Fab Friday 153

Hi stampers!  If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen why it's been quiet around here.  I've been trying to get all things Christmas done and then Ian came down with a NASTY bug.  Of course Jon was out of town, too.  It's the sickest I've ever seen him and they thought it was influenza.  Thankfully, he tested negative today and is acting much more himself but I'm struggling to make up for all the things I didn't get done while he was down.

So this post will be quick and straightforward and hopefully I can get it together in the new year :-)

It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!

I just love this set and I did NOT use it to it's fullest potential at all!  How cute is it as a Valentine?  And how cute are those sprinkles!  I actually use a lot of baker's Instagram accounts for color inspiration.  I wish I could make cute cookies, I mean real ones! ;-)

Manic Monday

Hi stampers!  My shirt today says, "In a holidaze".  Is anyone else feeling me?  LOL!  I have too much to do and not enough time to do it but I guess that's life in general ;-)

I have a quick project to share today!  I whipped this up for Chad when he was here last weekend as a little thank you.  My Young Living upline saw our pillow boxes and realized that our oil rollers and oil bottles would fit nicely in them!  I quickly embellished one up!

See how nice they fit in there!  If you wanted to make it extra fancy, just put some shredded paper in there!

I just love these boxes!

#simplestamping

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Where has this week gone????  I do not have enough (online or in person) shopping days left until Christmas, lol!  It's a good thing Stampin' Up! is on a "simple stamping" kick because that's all the time I have for cards!

At onstage, they really wanted to focus on the three things you need to stamp a card, stamps, paper, and ink.  Sometimes it really can be that simple!  I love making "fancy" cards but I've found that I really like keeping it simple, too!  Simple can be stunning!  Our Notecards make it easy, you don't have to cut them and they are pre-scored to fold!  And they include envelopes.  I went ahead and even stamped the envie for this one! IF THIS lazy stamper can do that, you can too ;-)

Ack!  Isn't it cute!?!?  Can we talk about those cascading stars for a minute?  SO PRETTY!

New to stamping?  All you need is a stamp, pack of notecards, and a few ink pads and you can make these as your Christmas cards!  And even if you're an experienced stamper, take a minute to try some simple stamping!  It was a challenge for me but a lot more fun than I expected!

Beautiful Bauble

Hi stampers!  Happy hump day!  The days are flying by and I am SO not ready for Christmas :-)  At least I have a card to share today!  This is a super simple one but I love it!

I used my blends to color this gorgeous ornament!  I just love this set and have not used it enough!  I then added a bow from the Candy Cane Season bundle!  I love mixing and matching sets!

Tags & Tidings Tuesday

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm getting a late start on this blog post thanks to a sick kid last night. Thankfully he seems fine this morning (starting at like 4 am, lol) but we'll be stuck at home or at least no gym or school for us today.  Maybe I can get some much needed laundry done and maybe some stamping!  Anyway, I am super excited to share my most recent class with you!

On Sunday, I had a few friends over and made a few new friends while making some fun Christmas tags with the Tags & Tidings Bundle!

Everyone was very impressed with the design of this one!  It's one stamp and one die and you can get all of those tags from one pass through the big shot!  SIXTEEN tags at once!  Now, they are super cute all on their own just plain, but for this class I made 12 tags in stepped up versions.

A few of them are direct copies from the tags shown in the catalog and the rest, I designed on my own and it was simple and fun!  If you'd like an individual picture of any of them you can contact me but momma doesn't have time for all that right now ;-)

My colors were Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron,, and Garden Green.  I also threw in a little Crumb Cake.  I pulled a lot of different dies and punches in.   I did want to point out that the leaves in the Warm Wishes tags were sprayed with some Champaign shimmer mist I made and they are gorgeous!

I hope everyone had a great time at the class, I sure did!  And what was even more exciting was our special guest!  Our Midwest South DDM, Chad Williams, came all the way from the home office in Utah to check out the class!  It was also nice to have an extra set of hands to help out!  I appreciated his help so much!  It was so fun I totally forgot to take any pictures of us or the class, DUH!!!! :-)  But, he also arranged a meet and greet for Tulsa demos Sunday night so we snapped a picture there.  Be kind, it was like 9pm and I turn into a pumpkin at around 8 LOL!

It was also really great to meet a few local demos since I didn't know any in the Tulsa area!  I'm hoping we can arrange a few more demo events in the new year!  If you're local to the area, shoot me a message!

Oh, and we also made a bonus card so I'll share that as well.  A version of this one can be found in the catalog but we kept it simple for new stampers!  The amazing thing about this stamp set is that it makes a CUTE background along with the tags!

Isn't that super cute!  A big thanks to Chad once again, and to my friends who came to stamp with me!  I can't wait for the next class!  I made a few bonus projects as my door prize and totally forgot to snap pictures!  I'm going to see if my friend who won them can send me some...stay tuned for that :-)

Mailable Monday - Well Not Really

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  What a weekend!  December is always a busy and exciting month but this weekend was particularly exciting!  On Sunday I had a class using the Tags & Tidings Bundle and the Midwest South Demonstrator District Manager, Chad Williams came to my class!  I mean my third class in the last five years?  Yeah, no pressure :-)  Hahaha!  The class was small but mighty and I hope they liked the tags.  I'll be sharing them later this week!

And then last night, we had a little meet and greet for Tulsa area demos which was really nice to meet some new friends in the area!

Now on to today's card.  So it IS simple but it's not mailable due to it's size.  But, this time of year, it's a great little card to throw in a package or gift bag!  It's amazing how many little gifts come up and it's nice to have some options for those!  I'll be making some more of these with our Narrow Notecards!

I don't always decorate my envelopes but these are so cute, I just had to!  And I love the bright colors.  Since this set is photopolymer, it's a breeze to line everything up!

Do yourself a favor and go whip up a few narrow note cards now to have on hand for your holiday giving!

Fab Friday 152

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for another Fab Friday challenge.  Time really does need to slow down for the holidays!  Too many things to do!  Anyone else feel me?  But since it is time, here's the challenge!

I kind of loooove these colors!  I know five is a lot but these are so gorgeous together and perfect for the holidays!  I was inspired by my friend Charlet, and a stunning card she posted this week!  The Dashing Along Designer Series Paper was a promotion earlier this year but has made a comeback while supplies last!

If you didn't grab it the first time around, you totally should, for this print alone!  I had forgotten about it, so I dug it out just for this page!  The DSP is actually Garden Green but you know what I love about SU is the ability to mix and match with your projects and this works just perfectly here.

I made a wreath very easily using my two sets of dies and then stamped the leaf image right over.  It looked too naked otherwise :-)  For a few finishing details, I used the sprig punch and some glimmer paper as well as our metallic pearls.  I just love this one!

I hope you like this color combo and will give it a try at Fab Friday yourself!  Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did, too!

Making Christmas Bright

Hi stampers!  Happy Thursday!  This month is flying by and it's the one time of year I don't want it to!  I meant to post the past few nights but we had our small group Christmas party so I'd been busy preparing for that!  Now I'm in full prep mode for my class I'm having on Sunday and now we have a winter storm warning coming for that, BOOOOO!

Anyway, here's a little card that I stamped over the weekend and I may be in love with these fun a dn festive colors!

I also love that Poppy Parade ribbon!  I picked it up over the Black Friday sales and I just love it!  Have you tried it?  I also really love that falling stars background stamp, isn't it fun?

Happy stamping!

PS, I'll come back this afternoon and add supplies, gotta run this morning!
