Rainbow Celebrate

Hi stampers!  So....I meant to post last night but I fell asleep, lol!  Sunday night, Ian decided to keep me up from 2am-5am or so and was up for the day jumping on my bed, at 6!  His allergies have been bothering him and he has a cough but he only coughs when he's awake so I guess he woke up and decided it was time to get up since he couldn't settle down with the coughing.  It. Was. Brutal.  LOL! Thankfully he slept all night last night as did I!  So, I'll share this card now, better late than never!

I used my markers a month or two ago on some watercolor paper and blended them together with an aquapainter.  And then I didn't really like it and it sat on my desk.  I finally decided to cut it out with the Celebrate You Thinlits though which totally worked!  If I use thicker paper I have to run my dies through the machine a few times to get them to cut clean through so I only ran this once so that it would keep the cut outs.  Sometimes I like that look!

The "you" is from Thoughtful Banners and I added a few white sequins over the embossed ones for a bit of interest.

Hope you like it!  Hopefully I'll get another post done for tomorrow since I'm not surviving on caffeine and crabbiness today, lol! ;-)

Rainbows and Unicorns

Hi stampers!  What goes together better than rainbows and unicorns?  I'm still so shocked this set didn't make it into the new catalog!  It's so on trend and so cute!  Better grab this bundle while you can!  This is probably one I won't part with!

Anyway, I was thinking the other day that I should use it with a sort of rainbow and I tried some watercolor techniques using the silicone mat and kind of the smoosh technique with the cloud decorative mask.  I basically made watercolor wash on my mat and used the mask to pick it up then lay that down on my paper.  It didn't turn out exactly as planned but I think it was pretty cool anyway!    I actually made this before I was able to get my hands on all the new inks so I used some of our returning in colors and our current colors!

I watercolored by unicorn to match and added some Wink of Stella.  My sentiment is from Thoughtful Banners.  That great set is carrying over!  You need that one, too!  It's so versatile!

You've got until Thursday which is tomorrow to grab this one out of the Occasions Catalog!

Pick a Pattern

Hi stampers!  I have a card today with very little stamping.  Don't get me wrong,  I love stamping BUT the pick a pattern paper is so cute that you barely have to!  The only things I stamped here are the hello (using thoughtful banners) and the little circle background on the stitched circle.

The cute critters are cut out from the DSP!  Aren't they just too cute?  I also would never put the colors together from this DSP on my own but they totally work!

Thankful Thursday

Hi stampers!  Look at me posting every day!  Don't get used to it, ha!  Anyway, since we had a break from the hello lovely color combo yesterday, I don't feel so bad showing AGAIN today;-)

I really do think this is one of the last things I have made up with it for now though.  For this card I cased a design by Amy O'neill and it's one I've used before.  I kind of love it!

Stamps:  Thoughtful banners, watercolor wings
Paper:  Whisper white, basic black, peekaboo peach, watercolor
Ink:  White craft ink, old olive, soft sky, peekaboo peach
Accessories:  Sweetheart punch, duet banner punch, circle punch, gold metallic thread, in color enamel shapes, hello lovely PL accessory kit, gold wink of Stella brush, white embossing powder,

I did some watercoloring for the background and then added some splatters with my wink of Stella pen.  The dots are actually from the watercolor wings stamp set and then there's some gold thread back there which is harder to see.  I really love the sweetheart punch and I forget to give it some love most of the time.  And then I finally broke down and got the thankful banners set.  You can see I bent my sentiment to fit within the banner.  I didn't do a great job so next time I'll be more careful and check it ;-)  But that's the nice thing about PP stamps, you can bend them!

And then there's the washi tape from the PL kit.  I LOVE it!

Happy stamping!
