A special request...

Hi stampers.  I don't have a project for you today but I do have a special request.  My sweet, sweet friend and fellow stamper (and SU demo at least once, hehe) has been dealing with a super sad situation regarding her mother's heath. My heart absolutely breaks for her and her family.  I'm asking you, at the end of this holiday season, to find it in your heart to help if you can.

Ilina's Go Fund Me Page

Even if you can't donate, please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.  Ilina is just the sweetest person, a great friend and an amazingly talented artist.  It would be the greatest Christmas gift to me if my friends could help her and her momma.  Our boys are only a few months apart and were able to meet at Convention this year as well as her meet my mom (who also thought she was just the sweetest :-) ).

I hope everyone had a happy and blessed Christmas!

A Fesitvus For...

the rest of us!  Hi stampers!  Happy Festivus!  LOL!  If you can't tell, I'm a Seinfeld fan ;-)  If you don't get this...I apologize....  While I'm sure I've got the airing of grievances covered (I've always got THAT covered, lol) I'm not sure how the feats of strength are going to go considering I've been avoiding workout out successfully for a while now, oops!  After all the yummy treats I'm sure going to have my work cut out for me!  Maybe after Christmas I'll have time to share my favorite holiday treats...both tried and true and NEW ones!  I got all my treats done yesterday and almost all my gifts are wrapped...just a few loose ends so to speak.  I actually got some christmas cards SENT too!

Anyway, here's a card I had wanted to case forever and finally got around to it.  I loved it in the catalog and it turned out really pretty as well!

Who would have thought that Bermuda Bay would go so well with a vintage color combo but it does!

Happy stamping!

Jolly Deer

Hi stampers!  How can Christmas be this week already?  I'm ready but I'm not ready!  I really think I'd like it if the holiday season was longer!  I'd have more time to get ready (ok, more time to procrastinate, lol) and more time to enjoy all the fun stuff!  I'm kind of dreading the time after Christmas, January-March can seem kind of long.  It's cold and often dreary and there's not a whole lot going on.  Last year was rough, with Ian being only 5-6 months old.  I'm hoping it will be a little better now that he's older and maybe I won't feel as trapped at home if it's cold.  He can do much more stuff now and there's lots of places to take him to learn and play!

Today it baking day and we'll be making all kinds of cookies and no-bake treats!  Hopefully I won't eat them all and I'm excited that Ian can enjoy some of them this year too!  I'm always looking for new things to try, what are your favorite holiday treats?

This is one of the last cards I made.  I was just playing round with some leftovers from cutting out the word.  I had intentionally cut it out at this placement in order to make a card with it!  Sometimes I have a bright idea...sometimes ;-)

I'm just going to CRY when this paper goes away in a few weeks.  I just love the vintage/retro feel and that dang deer is too sweet.  I'm warning you now, you may see it for a while!  I really love the music note design too.  I'm sure you couldn't tell that ;-)

Ok, time to check on the cookies ;-)

Happy stamping!

Peaceful Snowflake

Hi stampers!  I took Sunday off from blogging after a little road trip with the little man to my mom's house on Saturday.  And I'm not sorry about it, lol!  By the time I get us both packed up and drive 4+ hours alone with a toddler I'm pretty much done...with everything :-)

So, Sunday was a little less hectic even if we were on the go ALL day.  We ended our day by "going to town" to eat for Grandpa's birthday (it's TODAY) and taking Ian to see the drive through Christmas lights in the park.  You drive on the bike path and go about 2 miles an hour so I felt safe taking him out of his car seat so he could really see and he LOVED it.  He didn't even say anything...just looked back and forth, back and forth, ha!  I used to love a couple of displays like that growing up so I'm happy there are a few around here to take him to each year.  I hope he learns to love all the trappings of the holidays as much as we do!

Here's a simple card I made weeks ago using one of my favorite stamp sets!

Next on the Christmas agenda is cookie baking day (plenty of no bake goodies on the list too).  Ian may not be much help there....but I'm sure he'll enjoy my efforts this year ;-)

Happy stamping!

Simple Tree

Hi stampers!  I have a very simple and mailable card.  I'm really loving traditional green and bright red this holiday season...and of course pops of gold!  My posts may get shorter and shorter as we get closer and closer but hey, at least I'm blogging, right?  :-)

Another Christmas Case

Hi stampers!  I have another case from our demonstrator magazine!  This project was actually a treat holder in the magazine but of course I changed it to be a card.  At first, I didn't even realize it used mint macaron.  I would have never really thought to use it for a Christmas card but it totally works!

I'm off to get ready to go see Star Wars with my hubby!

Christmas Casing

Hi stampers!  As you know, since I whine about it all the time....I've had trouble with stamping inspiration for a long while now.  But, I've been stamping "a lot" for me recently and what got that started was pretty simple.  It was casing.  I don't really care to case many cards and I prefer to use ideas from the catalogs as opposed to other people's creations (of course I know the concept artists made the samples in the catalog but it's just how I roll....).  So, I need to learn to copy something out of the catalog the next time I sit down and can't come up with anything.  Often, after I do that, I get inspired with my own idea.  And if I don't, at least I stamped something!

This card is cased directly from the Holiday Catalog and I love it!  It's so simple but festive and fun!

That red foil paper is just awesome!  And of course, you know I love the plaid DSP!

I've got a few more cases to share and a few more to check off my list too!  Did you know as a demo you get an exclusive magazine full of advice and ideas just for demos?  There are a lot of fun ideas I plan on caseing out of the last one if I get time!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday Fail

Hi stampers!  So I mentioned back on my recent Fab Friday post that I had wanted to make another card for the challenge but Ian had other plans and I didn't get it finished in time.  Well, I finished it :-)
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh what fun, holly jolly greetings
Paper:  Very vanilla, pool party, mossy meadow, home for Christmas DSP
Ink:  Real red, pool party, mossy meadow

I'm still sad it didn't work out for Fab Friday as I really liked the way it turned out but oh well.  I'm just in love with that music DSP!  I would buy a whole pack of just it!  And I really can't get enough of these colors together.

Mad for Plaid

Hi stampers!  I'm baaaaack ;-)  Don't fall over, ok?

If there's one thing I can't get enough of this season, it's plaid!  I am loving it!  I've gotten a number of plaid shirts (and currently lusting over some plaid skirts that are sold out), scarves, and I THINK I'm getting a plaid puffer vest from Santa ;-)  I'm also looking to replace our tree skirt with a plaid one if I can find it!  And get RID of the evil one we have now with bells that we keep stepping on...it's as bad as a lego, ouch!

So, I was excited when I remembered about the Christmas paper in the main catalog!  I forgot it had this awesome plaid print!  It's just so festive!  I actually made this one a while back but never got around to sharing it!  I also love the cheer all year stamp set and it's just a happy card!

Stampin' supplies:
Stamps:  Cheer all year
Paper:  Whisper white, real red, old olive, mossy meadow, merry moments DSP
Ink:  Whisper white, mossy meadow

I really like the combo of old olive and mossy meadow together!  Very festive!  And yep, there's that plaid paper again....I am really sad I forgot about it for so long...that always happens with main catalog stuff when I see the holiday catalog...

I'm going to try to do the 12 days of Christmas and blog and share every day....we shall see ;-) So far so good, right?  And I suppose I SHOULD be doing things like finishing my shopping and wrapping and stuff like that....hehe.

It's a Christmas Miracle!

Hi stampers!  I stamped!  For like a couple of hours on Saturday and made multiple cards!  This is a big deal.  I usually struggle to get just one.  I cased a few out of the catalog and came up with a few on my own so woohoo!

I had planned to stamp during nap time both Thursday and Friday since Ian usually takes around a 3 hour nap!  He, however, had other plans :-)  He ended up getting his first ear infection so his naps both days were about an hour.  I started to suspect something on Thursday since he usually sleeps so much longer.  He is getting like 7 or 8 teeth (OMG) including four molars....all at once.  Eek!  So, I chalked some of it up to that.  And then Friday I was exhausted from not sleeping well (totally aside from him being sick) then trying to get us to the doctor which took most of the morning.  It was couch surfing for momma after his bed time instead of stamping!  Thankfully, he's a trooper and doing much, much better already.  He was back to his 3 hour nap over the weekend and I got to work!  Never mind the house is a mess and I have a mile long to do list.  I was stamping!!!!!  I hope I can get the photos edited and blog posts up to share with you!  I'm very happy but sad that Christmas is almost here and I have so much more holiday stamping I'd like to do...in a perfect world...

Here is a card that I think I'll send to my dad and step mom.  I think they will like it.  And it's taken me way too long to ink up this stamp!

Fab Friday 79

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday.  I really love this color combo!  It can be found in the home for Christmas suite and it's just fun and festive!  It's pretty much my go to color combo as of late. Of course, it makes great cards for other occasions too but I'm in full on Christmas mode.

I actually wanted to share a different card but Ian had other plans.  Said card is still sitting unfinished on my desk after a not so great nap on Thursday which is odd.  He's usually Mr. Naps Three Hours.  I hope he isn't getting sick!  Eek!  Anyway, there's nothing wrong with this card, I just really wanted to use the "new" one with a bit more red.  Oh well :-)

I finally used my peaceful pines die!  It's so fun!  And I had to throw in just a little sparkle with the gold glimmer paper!

Make sure to play along with us at Fab Friday!  It's our last challenge until February and we've left it open a few days longer with Christmas and all!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 78

Hi stampers!   Happy Black Friday!  I hope you all had a great Thanksving and a fun Black Friday if you went shopping!  If we all don't have enough going on, it's time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!  Obviously, I've been kind of busy as I let blogging slack...again....anyway here's the new challenge:

It's taken straight from the catalog!  I was super excited to play along and share and then I totally forgot to take a picture of my card and was gone before this post went up, ARGH!  The best laid plans, right?  Anyway, at least I have SOMETHING for you even if I'm not very excited about it.  I was able to use the old MDS program in it's new non-MDS format (sad face) to come up with something at least.

It's pretty literal from the sketch....but it works in a pinch!

We hope that you'll have some down time after the holiday and can play along with us!

Happy stamping!

Have yourself a freaky little Christmas!

Hi stampers!  It's time for the Control Freaks blog hop!  We go live on the evening of the 19th but it's technically the 20th so make sure you come back to make sure everything is working a-ok!

You may have come from my stampy BFF Wendy's blog, weren't her projects merry???  Don't worry if you're starting here though as technically I'm first this time, we make a nice little loop so just keep clicking and you'll get all the way around!

Since the holidays are fast approaching, the theme this month is Christmas of course!  I have decided that Christmas stamping is my JAM and my favorite thing to do.  I tend to make more Christmas cards and projects than anything.  And I always go nuts for the Holiday catalog.  It's just my M.O. I guess and not surprising.  I love Christmas and I collect Hallmark ornaments too!  Anyway, I decided to share one super simple Christmas card today and then the opposite of that :-)  Feel free to click on them to make them bigger and really see the details!

So, here's my first card.
Stampin Supplies:
Stamps: Seasonal snapshot 2015
Paper:  Whisper white (heavy)
Ink:  Real red, pool party, crushed curry, mossy meadow
Accessories:  Gold sequin trim

I used the seasonal snapshot (2015) Project Life set which I LOVE!  It's so great for cards in addition to using with the PL cards!  I cased this card from a pin pinned by SU.  I'm 99% certain it's straight from SU and I'm not casing another demo.  IF I'm wrong feel free to let me know :-)  I love the tradition colors with non-traditional ones like yellow and blue.  It's just happy and merry!

My other project uses one of my other favorite things in the holiday catalog, the home for Christmas suite.  I just LOVE the vintage/retro look of it and those Santas and deer are just the most adorable things ever.  I know you may have seen this background with this suite from me a lot but one, it works, and two, I had some left over from my Control Freaks swap (which I'm not sure I've shared or the prototype either).  I pretty much just piled everything possible on this one :-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Holly jolly greetings
Paper:  Very vanilla, pool party, red foil, home for Christmas DSP
Ink:  Pool party, mossy meadow
Accessories:  Tea lace doilies, foil dolies, home for Christmas enamel dots, gold thread, happy patterns mask, Christmas greetings thinlits, snowflake elements

I just am in love with the red foil paper, I mean I want to marry it! It's so gorgeous!  I finally broke out my Christmas greeting thinlits too!  I've cheaped out and not bought the  precision plate for thinlit dies...so I have a little tip for you if you don't use it either.  The design on the die will leave little imprints in the holes in the die.  I just took my bone folder and really carefully rubbed them out.  Perfection!  And it's hard to see but there is a bow made out of the gold thread in the snowflake ;-)

Ok, now it's time to go check out LeeAnn's blog and her awesome projects!

Happy stamping!

Time flies

Hi stampers!  How can Thanksgiving be next week already?  I haven't made the amount of fall and turkey day cards I'd like but time isn't slowing down :-)

Here's a simple autumn card I made last week.  I really had kind of forgotten about this set that carried over into the main catalog and it's perfect for fall and Christmas!  And while I love that I can cut it out with framelits, it works on it's own perfectly too...and it's easy and much faster ;-)

I should be stamping and I tried but I'm having trouble with some tendonitis in my wrist (which was from Ian and is now from working out I think) so I decided to wear my brace and give it some rest which means sitting at my computer is one of the few activities I can do.  It gets in the way of everything else.

Maybe I'll feel more like it tonight when dad can take over all the heavy lifting :-)

Happy stamping!

Get it together already....

Hi stampers!  So....I swear I'm going to try to get my life together and not only STAMP but BLOG!   I'm still having some techie issues with my editing software so I tend to get annoyed and just quit editing pictures all together.  Stupid, I know.

I am managing to stamp off and on a little bit which is better than nothing.  I'm still having trouble coming up with ideas.  I also do better when I have long dedicated blocks of time...which don't really happen often with Ian, lol!  I really need to get with it though and use all the holiday goodies because the Occasions ones are fast approaching!!!!!  Eeeep!  I get to take a peek either tonight or tomorrow morning...probably the latter....I like my sleep ;-)

Here is a quick and simple card I came up with using the Project Life set which I LOVE!  And I love cozy sweaters which is just what it reminds me of!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Seasonal snapshot 2015
Paper: Very vanilla, delightful dijon
Ink:  Cajun crazy, blackberry bliss, mossy meadow, delightful dijon

I can't believe Thanksgiving is just next week!  And I know I mentioned the Occasions catalog up there....it's coming up AND for the first time SU has given us a retired list from the Holiday Catalog so check it out on my store (just click over there to the right) and make sure you grab anything you've been putting off!

I've also done a terrible job at keeping you all updated on Ian and I'll try to do better there as well.  He is currently sleeping off his shots at his 15 month appointment this morning.  We were a bit late as his doctor is Canadian and had been back home for a bit but better late than never...although Ian might disagree ;-)  He didn't have the best time today but once we got home and he had lunch he was much happier!

He's 33 inches (which is basically off the charts and the size of a 2 year old) and 25 pounds.  He does 4-5 signs and has around 10 words although he "talks" a lot!  He enjoys "reading" and playing with every single toy we have.  He loves dogs and it was one of his first words.  He loves our dog...the feeing is not mutual ;-)  He is generally happy and listens pretty well.  He has a lot of funny "tricks" like walking backward, sticking his tongue out, spinning in circles, and laying down.  He LOVES chick fil a and really loved Chipotle.  Black beans are his love language!  He's SUPER clingy lately, even not allowing Jon's parents to hold him AT ALL at our last visit.  I'm looking forward to that stage ending ASAP!  He's been walking well since about 13 months and now he runs!  He is very funny...and knows it :-)  And he's definitely getting a mind of his own...yikes.  Really, I could just go on and on!  :-)  But I'll share a few pics and shut up ;-)

This is what he does if you tell him to lay down, lol!
Modeling his new car seat coat/ponch because mom HATES winter coats ;-)
His no shave November black bean beard ;-)
Hope you enjoyed!  I hope to be back to share more soon!

Don't forget to check out the retiring Holiday merchandise, ESPECIALLY the Project Life stuff!  It's so great for keeping your memories from the holidays!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 77

Hi stampers and happy Friday!  Another two weeks have come and gone and I haven't managed to blog...surprise, surprise!  I swear, I'm about to give up.  As soon as I do that I bet I manage to blog a bunch, lol!  I am stamping now and then but I just canNOT for the life of me seem to blog and stamp!

Sigh....anyway at least it's Friday AND it's time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!

Of course we have a very "fall" color challenge for you this time around.  Thanksgiving will be here before you know it!

My card is pretty simple but I like it.  And I had kind of totally forgotten about this set, which hello???   It's awesome!  I had to add some crumb cake in, but hey, it's a neutral ;-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Wondrous wreath, hardwood
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, blackberry bliss
Ink:  Cajun craze, hello honey, blackberry bliss
Accessories:  Wreath framelits, gold buttons, linen thread

Make sure to head over to Fab Friday and check out all the pretty pictures!  Oh yeah, play along too :-)

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 76

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  I know it's been radio silence over here...I've been stamping some but I can't get into a regular rhythm of it or blogging...I struggle more with blogging obviously.  Maybe I'll figure it out some day...we'll see.

Anyway, at least it's Fab Friday time!  We have a sketch this week.

I loved this sketch but for some reason I struggled with it when I sat down to work.  Figures.  I broke out some new goodies I got recently at least!  Woohoo!

Stampin' Supplies: (Coming over the weekend...I can't find a catalog to reference at the moment)
Stamps:
Paper:
Ink:
Accessories:

The thinlits are ADORABLE and that red foil paper is gor-jus!  It's just so pretty!

Make sure to check out all the samples from the DT and play along!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 75

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for another new challenge at Fab Friday!  This week we have a unique color combo for you that we pulled straight out of the SU holiday catalog!

I normally pair purple with orange and black and I think green works well in there too for Halloween BUT I have to say I really like this combo for something different for Halloween.  Of course you don't have to make a H-ween card but we all know I can't resist a Halloween card!

Here's what I came up with:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Cheer all year
Paper:  Very vanilla, Bermuda bay, tangelo twist, happy haunting DSP, black glimmer paper
Ink:  Basic black, Bermuda bay, tangelo twist
Accessories:  2.5" circle punch, deco label frameits

I love that DSP with the stars!  I also love the black glimmer paper!   I wasn't sure how the black on  black would go but since I cut the bats out of vanilla CS, they really stand out.  And I'll tell on myself yet again...the framilit is tangerine tango and not tangelo.  I didn't realize until I'd already done part of it...so oh well.  And you know you can always sub colors if you don't have the exact one ;-)

Make sure to check out the rest of the design team and play along with us!

Fab Friday 74

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Another week has come and gone and I haven't stamped or blogged, boo!  Oh well.  Maybe one of these days I'll get it together.  The good news is I got totally inspired with the Fab Friday sketch today...the bad news is I didn't have time to make more than one card by the timeI got it done and then had to get all the blog posts up.  I really like the sketch this week and have a LOT of ideas for it!

It's a simple sketch but I really wanted to do a lot of things with it!  I finally settled on a Christmas card but there will be some Halloween cards coming soon!  And more Christmas cards too!  I keep forgetting I have the season of cheer DSP as a convention freebie.  It's not one I would have gotten on my own.  It's not that I don't care for it, it's just not a must have for me.  But, I felt like I should give it a try for this sketch.  I think it turned out pretty well!  And the only actual stamping is the sentiment.  The DSP made pretty quick work of this card.  And the main panel is layered on our gold foil sheets although it's not showing well in the photo.  It's kind of stunning in real life!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Oh what fun
Paper: Whisper white, pear pizazz, mossy meadow, gold foil sheets, season of cheer DSP
Ink:  Cherry cobbler
Accessories:  Wooden snowflake elements, gold buttons, linen thread

Make sure to check out the rest of the team's creations and play along with us!

Happy Stamping!

It's Freakin' Fall!

Hi stampers!  I'm so ready for fall and it seems to be taking it's sweet time getting here.  It felt like summer was never going to get here this past year and while I'm sad about not being able to take my little guy to the pool, I'm so ready for crisp temps and all things fall!  I may be itching to wear all the fun new fall clothes I've acquired too...bring on the boots and the layers!

Anyway, since we're celebrating fall with our Control Freaks blog hop this month!  Fall and the holidays is the theme this time around which is right up my alley ;-)

The tour actually goes live on the 20th so make sure to check back then if you pop in early just in case there are any bugs we had to work out ;-) You may have clicked on over from Connie's blog, weren't her projects fabulous?  If you didn't, don't worry as we make a never ending circle so just keep clicking!

My first card is actually one of two recent Control Freak swaps we just sent off.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Thankful forest friends
Paper:  Whisper white, old olive, soft suede, into the woods DSP
Ink:  Soft sude, old olive, tangerine tango
Accessories: Linen thread, into the woods cotton ribbon, woodland embossing folder

The fox is fussy cut and yes, I cut 20+ of them :-)  I based the main part of the card off of the little Christmas make and take from convention.  It was so cute!

My second card is pretty simple but I kind of love it.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Acorny thank you
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, blackberry bliss, kraft
Ink:  Soft suede, hello honey, rich razzleberry
Accessories:  Acorn builder punch, linen thread

And there you have it.  Make sure to click on over to Heidi's blog to see her amazing projects if you haven't already!

Thanks for joining us and happy stamping!

Fab Friday 73

Hi stampers!  It's Friday...and I have posted very little.  I had all these big plans on vacation in California to edit photos and schedule posts and just get organized...and then it didn't happen, ha!  I needed a vacation from my vacation, I was so busy.  Oh well.  I planned to do a bunch of fussy cutting for my Control Freak swaps...which I also forgot to do.  So, last week was spent slaving away to get those done before I went to my mom's house for a few days.  Are you seeing a pattern here????  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday of course!

We've got some fab fall colors for you this week!

Of course, you may not see fall colors...you may see something else!  So make sure to show us and play along!

Here's what I did...when I finally found my stamp set.  It had fallen down behind the other ones and I couldn't find it for the life of me!  Grrrrrrr!  I guess it didn't know that my nap time stamping clock was ticking ;-)

It didn't turn out quite like I'd pictured but that bear is pretty darned cute anyway!

Make sure to check out the other inspiration from the design team and play along!

Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 72

Hi stampers and Happy Friday!  I'm kind of wishing I was back at Disneyland where I was last Friday :-)  But, we're back to reality over here and just in time for Fab Friday!  We have a fun sketch for you this week!

AND most exciting of all (and maybe making not being at Disney a little bit more tolerable, hehe) is that I made one of my best and most favorite cards EV-AH which is a big stinking deal these days since I'm lacking in creativity 90% of the time!  So, excuse me while I squeeeeeee over this card:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, what fun
Paper:  Whisper white, real red, pool party, mossy meadow, home for Christmas DSP
Ink: Craft white, pool party, mossy meadow
Accessories:  Spritzer, gold satin ribbon, doilies, home for Christmas enamel dots, linen thread, snowflake elements, gold sequin trim, 2.5" circle punch, labels collection framelits

It actually all came from a "mistake" so to speak while working on designing a swap.  I found that I wasn't crazy about spritzing this background but I saved the piece anyway and figured I could work it into something ad the rest is history!  There are so many things I love on here!  The enamel dots are so fun and I LOVE those snowflake elements!  The sentiment is from the stamp set that goes with the tags kit.  You can use it for way more than tags!  The gold satin ribbon is my new favorite!  So pretty and soft!  And that deer....swoon!

Make sure to visit Fab Friday and see all the other DT samples and make sure to play along!

Happy stamping!

Fall Feathers

Hi stampers!  It's starting to look like fall in the evenings.  What is it about the light in the evening in August-October?  It just "feels" like fall!  But man, it sure doesn't feel like fall!  It's so hot!  I'm looking forward to it cooling down a bit.  It's too hot to play outside with the little guy and too hot to run/walk outside with him too.  He really enjoys the stroller so hopefully it will cool down soon!

And I guess I should have shared this card yesterday since it's a fall card ;-)  I love this set.  It's so versatile and while it's made for the wreath kit, it's totally a stand on it's own set!  I'm still having a few editing glitches so this pic is a bit off, sorry.  But you can get the gist :-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Cheer all year
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, hello honey or delightful dijon (sorry), gold glimmer
Ink: I can't remember, whoops
Accessories:  None

I used both feather stamps and stamped the solid one with a lighter ink and then the striped one in a darker shade.

And as a side note, would you please pray for the Fox Lake community and the surrounding communities and for the officers friends and family.  The recent police shooting has hit us a lot closer to home than I'd like (of course I'd like it to not happen anywhere).  I really hope they catch the people.  I'll sleep a lot better when justice can be served. The whole situation just sickens me.  Thanks.

First Day of Fall

Hi stampers!  Happy fall!  Ok, not really since it's not actually fall and it's as hot as you know what over here but how can it be September already?  And honestly, no matter what the weather, September feels like fall for me!  I'm quite excited for cooler temps, fall clothes (and boots) for me AND for Ian, pumpkin patches, and NO BUGS!  Seriously, the mosquitoes are out of control this year!

Know what else is signaling fall?  The HOLIDAY catalog officially begins today!

Contact me if you'd like a copy and remember, you can shop my store 24/7 with the link on the right sidebar! I took a little trip to California last week (didn't feel like fall there either) so now that I'm back, I'll be working on getting some classes and stuff up soon!  Stay tuned for that!  There is SO MUCH fun stuff in here!

And here's a little card.  The main image was made at convention and then I added it to a card when I got back.  This is hands down my favorite suite/items in the catalog!

If you don't hear from me for a while it's because I lost my dang mind and designed a swap (actually two) that needs almost 30 of these guys hand cut!  You know what I'm doing from now until their due date ;-)

Fab Friday 71

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  How can it be Friday already?  Ian and I were at my mom's earlier this week and had so much fun!  I made sure to make my Fab Friday card ahead of time last week for this fun fall color challenge!

While I'm sort of sad for summer to end (it was so cool early on it feels like it just really started) I am excited for fall. I love the cooler temps, the leaves, trips to the pumpkin patch, and fall clothing!  I just got a super cute pair of Sperry boots that I can't wait to wear!  Anyway, this challenge is all about fall color so I used the new fall set in the holiday catalog and came up with this card.

It didn't turn out quite like I'd imagined but that's ok!

Make sure to check out all the other team member's projects and play along with us!

And PS...if you're waiting on my comments from the challenge I'll do them this weekend.  My mom's internet is so slow so I had to wait until I got home...and then there was unpacking...and groceries...and laundry...and....  ;-)

Cozy Christmas

Hi stampers!  It's Christmas in August again :-)  I have to say I'm really enjoying the summer as it seems to have gotten a late start.  It was cool here through June and we didn't do a whole lot but now it's been hot and we have tons going on so it really feels like summer.  And while I never really want summer to end, I really love fall and the holidays, especially the Christmas season!  I'm not ready to let go of the nice weather yet but I'm also longing for cozy sweaters, scarves, and boots and decorating for the holidays!  I feel it's a conundrum, hehe!

And with all the fabulousness in the upcoming Holiday catalog, I've been making it a priority to stamp and now to share!  I really want to get back to blogging, stamping, and even having classes (both in person and online) so stay tuned!  Here's a little card made with the cozy Christmas suite which I love!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Cozy Christmas
Paper:  Very vanilla, real red, pool party, home for Christmas DSP
Ink:  Real red, pool party, mossy meadow
Accessories:  Crochet trim, circle and modern label punches

Along with a stamp set, I won this trim at convention and thought it was the perfect thing to pair with this slightly retro, slightly vintage suite!  And I'm still having some trouble editing photos so they are still not the quality I'd like and I don't have my watermark.  Grrrr!

Fab Friday 70

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday.  This week we have a sketch.

It may have been inspired by something in the new and fabulous Holiday Catalog hence the Christmasy vibe ;-)

Speaking of the Holiday Catalog, I may have gotten my hands on a few of the new goodies coming your way soon!  I went with Halloween since it'a bit closer!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Cheer all year
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, happy haunting DSP
Ink:  NEW archival basic black, rich razzleberry, tangelo twist
Accessories:  Mini stapler, into the woods cotton ribbon

I got my hands on some photo editing software that works for now but I don't love it and I don't have my watermark as you can see.  But, it's better than nothing I suppose.  I actually didn't buy any outright Halloween stamps and don't plan to.  None of them spoke to me that I HAD to have them but this multi-occasion set that goes with a new wreath kit DID speak to me!  It's so cute!  I think that I can make many Halloween cards with it and a few of the Halloween/fall accessories and DSP!  I also fell victim to the mini stapler at convention.  After getting to play with it I had to have it!  This also uses the NEW basic black and it's amazing!

Make sure to check out the rest of the design team and play along with us!

Happy stamping!
