HSS 179

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week is a color challenge!

I've still been struggling with my creativity lately so I took this one pretty clean and simple.  I actually used a design I've used in the past as I thought the colors would work really well with it.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white
Ink:  Smokey slate, rose red, midnight muse
Accessories:  None!

Let's pretend you don't see the little pink shadow up there where apparently I over-inked the flower stamp, whoops!  Don't you hate it when that happens?  But I left it, it makes the card truly homemade, right?  And looking back I probably should have stamped off the smokey slate and thens stamped but hindsight is 20/20! I like how bright the rose red is against the gray and with the deep blue!

Now, head on over to HSS and check out all the samples and play along with us!

Happy stamping!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hi stampers and happy World Card Making Day!  Make sure to make a card today and send it to someone!  Everyone loves some happy mail so I'm deeming Monday World Card Sending Day :-)  Here at my house instead of cards we'll be making Halloween banners and hopefully I'll be making some cards after my class.  Hopefully because I'm exhausted.  The dog didn't let me get much sleep while I was at my mom's the other night and then I guess I got used to sleeping alone because the Mr. has been in Budapest all week.  I knew it wouldn't be a good night when I went to bed and found him all the way over on my side, ha!!!!

Anyway, I should have planned better and had a card class today but I guess I forgot about WCMD!  Don't forget you can get my exclusive class for FREE online by purchasing the supplies through my online store!

You can find the details HERE!

And now for a LOT MORE stuff!  In honor of the "holiday" I'm going into blogging/sharing overdrive because who doesn't love to look at pretty stuff, right?  And because I'm home and it doesn't take 10 minutes to upload each picture like at the farm, hooray!  First up is a card with one of my all-time favorite sketches!  I think maybe it was a retrosketch but I can't remember.  I'm sure it will look familiar...I use it a lot!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh hello
Paper:  Very vanilla, pear pizzazz, afternoon picnic DSP
Ink:  Perfect plum
Accessories:  Subtles candy dots, pear pizzazz taffeta ribbon, very vintage designer buttons, linen thread

I feel a fall version coming on soon ;-)

Next, how about some happy?  I LOVE this stamp as you know and I pretty much love everything about this card!  It's a great way to use the acetate sheet from the DSP too!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Yippie skippie, mosaic madness
Paper:  Whisper white, bermuda bay, summer starfruit, strawberry slush, quatrefancy, in color 2013-2015 DSP stack
Ink:  Bermuda bay, strawberry slush
Accessories:  Chalk talk framelits, large rhinestones, bright candy dots

And now, how about a little bonus in the form of another convention display project?  Yes, I still have lots of those left to share!!!  If you're wondering why all of my display cards are on a little easel it's because they are only card fronts and not whole cards so they don't stand up :-)

And finally SU released yet another nifty product yesterday and I didn't get to share it with the Fab Friday post and being busy with my mom and going to pick up the world traveler and all!  The new Pop & Place kit is a super quick and easy way to add a handmade touch to all your Christmas gifts!  Even if you're not a cardmaker or scrapbooker you can still get crafty with this kit!

There are a couple of options offered in bundles so make sure to check those out.  You can get everything you need including a clear block and ink spot in the "big kit".  You can get everything separate as well or just the stamp set and tag booklet.  You can find it all in my store HERE!  Make sure it says Mindy Bingamon on the top right hand side, ok? :-)

Here are your options:
134975Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Book$9.95
134623Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set$13.95
135921Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Bundle includes
  • Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Book
  • Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set
$19.95
135290Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Starter Bundle includes
  • Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags Book
  • Christmas Tagables Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Spot
  • Clear Block C

The stamp set is adorable all on it's own!

And so are the die cut pop-out tags (in a cute little book)!

Even if you don't think you're creative or crafty you can make these tags!  Your packages will look so festive!  Not to mention all the other things you could make with this kit!  Watch for a class as well!  Please contact me should you have any questions or like me to put in an order for you!

Ok, I think that's it!  Sorry for the overload but hey, it's a "holiday" right? :-)

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Memorial Day Edition

Hi stampers!  Happy Memorial Day weekend!  A big thanks goes out to all our current and past soldiers and their families including my grandpa Bingamon and a few of my good friends!  I do wish my grandpa would have spoken about the war so we could all learn from his experience but I understand why he chose not to do so.  I appreciate the sacrifices all our soldiers and their families have made every day!

We were able to go to St. Louis this weekend for a little get away and with the CRAZY that this past month has been it was needed and totally fun!  Exhausting....but fun :-)  But now that we are home it's time to stamp...I've got my SB's iced mocha to get me started!  As soon as I show you this card:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh hello
Paper:  Whisper white, sahara sand
Ink:  Sahara sand, pistachio pudding, crisp cantaloupe
Accessories:  Needlepoint border embossing folders

There I go with the SAMJ again....it really doesn't take that long :-)

Don't forget that you can get your hands on those new colors and all the other new catalog items on FRIDAY at noon!!!!  Yay!  It's like Christmas in....May this year!  The countdown is on!  Again, it starts at noon and you can get your stuff by clicking the shop 24/7 button over ----> there!

I hope YOU had a great holiday weekend!

Happy stamping!

Gold on gold

Hi stampers!  So I have a new favorite thing (I know, I know...I have a new favorite every few hours it seems) and it's the brushed gold card stock!  I have passed over this item in the catalog for YEARS!  But after seeing a few ideas with it a while back I decided to get some and wow-weee is it pretty!  It's funny, for years you wouldn't have caught me dead in any gold jewelry but gold is HOT the past few years and now I can't imagine not having any like some of my earrings or my rose gold watch :-)  Funny how we change and how things come and go isn't it?

Anyway, for my card today I thought it would be fun to do some gold embossing on the gold card stock and I have to say it is gorgeous!  It's a really pretty look because the EP is shiny and the cardstock is more matte.  Another reason I love this card stock is because it's matte and not overly sparkly.  It adds just the right touch a project needs!  I actually thought about doing something like this for one of my artisan projects but none of them made the cut....maybe next year ;-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh hello, my paper pumpkin welcome kit
Paper:  Very vanilla, pool party, pool party core'dinations, brushed gold
Ink:  Crumb cake, pool party, versa mark
Accessories:  Oval framelits, honeycomb embossing folder, sanding block, gold EP, flower trim, natural buttons, linen thread, SAB button pack (retired)

It's much prettier is real life!  This is also an old sketch from somewhere....I often get asked how I come up with my designs and I spend a lot of time looking at sketches on Pinterest as well as challenge blogs.  Most of them have a place where you can find past sketches and I really love that feature!  I can browse until I see one that suits my needs or one will just jump out at me!  Don't think you only have to use "current" challenges!

Speaking of artisan....I FINALLY got it all mailed off yesterday morning.  Wish me luck!  I have to admit that for some reason I just wasn't as into it this year...at least not for the past month or so.  I came out of the gate swinging but then lost momentum.  I'm sure there are a few reasons but my creativity has really come and gone in spurts this year.  A big part of it I think was that I had this super cool idea for a rug with the fabric and I'll be darned if SU didn't post the EXACT same thing on their new blog a few months ago.  Took the wind RIGHT out of my saisl!

I have to say though on Friday night as I sat down to do my final tweaks to everything and get my supply lists ready (which took for-ev-er due to technical issues with my new wireless printer...had to call in tech support AKA my hubby, lol) I did get a little more excited about it and a little more enthused about my projects.  And I already have an idea for an entry for next year, lol!  But at least it's done and now the waiting begins :-)

Wish me and all the other people who entered luck!!!! :-)

Happy stamping!

Fab Fri 18

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  I'm very happy it's the weekend...even though I've pretty much just sat around the house since my test on Wednesday, ha!  Maybe I can actually DO some things over the weekend....like finish my Artisan projects and get some laundry done and work out!  I'm feeling quite a bit better this evening and better than I was this morning.  I'm hoping I'll be in tip top shape to teach aerobics Saturday morning, eek!  Anyway, at least I was able to go to work this afternoon and not get stranded at the gas station thinking I was going to pass out :-)

And I got a whole season of Friday Night Lights under my belt while recovering so at least I had some eye candy and feel somewhat accomplished, lol!  I watched the show off and on when it was out but found it On Demand and I really missed out all those years!  It's a good show!!!!

So, I hope you have some time to play at Fab Friday this week.  From what I heard this challenge was...well...quite challenging for a lot of the DT.  But hang on before you blame me...it was suggested by one of them! :-)

I used a card I made last fall as inspiration because I thought the colors worked well!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Soft suede, poetry prints DSP stack
Ink:  Soft suede
Accessories:  Raspberry ripple stitched satin ribbon, linen thread, the new buttons that the name has escaped me and in my invalid condition I'm not traipsing to the craft room to look---LOL!

It felt good to stamp...that's how you know that I feel crummy....I'm off for almost two whole days and I don't stamp!!!!  Anyone else out there like that? :-)  Don't forget to CASE your own cards sometimes if you're stuck for an idea.  YOU are your best inspiration!!!!  And I have to say that I wasn't in love the the DSP stack (I only have it because we got it free at regionals) but I REALLY liked the way this card turned out.  Funny how that happens sometimes!

Now, head on over the Fab Friday site and check out the rest of the cards and play along!

Happy stamping!

Sunday Funday...sort of

Hi stampers!  Sorry for no posts over the weekend but we were at our family farm without internet...for a while.  My handy hubby got the wireless from the "business" to work in the house, yay!  We are both really happy to be able to use the interwebz when we visit now AND for my step dad (and momma) to FINALLY be able to use the lap top we bought him for Christmas as it was intended....only took 6 months, lol!

Of course the whole weekend was nothing but dreary and rainy.  I swear it's been bad weather every time I've gone down there in 2013!  Snow one time and then lots of flooding last time and now flooding again!  Not fun at all when there are 80 acres to play with and we wanted to try out a new running trail in Effingham Saturday morning (and get a good workout in) but that didn't happen...too rainy.  Of course it was ok at dinner time...but I'd rather eat, lol!  And we did get to meet my 12 week old cousin Karsen so it was worth the trip just to get some baby cuddles.

Anyway, I'm home and sort of unpacked...the dog camped out on some of my stuff and she looks too comfy for me to disturb her.  So, I guess I should make it Sunday Funday and get in the stamp room and play!  We'll see if I make it off the couch :-)

I'll do a mailable post a day early I guess.  I whipped up this simple card not too long after the STL regional event.  I liked it so much I decided to add the ribbon.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white, primrose petals
Ink:  Bermuda bay, so saffron, primrose petals
Accessories:  Primrose petals stitched satin ribbon

Wish me luck on the funday :-)

Happy stamping!

More mosaic madness

Hi stampers!  Yep, I'm a woman obsessed.  You all know I've been obsessed with Oh, hello, right? Oh and then there's the paper pumpkin welcome kit stamp...... Well you can add mosaic madness to the list of my fixations!  I can't stop using it!  It's just so fun and modern and who doesn't love a stamp set that not only has a matching embossing folder but a punch too!?!?!

So, here is a really CAS card.  I think a lot of people have a hard time seeing sets like this with lots of pieces and parts for simple cards but it's easy!  Just plop a couple on your card and there ya go!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello, mosaic madness, my paper pumpkin welcome kit
Paper:  Whisper white, crisp cantaloupe
Ink:  Sahara sand, crisp cantaloupe, coastal cabana
Accessories:  Mosaic punch, basic rhinestones

Guess I'm also obsessed with the new in colors!  I really do love them.  They look amazing with so many of our colors and with each other!  This color combo came straight from my scrap pile!  I tend to have a pile of scraps over by my paper cutter and I just throw all my scraps in a big pile (until it gets too big and drives me nuts then I put them away) but a lot of times when I look over I see great color combos!  So, these three colors were sitting together and they looked so pretty!  Don't forget to glance at your scraps if you're in need of a color combo!

Happy stamping!

Beautiful things in an ugly world

Hi stampers.  This post may get rather long so if you don't want all the blah, blah, blah just skip on down to the pretty pictures.  While the events of yesterday may not be on the scale as other "attacks" we've had this one hit me hard I guess because I'm a runner.  I'm just so sad that people can be so evil and ugly.  I saw a guy on the news today that had lost both legs yesterday and as a person who runs and does so much with my two legs (turbo kick anyone) on a daily basis I cannot imagine what that would be like.  I'm so sad for the people who may never get to do something they love again.  I would be devastated if I couldn't do any of those things again or if I couldn't stamp again.   I just don't understand it, at all.   I'm also having a hard time thinking of bringing a baby into a world like this.  It just doesn't seem fair and I worry about our children's future.  I probably would have felt like this on 9/11 if I wasn't in college though so I guess it's probably normal.

But, I'm trying to see the good and the beauty in the world in spite of all the crap, for loss of a better word.  I got some good and exciting news yesterday in the midst of it all.  I got an email notifying me that I was one of the lucky winners picked to be a display stamper by SU!  I felt a little bad about being so happy about something on a sad day but you know what?  That's what those evil people want.  To take our joy away and we shouldn't let them!  And I WILL make beautiful things to brighten the days of the people around me.  You will not win evil!  That's what we stampers do.  We bring beauty and cheer to the world and I'm proud of that fact!  As much as I want a baby this just makes me so sad!

So here's a pretty little card I made the other day.  I hope it brings some beauty and cheer to your day!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Paper pumpkin welcome kit, Oh hello
Paper:  Confetti white
Ink:  Crumb cake, pool party, island indigo, calypso coral, tea for two DSP
Accessories:  circle and scallop circle punch, pool party ruffled ribbon, needlepoint border embossing folders

And I'm excited to register for convention this morning!  I got my times all mixed up and thought it was at 9 my time so I took off from my turbo class...it's at 11 my time, whoops!  So I better get my workout in.  I'm thinking about running but I'm not sure I can do it today without being a blubbery mess....so if you're local and you see a runner going down the sidewalk crying....that's me :-/  Maybe a bike ride would be best....

Happy stamping!

HSS 157

Hi stampers and happy Tuesday!  I'm glad to see some of you took advantage of the free shipping deal over the weekend;-)  Have fun playing with your new stuff!  Maybe you can use some of it for the next challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

This week it's a bright and fun and summery color challenge!

Don't forget about the little color refresh we are going to have as well.  I'm happy to see island indigo stick around for a while longer!

My card is pretty simple but with those bright colors simple works :-)
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh hello, clockworks, MPP welcome kit
Paper:  Whisper white, island indigo
Ink:  Daffodil delight, island indigo, lucky limeade
Accessories:  None

After attending the St. Louis regional event a few weeks ago I had to get the clockworks set.  I'm easy...I know:-)  But we used it for our make and takes I really like the two little design/flourish stamps in it.  They kind of remind me of extreme elements which was one of my favorites!  Most of the stamping here is stamped off...everything but the sentiment.  I used a sponge to ink up the chevron stamp so it would have a soft look.  And I kind of went a little crazy with the splatter stamp...but once I started I couldn't stop, lol!

Obsessed

Hi stampers!  Ok, I have a confession!  I'm sort of obsessed with a few things:

1 - The "hey there friend" and splatter stamp from the March My Paper Pumpkin kit!  I LOVE them and can't stop using them on everything...the dog better look out, lol!

2 - The Oh, Hello stamp set.  I seriously can't seem to use any other set the last few days!

3 - The natural ribbon from the spring catalog that looks like burplap.  I mentioned on my FB page the other day that I can't believe I waited so long to get it.  I shied away because while I love burlap it's scratchy and smells funny (lol) but this ribbon is super soft and I LURVE it!

So all these obsessions are leading me to making basically the SAME card over and over, lol!  But as long as I like them I guess that's not so bad, right?  Here's a couple:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps: March 2013 my paper pumpkin
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, island indigo, tea for two DSP
Ink:  Crumb cake, so saffron, island indigo, calypso coral
Accessories:  Flower trim, basic pearls, lace tape, calypso coral and island indigo ruffled ribbon, natural trim, ovals framelits

Ack!  I just love that chevron with that stamp!  I did stamp off once with the coral ink so it's a bit softer.  And you see my nice little flowers?  I colored them with our inks and a dauber.  The lace tape is a bit stark I thought after the fact but I guess it's ok.  I finally broke down and bought some of that too....
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  March 2013 my paper pumpkin, oh hello
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, sunshine and sprinkles DSP
Ink:  Crumb cake, daffodil delight, calypso coral, island indigo
Accessories:  Pop-up posies kit, ovals framelits, naturals trim

See my pretty little yellow brad?  I colored one of the white ones from the posies kit so it would match. It was easy with a sponge and some ink!  Also, see how my chevron oval looks a little distressed?  It's because I inked it with a sponge and then stamped off a bit for a softer look.

There are more but I'll save them for another day:-)  Tomorrow's Fab Friday post may look oddly similar too, lol!  I don't want to call it a rut because I'm really enjoying using these things and the finished products but does anyone else do this sometimes?  Get kind of stuck on using certain things and making versions of one project???

Happy stamping!

HSS 156

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  It's a great clean and simple sketch this week which of course we all know I love!

I kept it pretty straightforward.  I also couldn't resist using the now retired (super sad face here) sycamore street DSP.  I think it may be my all time favorite DSP EVER!  You may see it around here now and then :-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Very vanilla, sahara sand, so saffron, sycamore street DSP (retired SAB)
Ink:  Sahara sand, so saffron, calypso coral
Accessories:  Labels collection and oval framelits, honeycomb embossing folder

I was inspired at regionals to use the oh, hello set.  They used the flower a lot by stamping it full strength and then stamping again without re-inking.  It looks really great that way!  I'm also loving the ovals framelits!  I haven't used ovals much in my stamping but I'm really liking the shape for spring!

Now make sure to go check out the rest of the design team submissions and play along with us!  We'd love to see what you come up with!

Happy stamping!

Display Stamper Audition

...application...try out?  Hi stampers!  So Stampin' Up is looking for display stampers for future events!  How fun!  Of course I have to audition or apply or try out...what to call it?  Hehe!  This has been a good warm up for the Artisan contest of as well.  We have to submit 3 cards, 2 3-D items and a scrap page....so here are my entries (warning...this is kind of long)!

This little box was inspired by the one in the catalog but I wanted to take it a little further.  So, I used the yummy pool party embossing powder to dress up the bottom of the box a little (I can't tell you how much I love that stuff).  I also jazzed up the flower a bit by poking the brad through not only the pool party flower but one of the little flower trim flowers as well.  I think it's so cute!  I also added a little ribbon leaf.  It's such a cute little box and really didn't take 5 minutes to put together even with the embossing with a little help from my SAMJ!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Madison Avenue (SAB)
Paper:  Crumb cake
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories:  Gumball green stitched satin ribbon, pool party embossing powder, flower trim, 2011-2013 in color polka dot brads, pop-up posies kit, fancy favor die

For my second 3-D item I have another flower item but it's spring or at least it's supposed to be even if it doesn't feel it weather wise and spring means flowers!  And flowers make me think of my momma so I made her a fabric brooch for Mother's Day.  The more amore fabric was perfect because her favorite colors are red and blue.  The silicone craft mat made this so easy to put together with a little hot glue!
Stampin' Supplies:
Accessories:  More amore designer fabric, sycamore street ribbon & button pack (SAB), large basic pearls, gumball green stitched satin ribbon, fun flowers die

I'm kind of on a roll with the pop up posies kit!  It's probably one of my favorite items in the mini catalog and maybe one of my top picks of all time!  It's just so fun and cute and can be used in so many more ways than just some tags!  So, I decided I'd try to use parts of it on most of my projects.

As soon as I saw the little "cupcake liner" flowers I immediately thought of one of my all time favorite flowers...the daffodil.  So of course I had to make my own daffodil.  It makes the perfect Easter card!
Stampin" Supplies:
Stamps:  Teeny tiny wishes
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, daffodil delight, tea for two DSP
Ink:  Daffodil delight, calypso coral
Accessories:  Honeycomb embossing folder, pop-up posies kit, linen thread, lucky limeade ruffled ribbon

I love this next card and the bottle caps!  They are so fun to smash in the big shot and then pop something fun into the middle!  I also love the little pennant stamp from collage curios and thought it would work great with the patio party paper!  My sentiment is actually from the bitty banners stamp set.  I just carefully inked it as to not get the banner border which I didn't want.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Collage curios, itty bitty banners
Paper:  Whisper white, baja breeze, midnight muse, summer starfruit, patio party DSP
Ink:  Baja breeze, midnight muse, summer starfruit, primrose petals (markers)
Accessories:  Soda pop tops, 1" circle punch, 1-3/4" scalloped circle punch, argyle embossing folder, primrose petals stitched satin ribbon, apothecary accents framelits, basic rhinestones

For my final card I wanted to do something more clean and simple...and of course use something else from the pop-up posies kit, ha!  I found the oval famelits work PERFECT in the kraft colored labels!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Feel goods, Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white, calypso coral
Ink:  So saffron, calypso coral, island indigo
Accessories:  Oval framelits, pop-up posies kit, vintage faceted designer buttons, linen thread

And finally we have my scrap page.  I used the you are my sunshine single stamp since my photo was of my and my hubby at a beach on our honeymoon!  The page is a BIT bright so I used a black and white photo as to not be TOO overwhelming:-)  The Oh, whale stamp set added some nice little waves!  I also added some glimmer paper to my sun rays and really liked the way it turned out! So sunny!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Sunshine (single stamp), Oh, whale
Paper:  Whisper white, daffodil delight, pool party, island indigo, summer smooches DSP, floral district DSP. brights DSP stack, champaign glimmer paper
Ink:  Daffodil delight, pool party, island indigo (ink and markers)
Accessories:  labels collection framelits

Whew!  Ok, I think that's it!  Thanks for sticking with me and wish me good luck:-)

Happy stamping!

Oh, hello...yet again

Hi stampers!  I haven't posted since Monday!  Whoops, how did that happen?  Guess it's been because we got our house on the market and had two showings yesterday so there was lots of getting ready, lol! Now, just cross your fingers and toes for us that those people liked the house!  We haven't heard anything from them yet but maybe they are like us and need to think things over:-)  It would be awesome if our house would sell quickly and we could get the new construction home we love!!!  Eek!

I did manage to stamp quite a bit this week though in favor of blogging :-)  So I should have things to share....I think....I might save some of them for an upcoming contest though.  SU is having "tryouts" to be a display stamper for their events and I'm going to enter.  It's kind of like a mini Artisan contest (which I'm still working on too) but the fun part is that I get to enter on my blog so you'll get to see all my creations without having to wait for-ev-er!!!!  :-)

Anyway, here's a card I made a while back for a Freshly Made Sketches challenge that I didn't get around to entering.  I really liked the sketch!  And this one even made it in the mail yesterday along with a stamp set for a special friend;-)
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, calypso coral, tea for two DSP
Ink:  So saffron, island indigo
Accessories:  In color polka dot brads, oval framelits, small scallop circle punch, needle point embossing folders

It's pretty simple.  And springy!  Where is spring????  I hope it arrives this weekend.  It's supposed to be 50-some here and I WILL run outside on Sunday!  I can't wait!  And the rest of the time I'm going to STAMP!!!! Too bad we have to lose an hour on Sunday! :-)

Happy stamping!

Oh, Hello...Monday

Hi stampers!  It's Monday again....yayness, right?  LOL!  Where did the weekend go again?  Oh that's right....teaching aerobics, lunch with friends, a baby shower and dinner on Saturday then church, lunch with family (and yes, we went to Panera both times, lol), cleaning up the house some and looking at some houses to buy.  Kinda makes me tired to think about it all, lol!  So, I didn't get much if any stamping done.  Both nights when I sat down to start to make something I just didn't feel like it.  I have absolutely nothing (as of yet anyway) on the calendar next weekend so maybe I can really dig in then!

And last night I really couldn't get into it because we found another house we are interested in:-)  So, I was busy thinking/freaking out about that, lol!  Something cool is that it's brand new but we don't know that we'll have that much wiggle room with the price though because of that fact.  And as it stands now, my craft room doesn't exist...it will have to be in the basement and Jon will have to finish that first.  THAT creeps me out, lol!  WHERE will all my stuff go and HOW will I use it until then?  I think that's freaking me out as much as the payments, hahahahaha!  Anyone else ever feel like that?  It's only the second house that we've both loved immediately upon walking in....all the rest Jon loves and I hate, lol!  So, cross your fingers for us (and my craft room, lol)!

So, I'll share something I did last week or so.  It's pretty simple:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, tea for two DSP
Ink:  Crumb cake, calypso coral
Accessories:  Itty bitty butterfly punch, basic pearls, flower trim, frames embossing folders

It's simple...that's about all my brain can do right now, ha!  Hope everyone has a good week...and you don't get too much snow!  Shouldn't we be past all that white stuff by now???

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Oh, Hello Stamp-a-ma-jig

Hi stampers!  This mailable Monday post is brought to you by the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!  Now, me and the SAMJ don't really get along too well.  And it's not because it's hard to use because it's not...I guess I should do a video on it, huh?  But really...if I'm being honest...I'm just too lazy to bother with it , lol!!!  Honestly, I only dig it out if I want something to be spot on perfect.  But I have to say it's going to be needed with the Oh, Hello set!  It's not easy to line up these little chevron (or whatever shape it's called) pieces, without the SAMJ that is!

Who wouldn't love a fun, bright, and cheery card just to say "Oh, hello"????  Seriously!  I really love this set too because it makes super cute busy and shabby chic cards and it makes super cute clean and simple cards like this!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white
Ink:  So saffron, pretty in pink, calypso coral, lucky limeade, island indigo
Accessories:  Needlepoint borders embossing folders

I was really itching to get ahold of those borders embossing folders too, aren't they cute?  The colors were pulled from the tea for two DSP.  If you need a color combo, that's an easy way to go:-)  This card was super simple and quick even with the SAMJ!  I'm going to have to pull it out more often!  I'll try to shoot a video using it soon...I tried today but my camera shut off in the middle....grrrrr!

Happy Monday and happy stamping!

Fab Friday 11

Hi stampers and happy Friday!  Who doesn't love Fridays...especially when it's time for a new Fab Friday challenge!  Um, and just HOW can it be February already????  Geesh!  We have a super fun sketch for you today which can be interpreted many ways!  I actually used some different shapes in my card so don't be afraid to mix it up!  You can always substitute any shape you want in our sketches!  Seriously!  We won't yell at you:-)  We encourage it!!!!

So, I'm playing more with my new goodies and thought it was about time I used the Tea for Two suite which I LURVE!!!!!  It's so sweet and pretty and frilly and I sort of LOVE it!   And it worked great for this sketch!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Oh, hello
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, DSP
Ink:  Crumb cake, so saffron, pool party, calypso coral
Accessories:  Ovals framelits, honeycomb embossing folder, basic pearls, doilies, distressing tool

Sorry the picture is blurry.  It was dark by the time I went to edit it so I'll try to come back this weekend and take another! Instead of some scallops at the top of my oval I used a quarter of a doily!  I thought I was a genius for a second, lol!  Don't you love when you come up with a fun idea and feel clever:-)  I also used my distressing tool on the oval and DSP but it doesn't show up in the picture well.

Now, make sure you check out all the other fab design team projects and then play along!!!

Happy stamping!
