The Mother of All Mother's Day Posts

Hi stampers!  So, as in most aspects of my life I'm lagging.  Surprise, right?  LOL!  Anyway, I wanted to share the three mother's day cards I made earlier this week for all my moms.  I guess I could have made one card for all three (yes three, we'll get to that in a minute) but where's the fun in that?  And I kind of like tailoring each card to each mom.

I made this card for my momma with the everyday hero set.  I LOVE this set and have not even come close to using it enough, dang it!  Now my mom is not big into super heroes or anything but she is the best mom around and she's a pretty incredible lady.  She likes bright colors too, so I think she'll like the new colors I used here!

I'll be missing her big time this weekend.  There haven't been many (if any?) mother's days where I haven't seen her :(

For my step mom, I used the delightful daisy suite.  She really likes flowers and this suite just kind of reminds me of her for some reason.  Do you ever just see something and it makes you think of someone?  She's the first person I thought of when I saw this in the new catalog.  The sentiment is from the oh so succulent set.  I'm STILL in denial that it's retiring!

And my third mom is my mother in law.  I made her this card because she likes mason jars :-)  She has quite a few of them decorating her house so I thought this would be cute!  Again, I'm LOVING the new in colors!  And do you SEE that cute tiny bow?????  They come with a little dimensional already glued on so you just peel and stick!  It's hard to tell in the catalog but they are made out of like a felt material, in case you were curious.

I'm not going to do a supply list since I have so many cards.  I've been skipping them with all the new stuff too, so I'll get back to them when it's updated with new supplies or I only post one card :-)

Hope everyone has a good Mother's Day...mothers and those who love like mothers alike!

Happy stamping!

Freaky Friends Jar

Hi stampers.  Things have been quiet around here after a week of posting.  Long story short is my mom was supposed to come visit then got really sick (which is rare for her), so sick that she couldn't come until almost a week later.  So, instead of stamping or blogging last week, I sat around being sad.  But, she's here now (although still not at 100%) so there's still not a lot of that stuff happening since we have been hanging out.  Please keep her in your thoughts though.  I don't ever remember her being sick for this long and I know she's really tired of feeling puney as she would say!  She's always on the go so it's tough for her to rest!

Anyway, I at least have this to share!  It's my new catalog swap for the Control Freaks.  I made about 1000 die cuts I think, haha!  But seriously, this set and framelits are just too cute!  The lid is embossed with copper and the new doilies are super cute!

I hope all the swappers liked it!  Hopefully we are off to Six Flags today if "Mamaw" feels up to it so there won't be much stamping around here again.  AND I need to figure out what I'm going to order out of the new Holiday Catalog (and maybe get up at 1am to do so since I'm crazy ha).  I can't wait to share all the fabulous new stuff with you guys.

Oh, and a certain someone around here turns TWO on Friday so I suppose I should stamp a birthday card!  I'm totally the mom who would forget to do that, lol!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 89

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!  I know summer is a busy time, but we'd love to have you play along!

This week is a sketch:

Try as I might, I just couldn't get the ribbon element to work out quite like it does in the sketch...but a sketch is just a suggestion or starting point, right?  So here's my little tweak on it.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Jar of love
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, 2016-2018 DSP stack
Ink:  Basic black, basic gray, pool party, peekaboo peach
Accessories:  Burlap ribbon, pool party stitched ribbon

I took a little liberty with making my fireflies kind of orange but I think it works.  I really wanted to use the peach DSP. And this card just makes me happy.  I used to catch fireflies and put them in a jar at my granny's farm all the time! I can't wait until Ian can do the same! He has his first mosquito bite, UGH!

Make sure to check out the rest of the DT's samples and play along, ok?

And if you haven't signed up as a new My Paper Pumpkin customer, what are you waiting for?  Time is ticking!  You only have a few hours left to get your first kit for $5!  Here's a fun sneak peek!
