Fab Friday 199

Hi stampers!  Happy Fri-yay!  I'm serious when I say Friday has taken on a whole other meaning during this pandemic and virtual schooling!  There is nothing like Friday afternoon!  Anyway, I did manage to stamp a card for the new Fab Friday challenge in between lessons!

And here's my card!

The Peace & Joy Bundle is so fun!  Paired with some DSP and the Sprig Punch made a fun and easy card!

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along with us.  We love seeing what you make!

Fab Fri 198

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  The weeks are flying by as I try to stamp in between virtual kindergarten lessons.  LOL!

We have a new challenge for you over at Fab Friday!  Let's check it out!

I sort of adore these colors together.  I don't use Gray Granite much but I should start!  And Misty Moonlight is quickly becoming a favorite color!  I've been itching to use Peaceful Nativity so I pulled it out.

My card doesn't look exactly like what I envisioned but I still like it!  I hope you like these colors and will play along with us!

Happy stamping!

Fab Fri 197

Hi stampers!  I guess I only post on Fab Friday days now :-)  That's 2020 for you, right?  We have started virtual kindergarten here so getting anything else done now is a struggle!  I mean, I wasn't good at blogging before all of this, LOL!

I do ask as you're reading, to pause for a minute to honor the victims of 9/11.  It's a day we will never forget.  It is also my sweet Grandma's birthday and I always hoped that having such a sweet lady born on that day helped to cancel out at least a tiny bit of the sadness.  She was a truly special lady!

Moving on, here is the challenge for this round!

And here's my card!

I used the stamp set in the Joy Of Sharing Card Kit from the Holiday Catalog.  Don't forget to use your kit sets outside of the kit!  And my label was made using the Ornate Frames Dies which were from a Halloween bundle last year.  Just because they were for Halloween doesn't mean they don't make great accents for all kinds of other projects.  I'm making a mental note to get them out more often!  Look how great they are!

Make sure to check out everyone else's creations and play along!

Fab Friday 179

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Who's ready for Christmas?  I'm certainly not, lol!  There's never enough time for everything, especially Christmas crafting for me!  I had to make time for Fab Friday at least!  We have a sketch this week!

I took a few liberties on this one and this is what I came up with!

I kind of LOVE this one!  I'll be short on the details in lieu of more Christmas prep lol!  I did do a watercolor wash and then some stamping and splatters.

Make some time in your holiday to play along with us, ok!?

Memories & More....& More

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm back today with another card from the Night Before Christmas Memories & More items!  Yesterday, I shared a rather simple card with you.  Today, I have a more complex card and THIS is what I love about these items!  You can make something very simple and very cute or something more involved like this card!

I threw a lot of stuff on here and I have to say I love the combo with Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler together which I didn't expect!  I added a small strip of the coordinating DSP for contrast.  My trees are fussy cut and I added some of the puff paint for snow!  That stuff is so fun and like magic when it puffs up!  I also really love that wooden element!  So fun!  A couple of snowflake sequins finish it off!  Seriously, so much stuff!  It's still a pretty simple card but I just love it, it's one of my favorites I've made in a while!

Have you tried the Memories & More items yet?  You really should!

You can order them tomorrow!  Spend $50 and you can get FREE shipping!

All the supplies used can be found on my FB group!

Holly Jolly

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I got the tree up last night but not decorated, it's something at least!  I think I need another tree for all our ornaments though, hehe!

On to another Christmas card!  I got the idea for this one from fellow demo Alisa Tilner.  The Stampin' Blends and this bundle were just made for each other as well as the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder!

This guy is just so jolly!  And so fun to color!  Get him while you can!  December if flying by just like he'll do with Rudolph soon!

Supplies can be found in my FB group.

Christmas Gleaming

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday and happy December!  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We went home and got to see our families and some friends and I had my 20th (how did that happen?) class reunion!  I didn't blog or anything and I'm kind of glad I just enjoyed our time away!  But now, I'm full on Christmas mode!  I can't believe there is less than a month to use up all my goodies from the Holiday Catalog, where does the time go?????  And let's not mention the 1000 other things on my to do list!

Anyway, here's a festive card with ornaments since I don't have my tree up yet :-)

I watercolored my ornaments and I think they are gorgeous with the gold embossing!  I also used a few of the Copper Elements and sponged Mint Macaron on the back of them for my greenery.  My gold accent is from the Christmastime Is Here Suite and I wasn't able to link it but that's where it's from.

Updated:  I had a lot of comments and questions about the coloring here so I did a little video.  Hope this is helpful.

Now off to hopefully clean up from unpacking and get the tree up!

Christmas Rose

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm back from Vegas and OnStage and back to the real world, I think! And I'm headache free!  I had a headache most of my time in Vegas, blah!  That's part of the reason I didn't share a lot from the event and my room had terrible cell service and internet!  I'm going to try to play catch up this week!  Also catching up with laundry but that's a whole other thing ;-)

Anyway, I'm sharing a card I FINALLY made with the Christmastime is Here Suite!  It's so gorgeous and the only thing I stamped here is the sentiment!  Talk about easy cards!  That gorgeous image is from the DSP and cut out with the dies!  I adhered it to my card panel and then carefully trimmed the edge off so that it fit onto the base.

Impress your friends and family with pretty cards and virtually no work!

Additionally, get ready for a sale tomorrow! For three days, get select merchandise for a discount during our Online Extravaganza!  Check back tomorrow for more details!

Off to do more laundry!

A Christmas Tree Case

Hi stampers!  Happy Thursday!  I'm getting ready to head to VEGAS for our Onstage event!  Hope to see some of you there!  I'm definitely looking forward to some warmer temperatures!  I'm in full on holiday mode and I can't believe I'm going to get to see the Occasions Catalog!  It all goes so fast!

Speaking of the Holiday Catalog, I HAD to case this card!  It's so simple and I so love it!

I love the Mint Macaron with all of the bolder colors and the accents of gold!  And I always love plaid and polka dots!  You can find the full supply list in my FB group.  I will say I miss the old supply list I used to have available here but I hope to have something like that around one day.  It's just going to take some time.  SU made some adjustments and I adjusted my budget :-)  So hang tight and check out the group in the meantime!

Country Christmas

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm switching gears to a Christmas card today, specifically with snowflakes, because it went from 70+ to 20 some here the last two days.  And it snowed yesterday, in Oklahoma!  It wasn't a lot but there were flurries!

Anyway, I thought this cute Christmas card would be good to share.  I really love this one.  I love the combo of Poppy Parade and Coastal Cabana.  I also love the little touch of gingham with the snowflakes!  It looks a bit country, and I'm not mad about it!

I stamped my background and then spritzed it a bit.  I let it dry mostly before I flicked some ink with my marker so some of it bled a little bit.  I also covered my punched out snowflakes with our Shimmery Crystal Effects which added a fun touch.  A little bit of silver thread finished it off.  The silver is the perfect finishing accent and I tend to not use silver too much and I really should!

You can find the full supply list in my FB group if you need it!

Fab Friday 175

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge at Fab Friday!  Check it out!

And here's my card!

I stamped my background on Shimmery White in Crumb Cake and then spritzed it lightly.  After it was dry I used my marker to flick a little ink as well.    For my candles, I used the Shimmery Crystal Effects and it's really pretty in real life.  You can see it a little better here.

Make sure to check out what the team did and play along with us!

Fancy Friday - Annual Holiday Mixer

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday (or maybe Thursday night depending on when you're reading this)!  It's time to hop with the Fancy Friday team and I actually got my act together this month to do it!  If you're new to the hop, we are a group of current and past Stampin' Up Artisan Design Team Members who like to share our fancy creations with you!

I love this month's theme, Annual Holiday Mixer!  How fun!!!!  The challenge was to combine items from the Holiday Catalog with Items from the Annual Catalog to make a holiday project!  We tend to forget about the Annual Catalog sometimes since the Holiday Catalog is so fabulous but they really go great together!

For my project, I combined the Dashing Deer Stamp Set and Detailed Deer Thinlit Dies with the Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper!  I think they look like they were made to go together!

To get a little fancy, I decided to use both the positive and negative portions of my die cuts.  I think we often forget about the negative space but it makes for cute cards!  I also added as much gold as I possibly could because what's fancier than gold and lots of it???  I also couldn't pass up making my deer into Rudolph with some rhinestones!

For this card, I used the Ornate Frames Dies which are actually in a Halloween suite, to make my tag.  Use those dies all winter long!

This card uses the very thin frame left over from the main panel from my first card.  It framed my deer perfectly!  Gold embossing ups the fancy factor again!

I really had fun being reminded to use holiday items from the Annual Catalog and I hope you will to!

Now it's time to go check out what my fancy friend, Teneale!  You're going to love what she made!

#simplestamping

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Where has this week gone????  I do not have enough (online or in person) shopping days left until Christmas, lol!  It's a good thing Stampin' Up! is on a "simple stamping" kick because that's all the time I have for cards!

At onstage, they really wanted to focus on the three things you need to stamp a card, stamps, paper, and ink.  Sometimes it really can be that simple!  I love making "fancy" cards but I've found that I really like keeping it simple, too!  Simple can be stunning!  Our Notecards make it easy, you don't have to cut them and they are pre-scored to fold!  And they include envelopes.  I went ahead and even stamped the envie for this one! IF THIS lazy stamper can do that, you can too ;-)

Ack!  Isn't it cute!?!?  Can we talk about those cascading stars for a minute?  SO PRETTY!

New to stamping?  All you need is a stamp, pack of notecards, and a few ink pads and you can make these as your Christmas cards!  And even if you're an experienced stamper, take a minute to try some simple stamping!  It was a challenge for me but a lot more fun than I expected!

Tags & Tidings Tuesday

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  I'm getting a late start on this blog post thanks to a sick kid last night. Thankfully he seems fine this morning (starting at like 4 am, lol) but we'll be stuck at home or at least no gym or school for us today.  Maybe I can get some much needed laundry done and maybe some stamping!  Anyway, I am super excited to share my most recent class with you!

On Sunday, I had a few friends over and made a few new friends while making some fun Christmas tags with the Tags & Tidings Bundle!

Everyone was very impressed with the design of this one!  It's one stamp and one die and you can get all of those tags from one pass through the big shot!  SIXTEEN tags at once!  Now, they are super cute all on their own just plain, but for this class I made 12 tags in stepped up versions.

A few of them are direct copies from the tags shown in the catalog and the rest, I designed on my own and it was simple and fun!  If you'd like an individual picture of any of them you can contact me but momma doesn't have time for all that right now ;-)

My colors were Poppy Parade, Mint Macaron,, and Garden Green.  I also threw in a little Crumb Cake.  I pulled a lot of different dies and punches in.   I did want to point out that the leaves in the Warm Wishes tags were sprayed with some Champaign shimmer mist I made and they are gorgeous!

I hope everyone had a great time at the class, I sure did!  And what was even more exciting was our special guest!  Our Midwest South DDM, Chad Williams, came all the way from the home office in Utah to check out the class!  It was also nice to have an extra set of hands to help out!  I appreciated his help so much!  It was so fun I totally forgot to take any pictures of us or the class, DUH!!!! :-)  But, he also arranged a meet and greet for Tulsa demos Sunday night so we snapped a picture there.  Be kind, it was like 9pm and I turn into a pumpkin at around 8 LOL!

It was also really great to meet a few local demos since I didn't know any in the Tulsa area!  I'm hoping we can arrange a few more demo events in the new year!  If you're local to the area, shoot me a message!

Oh, and we also made a bonus card so I'll share that as well.  A version of this one can be found in the catalog but we kept it simple for new stampers!  The amazing thing about this stamp set is that it makes a CUTE background along with the tags!

Isn't that super cute!  A big thanks to Chad once again, and to my friends who came to stamp with me!  I can't wait for the next class!  I made a few bonus projects as my door prize and totally forgot to snap pictures!  I'm going to see if my friend who won them can send me some...stay tuned for that :-)

Happy stamping!

Mailable Monday - Well Not Really

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  What a weekend!  December is always a busy and exciting month but this weekend was particularly exciting!  On Sunday I had a class using the Tags & Tidings Bundle and the Midwest South Demonstrator District Manager, Chad Williams came to my class!  I mean my third class in the last five years?  Yeah, no pressure :-)  Hahaha!  The class was small but mighty and I hope they liked the tags.  I'll be sharing them later this week!

And then last night, we had a little meet and greet for Tulsa area demos which was really nice to meet some new friends in the area!

Now on to today's card.  So it IS simple but it's not mailable due to it's size.  But, this time of year, it's a great little card to throw in a package or gift bag!  It's amazing how many little gifts come up and it's nice to have some options for those!  I'll be making some more of these with our Narrow Notecards!

I don't always decorate my envelopes but these are so cute, I just had to!  And I love the bright colors.  Since this set is photopolymer, it's a breeze to line everything up!

Do yourself a favor and go whip up a few narrow note cards now to have on hand for your holiday giving!

Happy stamping!
