Hi stampers! I thought I'd show you the ONE swap I made for OnStage. I don't really swap for a number of reasons (I don't need them, I don't like carrying them around, I don't like stressing about making them...the list goes on ha). But, one of my favorite stampers and people asked if I'd have a card for him and I couldn't say no!
Brian is just the best so I made him this card that pretty much sums up how I feel about my friend (or all of my friends)! And he's rocking his business to boot!
My diamond is really sparkly in real life with Wink of Stella. I used a couple of thin layers so the ink didn't run after I colored it with my Blends (pool party).
Hi stampers! I'll have exciting OnStage stuff to share soon and sneak peek at the end of this post BUT I wanted to let you in on the big news of of the Stamparatus! It's our new stamp placement tool and I'm pretty excited! So excited that I made two posts in one day ;-)
Watch this video for more information. Carrie does a better job explaining it than I can :-) But basically, this is a way more awesome version of the Stamp A Majig. It will be great for when your PP stamps are being a pain and maybe not inking super well, too! It has a lot of cool features so make sure to watch!
You can preorder yours on Thursday, the 15th. This is going to work a little different than normal and what will happen is you will reserve yours with a credit card and then you won't be charged until they are ready to ship which should be around February 1. This way, they know how many they need and we can avoid back orders! The price is $49 and you can earn SAB rewards with your order. You''ll only need to go back in and add something to your order (if you chose, to make the $50 for SAB) then finalize it and it will shipped to you! If you have questions, let me know! I did a Facebook live video to try to explain it so you can always hop over there to watch as well. And don't worry if you can't order just yet, there will be two more windows in December and January where you can reserve yours as well.
Now, make sure to let me know if you need an Occasions and SAB catalog as well! I'll be getting those out soon!
I was honored to be a display stamper for the event last week and I'll be sharing my projects soon! I will continue to focus on Christmas projects and other current items as well though! I'll leave you with a sneak peek of me and my board ;-) I'll post specific details later, I promise!
It's stupid exciting every time I get to do this! And there was so much good stuff from the other stampers! <3 p="">
Again, don't hesitate to ask questions if you have them!
Hi stampers! I'm home from OnStage but I can't share JUST quite yet! I can at 2pm today but I'm writing this while I'm waiting for my ride to the airport and who knows how busy today will be once I'm home...I actually do know and the answer is very :-)
The picture is dark, sorry! I was whipping this up the night before I left so I had to use the kitchen to get a halfway decent picture! Ian had a birthday party to attend on Saturday so I made this up for his friend! Thanks to the talented Jennifer for the inspiration! You can check out her card there!
I colored him with my Blends markers! Quick and easy card!
Now for all the unpacking...and hopefully sharing after 2 ;-)
I will say, I'm going to attempt to focus on Christmas for the rest of the season so I'll just do a few sneak peeks here and there.
Hi stampers! Greetings from the center of the Stampin' Universe, Salt Lake City! We're a day into OnStage and I have so many exciting things to share when I can. For now, how about a Fab Friday Challenge!?!?
This is a hard sketch for me, it's a very un-Mindy (which really, is why I love when challenges) one BUT, I knew exactly what I was going to do! Maybe it's too predictable, I dunno, but I love it!
See, it's a present! Simple and super cute!
Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along!
Hi stampers! I'm blogging from the airport! I've been scrambling to get ready for Salt Lake and I was falling behind so at least I can post while I wait thanks to free wifi! It's going to be odd to see things from the upcoming Occasions catalog while I'm personally getting into the Christmas spirit lol! Such weird timing now!
Anyway because it's that time, here's a cute Christmas card! I had to have the Christmas Happiness stamp set because it's so cute and super easy to make simple cards!
I love how the lights kind of glow with this set! My pinecone is quickly fussy cut and I stamped off once for the base.
Ok safe travels to anyone headed to the Mother Land today! And I'll try to post updates when I can but I don't have wifi in my room and we can't share much until after the weekend.
Hi stampers! HOW in the world is it November already? The holidays and last few months of the year go so darn fast! And, just in time for your holiday crafting, the Artisan Design Team is showcasing the BRAND NEW Stampin' Blends Markers. Stampin’ Up!’s premier alcohol markers, Stampin’ Blends are high-quality, dual-tip markers that come in 12 of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive colors, each with a light and dark shade. Maybe you don’t think of yourself as an artist, but you don’t need to be because these markers make it super easy to blend colors and create gorgeous works of art! I shared a little bit about these yesterday as well, so check out those tips and tricks after you hop!
I have a few cards to share. The first one is actually the second card I made because I totally forgot we were supposed to showcase a couple of specific colors (Night of Navy and Pink Pirouette). Thankfully, I remembered right after I finished it. So, I'll get to that in a minute but here's my re-do.
The Ready For Christmas bundle creates such a fun little scene and it was so fun to color all the little accents. I designed this with the wreath as my main inspiration! I wanted a staircase with a wreath and it's so cute! And now who says blue and pink can't be Christmas colors? This would be perfect for a family with two boys and a girl ;-) For my staircase, I really wanted to add some texture, so instead of stamping it, I embossed kraft paper (from the Merry Little Christmas Cardstock Pack) and then cut it out and sponged ink all over it. I also VERY CAREFULLY colored some of our rhinestones pink. SU doesn't really recommend this because it can ruin the tip of your marker but I'm a rebel like that and was VERY careful! Did I mention that? :-) For my next card, I borrowed an idea from fellow DT member, Holly (thanks girl)! She made a stunning lantern card where the lanterns looked like they were glowing and I loved it! We were sent the Color Me Happy stamp set and Color Me Happy Project Kit so I broke into it and used a couple of parts of it here. I thought a new years card with the little Chinese lanterns would be cute and quite appropriate, no? The lanterns are fun to color and watch come to life! Don't they really look like they glow? I added some of the gold tape and a fun little tassle from the kit. And don't forget about Teeny Tiny Wishes for that sentiment! I have been reaching for that set a lot lately! It's an oldie but a goodie!
Who knew pink and blue made such good holiday cards!
And finally, here is my original card in more traditional holiday colors. Isn't this bundle just the cutest?
And there you have it! This girl who used to HATE to color and be pretty crappy at it (lol) is now an artist (said all French-like)! Order yours today and let your inner artist out! Now, take a trip on over to the Netherlands and visit Miriam! She's sure to knock your socks off!
Hi stampers! Happy November! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! If you want another treat, you're in luck! The Stampin' Blends markers are available today!
If you haven't heard about them, they are pretty awesome! I'm not great at coloring nor do I enjoy it or find it relaxing like some people, but these markers may change that (well not the relaxing part lol). They really do make blending and coloring super easy. They come in a darker shade and a lighter shade. I like that there's only two, it makes it super simple for me! They do take a bit of practice but once you start you'll want to keep going! I do have a few tips:
Use our Momento Tuxedo Black ink only and allow it to dry for a bit before coloring. Other inks will not work.
Use a light touch. They lay down ink well and easily. You can always add more but can't take it away (we do have a color lifter but it more pushes the ink around than really lifting it).
Use whisper white or thick whisper white cardstock. Also, protect your work surface with scratch paper as alcohol markers do and will bleed through. Do not use watercolor paper.
Don't get too close to the lines. The ink tends to spread a little bit so be careful around the edges as it may seep over if you get too close.
Don't worry about staring with dark or light. Do what you feel and experiment. You'll figure out how you like to do it. Practice, practice, practice!
Work in small sections at a time so the ink is still wet when you blend it. And don't be afraid to blend different colors, not just the two shades.
Make sure to replace the caps each time you switch markers as it's alcohol so it will evaporate fast.
Don't drop your markers (see below lol) ;-)
Don't zoom in too close or you'll see the place I dropped my marker, lol! But she was so cute, I had to use her! I had NO desire for this set until I knew these markers were coming out and then I had to get it!
I did a Facebook live on them the other day so make sure to check that out on my page if you haven't. FYI, it's not my best video lol! ;-)
And if I can color with these babies, you can too!
