Hi stampers! Happy Friday! I hope it's a warmer and nicer Friday where you are than it is here. It was 84 out on Monday and now it's only been in the 40's and rainy, ugh! Ian and I are SO ready for spring and summer! But at least I can make springy and summery cards I guess! The color challenge over at Fab Friday is perfect for some cheery cards!
For this card I used the cute little special anniversary set that came in the last My Paper Pumpkin kit! It's pretty simple. You may see quite a few of these open frames from me in the near future as I'm kind of into them at the moment!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: MPP anniversary set
Paper: Whisper white, crumb cake, soft sky
Ink: Basic black, soft sky, lost lagoon, hello honey
Accessories: Lots of labels framelits
Make sure you head on over to Fab Friday to check out everyone else's creations and make sure to play along with us too!
Happy stamping!

Display Samples - Watermelon Wonder
Hi stampers! I'm back with my final batch of display samples or stamples as I've been known to call them! But first I just wanted to say what a huge honor it was to be chosen to do this and work along side some wickedly talented artists! Here we all (I hope all of us) while setting up the boards and a big thanks to Linda Heller for the picture! How amazing do those boards look back there???? Gah!!!!
And here's a shout out to all of the stampers who were at the local events! They may not be in the picture but they created some awesome stuff as well! If you missed it on my previous post, you can find a joint Pinterest board with our samples HERE which includes our international friends!
So, watermelon wonder is our color for the day. I resisted this color for quite a while but earlier this year I started to warm up to it and utilize it more! My first project uses some new DSP from the affectionally yours suite. This paper has kind of soft prints on one side and more bold designs on the other and then two sheets are metallic but we'll get to those later on. Again, this card is a simple sketch but I wanted to make sure most of my projects were easy to reproduce.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Endless thanks
Paper: Whisper white, daffodil delight, night of navy, watermelon wonder, affectionally yours specialty DSP
Ink: Night of navy, watermelon wonder
Accessories: Metallic foil doilies, watermelon wonder 5/8" min striped ribbon
Next up is a little 3D pouch that I created with one of the fun copper metallic prints. I just found a template online and printed it out then traced it on the back of the paper (the foil prints are only one sided) and cut it out. There are TONS of templates if you search google or Pinterest! The doily is actually one of the metallic ones just turned backwards so that the white from the back side shows. You can see how shiny that paper is near the bottom. It's very pretty! This pouch would hold a gift card or maybe a sweet treat ;-)
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Sunburst sayings
Paper: Watermelon wonder, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack, affectionally yours specialty DSP
Ink: Watermelon wonder
Accessories: Foil metallic doilies, linen thread, watermelon wonder 5/8" min striped ribbon
I have one more scrap page for you and I have to apologize for a few reasons here. Sadly, it is the same layout as my other page but I saved these until the last minute and didn't know that my Selphy photo printer only came with ink for FIVE photos initially so I only had two photos printed out and no time to get more ink or get more photos printed. I had planned a 12 x 12 with this layout and at least three pictures but that didn't pan out which may have been a good thing since the boards were REALLY full of amazing projects :-) This page is 8 x 8. And also, I need to apologize for totally spacing out and using the wrong Project Life kit on this project. Somehow I got totally messed up and thought the kit from the Occasions catalog was carrying over when if fact it was not. I'm so sorry! But, you could swap in elements from the one that did so you get the idea I suppose ;-) The letters are from the accessory kit as well as the banners which I cut from cards and the journal card. I hope I'm not fired!!!! But I wanted to show that you can still do traditional scrapbooking with Project Life!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: None!
Paper: Basic black, tempting turquoise, daffodil delight, watermelon wonder
Ink: Daffodil delight
Accessories: Memories in the making project life kit and accessory kit (NOT carrying over from Occasions catalog to the annual catalog, sorry again), sunburst thinlit
And finally my favorite watermelon project. The colors turned out a little bright in this photo but it is watermelon wonder. And this paper is gorgeous! I normally shy away from night of navy but it's so pretty here! This is the other page of specialty paper and has copper accents. I mixed my metallics with the doily which was scary (hehe) but totally worked!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Greatest greetings
Paper: Night of navy, watermelon wonder, affectionally yours specialty DSP
Ink: Watermelon wonder
Accessories: Metallic foil doilies, watermelon wonder 5/8" min striped ribbon
And there you have it! All five groups of my display samples or stamples;-) I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed creating them and sharing them with you! And don't forget to check out the Pinterest board for the display stampers!
And please come back and visit often! I'm going to be trying some new things to try soon and you won't want to miss it!
Happy stamping!

Display Stamples - Delightful Dijon
Hi stampers! I'm back with another group of display samples. Today we're going to focus on delightful dijon. I've heard from many people that they kind of despise this color! I have to say that I rather like it but I also loved summer starfruit, which people also tended to love or HATE ;-)
My first few projects are rather simple. I went simple because while I wanted to create WOW projects each and every time, I also wanted to do some really simple and easy projects that could be quickly and easily duplicated ;-)
So, onto my first card which uses the sitting here stamp set (the one with the porch swing), some super simple coloring with markers and that's pretty much it!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Sitting here
Paper: Very vanilla, tip top taupe, delightful dijon
Ink: Staz on, various markers for coloring
Accessories: None!
Next up is another simple card but I really like it! I used the sunburst and dots from kinda eclectic. I stamped the sunburst on the dijon base and then again on the white circle. It took a minute to line them up but you can do it if you just spin it a bit. I also really like the combination of dijon and black. It's bold without being overwhelming. It was a little plain so I added some rhinestones and they really stepped it up!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Kinda eclectic, sunburst sayings
Paper: Whisper white, basic black, delightful dijon, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Basic black, delightful dijon
Accessories: Basic rhinesones, 5/8" mini striped ribbon
Next up is a scrapbook page. Can I just say how excited I was for the first time doing stamping for SU that I FINALLY had my on kiddo to use pictures of!!!! :-D We went to the park back in November and I knew they would be the perfect photos to use with dijon! I also really like the cute little saying on the acorn as my "title" as I really am nuts about this guy ;-) It's also a great way to make a title...I think a lot of people get stuck on SB pages and thinking about traditional titles....Any sentiment stamp can be your title! My background patterns are with the perpetual birthday calendar stamp as well as the date.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Acorny thank you, perpetual birthday calendar
Paper: Very vanilla, crumb cake, soft suede, delightful dijon
Ink: Delightful dijon, soft suede
Accessories: Metallic foil doilies, linen thread, acorn punch, 5/8" mini striped ribbon, handheld stapler
Finally, this is one of my favorite projects of all. The new in color ribbon is very nice! I just folded it up on itself and used my handheld stapler to hold it. Dijon and daffodil are maybe an unlikely pair but they work nicely together!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Sunburst sayings
Paper: Daffodil delight, delightful dijon, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Versamark, delightful dijon
Accessories: White embossing powder, basic rhinestones, sunburst thinlit, 5/8" mini striped ribbon
That's it for today! Make sure to check back for the final group!
Happy stamping!

Display Stamples - Mint Macaron
Hi stampers! I'm back with my third group of "samples" from on stage. This group was a bit easier for me as I really do like mint macaron and use it a bit more frequently than some of the other colors. This set feels a little more like "me" ;-)
Instead of coloring this guy I opted to paper piece him! Easy and cute!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Love you lots (new hostess)
Paper: Whisper white, crumb cake, mint macaron, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Basic black
Accessories: None!
Next up is a cute little birthday card that combines watermelon and mint, they work well together!
You'll have to excuse me but I can't for the life of me remember what stamp I used to color the cake but the ink blob is stamped and then I stamped the cake over it. The stars are from the perpetual birthday calendar set.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Endless birthday wishes, perpetual birthday calendar
Paper: Whisper white, watermelon wonder, mint macaron, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Basic black, watermelon wonder, mint macaron
Accessories: Metallic foil doilies, 5/8" mini striped ribbon, silver sequin trim
My other two projects are Christmas in April because you know I love Christmas! I kind of love this card and it was a great way to incorporate the ribbon and the in color DSP!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Oh what fun
Paper: Whisper white, soft suede, mint macaron, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack, gold glimmer paper
Ink: Versamark
Accessories: Woodgrain and softly falling EFs, whisper white thick baker's twine, mint macaron 5/8' mini striped ribbon, perfect pines framelits
My final mint project is this Christmas tag. I apologize for the poor quality of the picture, I totally forgot to take a better one of this one before I left but it did look rather cute up on the boards! Too bad I didn't get a chance to take good pictures of those either, lol! But this one uses a lot of accessories!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful pines, oh what fun
Paper: Whisper white, crumb cake, real red, mint macaron, 2015-2017 in colors DSP stack, gold glimmer paper
Ink: Crumb cake, real red, mint macaron
Accessories: Scalloped tag topper punch, lots of labels framelits, perfect pines framelits, whisper white thick baker's twine, mint macaron 5/8" mini striped ribbon, basic pearl rhinestones, linen thread
Ok, that's three of the five colors down! Make sure to check back for the other two. And check out our group Pinterest board to see all of the samples in one place (from around the world too)!
Happy stamping!

Display Stamples - Cucumber Crush
Hi stampers! I'm sharing another group of my samples today. I have to admit that cucumber crush is probably my least favorite or used in color in this group. I don't know exactly what it is, I really love bright colors but this one is just too...bright...or something. BUT, I have to say, I think I've embraced it a little more after being "forced" to use it ;-) But don't be surprised if you still don't see much of it from me ;-) The upcoming green is more my speed!
So, let's begin! The first card is probably my favorite in this group and that shouldn't surprise you since I love christmas. And I love the combo of cucumber, night of navy, and crumb cake! I did quite a bit of sponging to tone the green down just a bit. And gold is the perfect accent!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Holly jolly greetings
Paper: Whisper white, crumb cake, night of navy, cucumber crush, 2015-2017 in colors DSP stack, gold foil sheets, gold glimmer paper
Ink: Crumb cake, night of navy, cucumber crush
Accessories: Softly falling EF, Christmas greetings thinlits
The next three cards are pretty simple, which is kind of a trend on my display cards. I found it really challenging to stamp with only a partial carry over list of accessories so I kept them fairly simple. Of course I've had about 1000 ideas since my flight out to SLC ;-) This card combines the new ribbon with a carry over stamp set and the carry over in color DSP.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Flower flair, endless thanks
Paper: Whisper white, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Basic black, blushing bride, watermelon wonder, cucumber crush
Accessories: Cucumber crush 5/8" mini striped ribbon, pearl basic jewels, flower flair framelits
On this card, I used a new hostess set. The frog was quite perfect for cucumber, no? Again, I went simple. The thick white baker's twine was also a challenge for me so I dyed it green here!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Love you lots, greatest greetings
Paper: Whisper white, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack, watercolor paper
Ink: Black star on, cucumber crush
Accessories: tags & labels framelits, thick white baker's twine, large polka dot EF
And finally, another simple card but I think it's tons of fun! I'm happy to report that the party with cake stamp set and these cute dies are in the new catalog, hip hip hooray!!!!! I especially like the two patterns here. All I did was mount the die cut on the polka dot DSP and it's kind of like a shaker card without all the work! Of course it doesn't shake but it's still cute!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Party with cake
Paper: Basic black, cucumber crush, 2015-2017 in color DSP stack
Ink: Basic black
Accessories: Party pop up thinlits
Ok, that's it for cucumber. I'm working hard to get the rest of my photos edited and posted so stay tuned!
Happy stamping!

Tour of Freaks
Hi stampers! It's time for the Control Freaks blog hop! We go live on Thursday night just to make sure everything is working order so make sure to come back Friday if there are any hiccups!
This month's theme is all about mommies and daddies or at least feminine and masculine cards but with Mother's Day and Father's day quickly approaching I made cards for those so I at least have one of each ready to go;-) You may have come from LeeAnn's blog and her amazing projects, but if you didn't don't worry, we make an endless loop so just keep clicking to see everything!
First up because it's first on the calendar is my Mother's Day card. I actually need three since I have lots of moms (my momma, step mom, and mother in law...whew)! This card was also for the most recent CF sawp we did which was "flat and fabulous" so cards that are easily mailed yet still awesome! I hope everyone like it!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Number of years, and many more
Paper: Whisper white, blushing bride, mint macaron
Ink: Pool party, blushing bride, mint macaron
Accessories: Large numbers framelits, 2.5" circle punch, deco labels framelits, softly falling EF, basic pearls
My other project is a Father's Day card using the going global set since it's the perfect masculine set and to be honest, I've barely used it! It's a pretty simple card but I think it works and simple is always good, right?
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Going global
Paper: Very vanilla, sahara sand, basic black, going places DSP stack
Ink: Basic black, delightful dijon
Accessories: Circle punches, linen thread
Now make sure to head on over to Debbie's blog and her fabulous creations!
Lastly, it was nice to see a few of the Freaks at OnStage ;-)
Happy stamping!

Display Stamples - Tip Top Taupe
Hi stampers! So it's back to reality for me and I had a big diaper mess to clean up this morning to prove it...this kid! LOL! He felt the need to properly welcome me back I guess. He truly has super powers when it comes to what he does in (and out of) his diapers ;-)
Anyway, starting at 2pm today we can FINALLY share information and pictures from OnStage...or convention as I still call it! So, make sure you check my business FB page and Instagram if you're follower! I'll of course be sharing things here too! If you missed some of my posts, I was a display stamper! I don't have pictures of the full boards just yet but I'm working on it. I figured since we were assigned either old or new in colors that I'd do 5 posts, one with each color. And then later this week, I'll post more personal stuff and pictures of people and other fun stuff. Sound like a plan?
So today I'm going to show you my tip top taupe stamples (remember a few years ago I kept calling display samples stamples, lol). For some reason, this color was the hardest for me. Probably because it's kind of a neutral so there are lot of directions I could have taken. So here we go!
I know you want to see new stuff so I'll start with a new set that I got to work with. I have to say, I'm not the best at coloring so what did they send? TWO line art sets, lol! I hope my coloring is acceptable! Feel free to click on any of the pictures to enlarge them. I can't get as close as I'd like with the stand. We actually only make card fronts so I have to stand them up somehow ;-) I edited the others a bit closer but I'm not sure how I like half the stand edited out....Anyway, this set has the swing and then a bunch of stuff you can put on and around it like the kitty. I actually fussy cut everything out including the swing here.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Sitting here (new)
Paper: Very vanilla, tip top taupe
Ink: Stazon, pool party, delightful dijon, watermelon wonder, mint macaron
Accessories: None!
Next up is a new hostess set so you need to host a party to get in on this one! It's totally not my style but I think people may like it ;-) I know a lot of people like hedgehogs and....
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Love you lots (new hostess)
Paper: Whisper white, blushing bride, tip top taupe, watercolor paper, in color DSP
Ink: Stazon, mint macaron, watermelon wonder, tip top taupe
Accessories: Lots of labels framelits, metallic foil doilies, softly falling EF, gold satin ribbon
I watercolored these little guys. And you'll see a lot of gold doilies this week. We all know I like them AND they were one of the few accessories I knew were safe ;-)
Ok, moving onto my third project which I used carry over items plus some pretty new ribbon! The ribbon is in the older set of in colors and it's very pretty! Hardwood looks great with the taupe color! I stamped the wreath on mint macaron and then added the accent stamping with cucumber crush
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Wondrous wreath, greatest greetings, hardwood background
Paper: Very vanilla, blushing bride, cucumber crush tip top taupe
Ink: Stazon, pool party, delightful dijon, watermelon wonder, mint macaron

Happy stamping!
Accessories: Wonderful wreath framelits, basic pearls, linen thread, 5/8" mini striped ribbon
And for my last taupe project which is probably my favorite. It's simple and easy and I really love it. Taupe makes a great fall color! And many of you will be happy to see from my splatters that gorgeous grunge is safe ;-) I'm also happy the acorns are coming back!

Fab Friday 85
Hi stampers! It's Friday and "convention" so I'm coming at ya live from Salt Lake! And it's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!
This week we have a sketch for you.
Here's what I did with it.
Don't forget you can swap out shapes and elements in our sketch like I did with the circle. And I did use a doily because I like them but you don't have to use one, find something else that works!
Not a lot of chit chat since I'm busy busy here BUT I hope you're not too busy to play along with us! We'd love to see what you make! And make sure to check out what the rest of the design team did too!
Happy stamping!

Where I've Been
Hi stampers! I've been quiet again, I know. I stayed at my mom's the week after Easter and of course didn't do the blogging I "said" I'd do :-) And then I was picked as a display stamper for "convention" next week.
So, I've been busy working away at getting everything ready for that and I'm so NOT done! Mum's the word around here and it will probably continue to be that way for a week or two while I finish my projects, pack, and generally get ready! My mom is in the doghouse now as she had said she would come home with me this week and take care of Ian so I could focus on stamping and then somewhere along the way wires were crossed and she didn't come even though it was HER idea to begin with, lol! Granny is in trouble ;-)
And then we can't share a lot at On Stage until the Monday following so that everyone in different countries gets equal chance to have things revealed. That kind of bums me out as I love sharing new and exciting stuff with you all!
Anyway, I had to take a break the other night from the display samples and just stamp for fun. My brain was fried and I needed to switch gears for a bit. I didn't get much done but I did stamp this pretty little thing.
The silver thread is hard to see as is the splatters of daffodil delight ink but they are there. I flicked it on with my watercolor pen.
And now I'm back to the grind and getting more stamples done (remember when I kept calling them that last time, lol). Hopefully I'll be able to share them with you in a few weeks!
