merry Patterns

Hi stampers!  I should be posting and stamping fall things but as I looked back over what I have created lately, I must have been in a Christmas mood last time I stamped :-)  So, you get some more Merry Patterns today.  I don't think you'll mind....

I splattered a bit of crumb cake ink with my marker onto the background panel and there is a tiny bit of the black Vintage Crochet Trim peeking out.  Don't be afraid to use Halloween products on your Christmas cards!    I really think the combination of any Christmas color and black is so elegant!  And this plaid...it gets all the heart eyes!

If you'd like to see more of this set, check out yesterday's ADT blog hop for TWENTY projects! You can only get your hands on this one until October 31st by placing a qualifying order ($300 USD).  Get yours today!  You can order it all yourself, have a live party if you're local to the Tulsa area, or have a virtual party with me on Facebook!  It's tons of fun!  Contact me today if you're interested or have questions!

Maybe I'll get around to some fall creations this week/weekend.  How is it well into October already?

Dreaming of Christmas

Or at least cooler temperatures!  Hi stampers!  It's a hot one in OK today, with heat indices near 100! Apparently it's the same back home too so at least I'm not alone.  Ian's ready for Christmas too.  He was just talking about Santa bringing him presents :-)

Today's card is inspired by my friend Cathy Casey.  I saw a card she posted on IG over the weekend and fell in love with it and her color combo of tranquil tide, pool party, and soft suede!  This isn't actually the card I cased but it was inspired by the colors!

While I think you know I LOVE the Christmas sets in the holiday catalog, there are also some pretty spectacular sets in the annual catalog and I need to give them some love.  I LOVE Merry Mistletoe!  It's such a great set so don't overlook or forget about it!

Sadly, it doesn't feel ant cooler after this post :-)

Fab Friday 121

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Thank goodness it's Friday!  It's been the longest week ever it feels like.  Ian's been just "off" all week and then Wednesday while I was making my Fab Friday card, because he was napping SO WELL...I found him after his nap covered in barf.  UGH!  I should have known something was coming because he hasn't been napping well and that's usually his tell but I wasn't prepared for THAT!  Anyway, add that to a few other things this week and I'm just done!  Bring on the weekend!  And a new challenge at Fab Friday!

Big thanks to one of our fabulous team members, for making some of the logos for me while I try to get my program up and running again!

At least I kind of love the card I came up with!  Just don't look too close.  I had a really hard time getting things lined up straight, lol!  I must have been a little off with Ian!

I used the Merry Patterns host set which you can get FREE right now!  The sentiment is from Hearts Come Home.  It was a perfect sentiment for those candles!  Don't forget you can mix and match your sets.  I tend to forget that as well sometimes!

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along with us!

Happy stamping!

Merry Patterns Cards - Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hi stampers!  It's time for a trip around the world with the SU Artisan Design Team and we have something super exciting for you today!  It's a little sneak peek of the host promotion that's coming in a few days!  Introducing....Merry Patterns!

Starting Friday, on the first of September, and through October 31st, you can get the Merry Patterns Stamp Set FREE.  All you have to do is host a party with $300 (US) in sales!  That's right!  This SUPER cute stamp set for free!  That's in addition to the regular stampin' rewards you'll earn too!  Merry Christmas to you indeed!  It's a limited time offer so make sure to contact your demo today and get on his or her calendar!

I think this set is super cute and I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw it!  I wanted to combine it with the Lovely Laurel Thinlit Dies.

But the front of the card really isn't that idea :-)  The front is pretty simple and while it's simple, I think it's really cute all on it's own too.  I just layered my oval over some gold metallic thread and some of the greenery from the laurel thin its   I actually made little mistake stamping the green in the season (see how it's off just a little bit) but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it offset a little bit.  My mistake turned out to be kind of great.  I think it really makes the word stand out!  It's all mounted on some festive striped paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP.  But let's get to the idea (because they usually don't come to me this fast...at all lol).

You see, growing up we always had an advent candle set that sat on top of our TV surrounded by greenery and I loved lighting it each week.  So, I thought those candles would look awesome as a pop up with the greenery from the lovely laurel dies!  I fussy cut out the candles and then adhered them to the pop up part of the banner.

Supe cute, right?  I think it's a fun little surprise for sure!  These candles are super fun to stamp, too!  I had a fun time trying out different color combos.  They are photopolymer so it's easy to line them up as well as the flames.  Three of the candles are on one stamp and three on another so you can have every other one a different color.  I used emerald envy and real red here.

And then, simply because I wanted to take a photo with my new phone (hehe...it's way better than my old one) I whipped up a second super simple yet adorable card the other night so you get a bonus today!  I just love this deer!

And how perfect does he pair with the Be Merry DSP?  FYI, that real red ribbon is tiny and adorable and ties like a dream!

I hope you enjoyed my projects today and I know you'll love what everyone else has to share as well!  Keep clicking along to see them all!  Next up is Miriam in the Netherlands!  She's just fantastic!

Happy hopping and happy stamping!
