Oklahoma Snow Day

Hi stampers!  Getting a late start to sharing this week but you know how it goes.  We got less than an inch of snow so it's a snow day here, hahahaha!   To be fair, more in coming down, but being from Illinois (especially our last location with lake effect snow and Jon having lived in Canada) it really isn't a big deal to us.  If school or the gym was open, we'd be going....just slowly and carefully.  But anyway, maybe I'll finally get caught up on all the things I want and need to do.

I better get started on Valentine's Day since it's fasts approaching!  Here's a sweet and super simple card with the Heartfelt Bundle.

The inside sentiment is cute, too, I just forgot to take a picture of it.  This set has a few options for cute sayings!

Don't forget to join my FB group so you can always get the supply lists for my projects.

I am curious how many people still read blogs.  I'm considering going to all social media sites as it's easier.  Blogging is a LOT of work by the time I edit photos and everything plus I'm posting on social media anyway.  Let me know if you still read down in the comments! <3 p="">

Fab Friday 182

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Just a heads up, I have two blog posts live for today so make sure to check out the Fancy Friday post as well!

Anyway, it's that time, time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!  This time it's a color challenge!

Please note that I'm on the struggle bus lately and the logo says Mambo Melon instead of Melon Mambo, but I think you catch my drift ;-)

I went with the obvious, obviously ;-)  A nice little Valentine!

I really love that little accent stamp I used in the background, it's so cute!  And don't forget you actually get THREE colors in the heart doilies, turn em over and you've  got white!

Anyway, that's my card and I hope you like it.  Please make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and please, play along with us!

Paper Pumpkin Is The Bee's Knees

Hi stampers!  Quick little post today!  Are you signed up for Paper Pumpkin with me?  If not, you should be!  It's great for beginners or seasoned crafters and everyone in between!  It comes with everything you need to make a cute and relatively quick project!  It's also great if you want to be creative but don't want to invest the time, money, or space that the crazies like me have ;-)

Right now is a great time because of Sale A Bration, if you purchase a prepaid option (you can also sign up on a month to month basis if that's your jam), you can earn FREE SAB items!  You can order three, six, or twelve month subscriptions!

Let me know if you have questions or need more help!  If you do want to sign up, here's the link!  If I get some local-to-Tulsa subscribers I'll start a Paper Pumpkin night and invite you to my house to make the kits!

And if you're looking to do fun alternative projects, I'll try to post inspiration as well.  Like this little treat box I whipped up with one of our little clear treat boxes and a few elements from the kit and little bit of card stock of my own!

Could it BEE any cuter?

Let me know if I can help you in any way, ok?

Happy Valentime's Day

Hi stampers!  No, that's not a typo in the title of my blog post.  That's how the 4 year old says Valentine's and I kind of love it :-)  I'm a bad mom and haven't made his card yet (he's requested LOTS of cards and treats lol) so that's on the agenda while he's at school.  I do have his treats ready to go for his class thanks to My Paper Pumpkin last month!

Speaking of MPP, it's turning SIX in March!  To celebrate, they are including a second bonus stamp set in each cute kit!

You can click the graphic to sign up!  Make sure to do it before March 10th!

Anyway today's card is super simple because I have dropped the ball on Valentine's and pretty much everything this week...we've had a lot to do, appointments and what not.  Whoops!  But that's what I love about Stampin' Up!  You can spend lots of time on complicated projects or a little time on simple ones that are still stinkin' cute, like this!

Isn't it cute?  All I did was stamp and color in with some Blends markers!

Happy Valentine's Day and happy stamping!

February Is Flying By

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  How can it be the week of Valentine's Day already?  January was so long but in true fashion, February is flying by!  I'm way behind on Valentine production but at least Ian's treats are mostly done thanks to January's My Paper Pumpkin!

I actually had a class with some friends and the refill kits (which are sold out now, I got them early, knew they'd be hot) over the weekend and we cranked out some pillow boxes!  We were delighted to find that there were a lot of extra pieces left over.  I supposed I knew this but I can't count ;-)  This kit was so amazing since it coordinated with the Animal Outing Bundle in the catalog!

While I used one of the remaining cut outs from the kit, you could easily swap out the stamped image in the stamp set for this card!  I actually was going to make it with the stamp set and then decided I was way too lazy to stamp and color it, LOL!  I just love these bright colors together!

One In A Chameleon

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  I have something fun for you today I think!  But first, we have to talk about My Paper Pumpkin or MPP for short!  My Paper Pumpkin is our cute and fun little surprise crafting box that shows up every month.

MPP is perfect for everyone but especially beginners or people who don't have or want to invest a lot of time, money, and space but still want to make pretty things!  The boxes come with everything you need to make the projects which vary from month to month (hence the surprise).  I had actually taken a break from it for a while and I was a SAD PANDA when I saw January's box!  It was SO cute!  And so fun!  They had made the kit so it coordinated with one of our current bundles in the Annual Catalog, Animal Outing!

This is one of the cutest sets in the catalog, I think!  There is a designer series paper that coordinates, too!  Anyway, I was able to snag a box from my friend and I'm having some friends over to make the cute Valentine's tomorrow!  I'll share them next week!

But, I've made some things with the stamp set from the paper pumpkin kit and I'm in love with this one!  I did a watercolor background and I will say this one took a while.  I let all of the layers and colors dry in between so make sure you have some time if you want to re-create it!

And it's so funny that Ian just came home yesterday with a chameleon he'd made at school where they are learning about them!  He's requested lots of cards and treats (lol) for Valentine's so I'll have to include this one for him!  He really is one in a million so this is perfect! ;-)

But seriously, how cute and clever is this?  I just love it!

They have also given us a little sneak peek into this month's kit!  It's sure to be cute and they have let us know it's cards!  If you want to sign up, you can just click HERE and make sure you put me as your demonstrator.

You can also sign up for pre-paid boxes (6 and 12 months) in my store using the shop 24/7 link over to the right and earn FREE Sale A Bration items!

Mailable Monday - Manic Monday

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  So I realized I need to share and make more Valentine's Day card since it's going to be here before we know it!  I whipped this up the other day and love the combo of Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape, Petal Pink and Highland Heather.

I also love the Rectangle Framelits.  For the circle, I just doodled some stitches to mirror the main panel.  This one is much prettier in person, too.  It wouldn't photograph the way I wanted.  Grrrrr!

That's it for today!  Gotta get busy.  Is Monday busy for you?  We always do our "usual" stuff like the gym but we have to grocery shop and then my in laws where here over the weekend so I'll be straightening up the house, too:-)  And I have a ton of other stuff to catch up on (baskets of clean laundry lol).  We also go to a fun little sports camp for Ian.  Monday-Funday or manic Monday!!!

Happy stamping!

Ian's Valentine's

Hi stampers!  It's that time I suppose, to show you Ian's Valentine's (that at this point still aren't all made lol).  I'm sort of cheating because they are TOTALLY based off of the ones I made him last year which you can find here.  I have to say, I liked those better because I liked that little bunny better but I worked with what I had.

He loves Annie's Bunny Gummies so I picked another box of the Valentine ones up at Target.  They are smaller than the ones last year and I'm lazy so I still used my template from last year, lol!

I did use some retired DSP because it's all I had in real red that worked.  I stamped the rabbit from dark to light and used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Sahara Sand.  My greeting is pieced together from one of the sentiments in the set, the Alphabet Labler Stamp, and I used the Saleabration dies for the you!  Don't forget you can get those FREE with an order of $100 before the end of March.  I made my bow from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack that you can get free with a $50 order.  It's super cute as well!

Here is the inside.  It's small but it still works.   I'm just going to write Ian's name on the package.  We aren't supposed to personally address each one so less work for me ;-)  Sorry about the shadow in this photo.  Whoops!

So to make these, I just took a 3" x 10" strip of Real Red and scored it at 4.24", 4.5", and 9".

This year, we have a nifty little die that can make the closure!   The Lots To Love Box Framelits Dies has those little wonky dies.  They actually make a little place on the box to insert your finger and open it but they work just great for a matchbook cover too!

Simply place the die about a quarter of an inch up from the score line on what will be the bottom flap of the matchbook.

And that was it.  Pretty easy!  Now....will I get them all made?  I probably will on Wednesday since I have until Thursday hahaha!  And I'm totally excited for Valentine's with Ian.  We were talking about it the other day and I said it was about love and asked him who he loved.  His reply was, "everyone....and God".  He's so cute...most of the time ;-)  And he wants some balloons and is SO excited about them ;-)

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Valentine's Edition

Hi stampers!  It's been a while since I did a mailable Monday post...or scheduled a post to publish on time for that matter, ha!  Trying to get my act together over here!

Valentine's is almost upon us and of course I haven't made Ian's treats yet but his party isn't until Thursday so I get an extra day.  They are designed at least and I'll try to share them tomorrow!

For this card, it could really be an anytime card but would make a good Valentine, too!

My background is with the yellow Brusho.  I wet my paper, sprinkled it on, and then blended it with my aqua painter.  The yellow does have some red crystals in it and you can kind of see some of those but they look way less noticeable if you blend.  I also stamped some hearts from one of the Occasions hostess sets, Yay You,  after it was dry.

My image is colored with the Blends markers and totally adorable!

Bright Valentine

Hi stampers!  How can January go so slow and then this month go so fast?  Seriously, January lasted for-ev-er and this month is flying by!  I can't belelive V-day is next week, I need to get cracking on more Valentine's, including 13 or so for Ian's class!  Yikes!

And I've been meaning to stamp and blog but it's just not been happening.  I'm not quite sure WHAT I've been doing...that ever happen to you?  LOL!  I DID get a hydrafacial yesterday which was kind of amazing!  It was my early birthday present to myself, lol!  My skin has not been looking good the past month or so.  It looks great and feels amazing now.  I'd love to get them regularly but I'd probably rather buy more stamps instead ;-)  I did get some ridiculously expensive Vitamin C serum (wasn't aware that it was quite that pricey but I really liked it and she said it will help me so....) too.  Now I need a new moisturizer.  They changed the one I've used for 20+ years.  Don't you HATE that????  Anyway, onto the stamping!

I did make this at the tail end of Ian's nap the other day.  I just can't get enough of the color combo of melon mambo, lemon lime twist, and tranquil tide!  I used sponge daubers to ink up the stamp.  I stamped the background hearts by stamping off once.   You may have to enlarge the picture to see them, they are really faint, which I like!  They didn't photograph well.  The pink heart was stamped and then I used a blender pen to pull the ink into the little circles and fill them in.  It looked too stark "naked" ;-)  And the final touch was a few of the new gold chunky glitter flakes.  A drop with the fine tip glue pen works well to adhere them.
