Hi stampers! So today is a BIG day! First, I stamped last night and made TWO cards! That's a big deal as of late (and even the last 6-9 months) since you all know my mojo has been nearly non-exitsent and then with the move it was difficult. But, I've been feeling inspired and my room is mainly set up and finally very functional! I highly enjoyed stamping in it last night even if it was a bit odd since things were't in their "old"places, ha! I have some finishing touches and a lot of stuff to sort through and store and sell but I can stamp in there! Here's a preview when we set up the big stuff (MANY thanks to my mom, step-dad and hubby for getting it to this point!). And there's a funny story about one of those little Ikea carts that I'll share some day as well. I'll do a tour once it's all finished!
It's also quite astonishing that not only did I stamp but I did a challenge which I haven't done in a long time....or at least a current one and I'm getting it posted before it ends, lol! For some reason the sketch at The Paper Players just spoke to me! And I knew I wanted to use starburst sayings as I've had ideas for it for a while and it's not seen much ink!
And I really, really love how it turned out! Which doesn't happen a lot recently :-) The wooden accents are actually dyed with so saffron ink. I took a solid circle stamp from another set, inked it up and stamped it over them a few times each. It was the least messy idea I could come up with and it worked pretty well!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Starburst sayings
Paper: Very vanilla, tangerine tango, so saffron, coastal cabana, retro fresh DSP
Ink: Soft suede, so saffron
Accessories: Starburst framelits, chevron punch, brights candy dots, essentials wooden elements
I'm also excited because my Project Life pre-order is supposed to be delivered today! I'm interested to see what time UPS delivers here as it was always late afternoon back home. Fed ex dropped off something the other day before I even left for the gym so I have high hopes :-) Now, they left my package at the garage so I almost backed over it!!!!!! If they do that with my stamps I'd be highly distraught!!!!!!!! Anyway, I'd get to work and share some samples with you but that's not going to happen.........because.........
I'll be hanging out with a bunch of other SU peeps drooling over the NEW CATALOG!!!! SU is doing something new and having a catalog premier party at movie theaters all over the country and live streaming the reveal of the new catalog! I'm so excited! Partly just to have something other than unpacking to do and something to go do with people from the area! And of course I'm excited about the catalog!!!!! I think this is helping to get my mojo flowing again since I'm excited and realizing I need to get my butt in gear and ink up a lot of stuff that didn't get used much if at all!!!!
So, I better get to the gym and work off the Red Robin I'm going to eat meeting a few friends for dinner before!
If you need a catalog please let me know so I can put you on my list when it comes out!
Happy stamping!

Fab Friday 40
Hi stampers! Hey that's a lot of alliteration :-) And greetings from the tundra....aka my basement stamp studio! It's seriously so cold down there and I don't know why.
The finished part of our basement at our old house didn't even have vents (yet the unfinished part did...weird) and it was never that cold! And while I didn't stamp down there it was Jon's office and we watched TV and movies in there and it was never frigid! Anyway, it's cold....and a mess still! I've run out of unpacking steam so to speak AND the movers lost a wheel off of one of my Ikea Alex carts so that's needing fixed and currently right in the middle of everything on it's side since we got the wrong size wheel. So not only is it in the way but I can't unpack anything into it so all that stuffs sitting there too.
BUT I was able to clumsily (as in tripping all over all the stuff in the way lol) get a card done for Fab Friday this week AND manage to make one I actually like!
So, here's the colors for this week:
I'm having a bit of editing trouble again (the size seems to be messed up) so sorry if it's a bit blurry but at least my photos are better now with better lighting in my studio than the apartment! That in itself makes me happy!!!! Also made me happy to put to use some retiring items (the stamp set I'm very sad about, I love it) and the soho subway DSP as well as summer starfruit (which I know some hate but I really love it and will miss it). I really haven't given my stuff enough love this year for either the mini's or the main catalog. But I'm on a mission to fix that I hope! I just may have to do it in a parka!
Now make sure to head over and check out the rest of the inspiration we have for you and play along! We love seeing what you make!

HSS 183
Hi stampers and happy Tuesday! I only wish it were next Tuesday as we close on our house that day! It seems so close but SO far away!!!!! Have I mentioned I can't WAIT to have my stamp room set up???? :-) Hopefully once it gets set up and we get settled I can do more stamping and blogging!
But at least it's time for a new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments! I kind of loved the colors this week!
I tried to take a better photo with some natural light but it still didn't turn out the way I'd have liked...and I had to take it much later than I'd planned thanks to getting side tracked and then spending over an hour on the phone with my momma...and then having to call my dad back when I was done with her...I rarely talk to either one on the phone (texting is my thing) so it figures they would BOTH call at the same time, ha!
And speaking of my dad, this color challenge was perfect for a masculine card which I just happen to need for him as his birthday is Saturday....too bad we'll be busy all weekend with my BIL's weekend! I'm hoping we can at least drop a cupcake by but he didn't even know the plans for his OWN birthday, lol! I did keep it "flat" so I could mail it to him! I don't LOVE the way it turned out as I had something a bit different in mind but it turned out the way it turned out which is ok!
Time to wrap it up and go put my last load of laundry in the stackable apartment dryer since it will take 4 hours to dry it :-)
Make sure to check out the other DT samples and play along with us!!!!
