Fab Friday 184

Hi stampers!  It's been quiet around here, eek!  I've just not been into sharing lately and my mom came to visit so we were busy!  I'll try to get better at getting back to blogging!!!!  Anyway, it's Friday and time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!

And here is my card!

I used Birthday Jubilee for a quick and cute card.  I love these colors, especially with this Bundle!

Let's Celebrate

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I hope your week is starting better than ours.  On top of the flu we have around here, Ian has an ear infection now.  I'm ready for everyone to be healthy!  So, it's a quick post today!

Birthday Bonanza and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies pair so well together!  My little lion is perfect in Mango and Curry and I snipped his little mane all the way around and used my bone folder to curl it up for a bit of dimension.  I also love this DSP pattern, so festive!

Back to taking care of my boys!

Starting Simply

Hi stampers!  Edited to add:  I've been trying to post this for two days!  For some reason this picture would act like it imported on my Mac but I couldn't find the image anywhere!  OY!  Finally, here we go!

My first official post of 2020!  I'm going to start off simply this week (after being in Illinois for over two weeks...so you can imagine what my house looks like after unpacking a car full of Christmas haha)!  The January-June Mini Catalog went live this week and I'm so excited about it!

I whipped up this cute but super simple card before I left home for the holidays!  I had to use the Bonanza Birthday Stamp Set first!

I'll admit, they look a little freaky without their faces on but they ares to stinkin' cute!  Just add some ink and a notecard and you have a cute little birthday card.  What kid wouldn't love this cute guy?

Off to organize and unpack some more.  I'm so far behind!

Fab Friday 169

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!  We have a sketch for you this time around!

I went pretty simple with this one and true to the sketch!  I have sadly been neglecting my Piece of Cake Stamp Set so I dug that out and I think I found a fun color combo with Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana.

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along!

Masculine Monday

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  I've got to get this card sent off.  An Instagram "influencer" from my hometown is doing a card drive for a sweet older gentleman she met at our mall (he likes to listen to the piano player in Von Maur, as do I, do you have Von Maur?  I really miss it here...anyway....) and kind of adopted as a grandpa.  I think that's super sweet and I love that it's in my hometown!

So I sat down the other day to make him a card and here is what I came up with...

I sort of used one of the cards in the catalog as my inspiration but then put my own twist on it, too.  I love that the DSP while a nautical theme, totally doesn't have to be used with anything nautical.

I did some sponging and distressing of the edges on the two panels as well as all across the corrugated one.  My main image is watercolored on Shimmery White Cardstock.  Make sure to let it dry completely before you stamp the pine leaves on!  I also let it dry before I added some drips and splatters.

I don't have a lot of time to link my supplies but I'll try to come back tonight and edit them!

Now to get this IN the mail...that's the hardest part for me, ha!

Fab Friday 168

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for Fab Friday again and we have a BRIGHT challenge for you today!

I dug out a returning set that I hadn't used in a while and think it's perfect for these colors!  And I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of gingham BUT I think it looks super sweet right here!  I also rarely use Pacific Point but again, today I'm a big fan!

I tried cutting the sentiment apart only to realize part of it had to be at an angle but I think it works anyway! I used my Stampin' Write Markers for the multi colored image and then used a Blender Pen on all of them to fill them in with a little color.  If you don't have all of the ink pads, the markers and Blender Pens are a great way to add color!

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and join us with these summery colors!

Happy stamping!
