Fab Friday 141

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday.  We went to Jon's parents so that's why it was kind of quiet around here.  We had a very fun and very relaxing time!  Last summer we went but I didn't enjoy their pool much because I'd just broken my foot.  I was able to join in the fun this year!  I should have had plenty of time for blogging, but somehow I just relaxed SO much that I didn't get much done :-)

It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!  This round is a sketch.

Here is what I came up with.  I've been meaning to pull out this set for quite some time and this was the perfect time!  Also, crumb cake, soft suede, petal pink, tranquil tide, and call me clover make a really great color combination.  After I made it, I think I should have done a different color for a deer but that's what's great about this craft, you can do what you want ;-)

My sentiment was selectively stamped and cut from the Another Wonderful Year set.

Foxy Friday

Hi stampers!  I totally forgot that Stampin' Up shared by Instagram tip earlier this week!  It was pretty cool to see it posted!  You should follow them if you don't already!  There's some good stuff and good tips on there!

My tip was using your punches to make a cute little body for your skunk from foxy friends like I used in this card:

Isn't his little body just perfect?  Check out Instagram to see my tip!  I just love this card, it's so sweet and just kind of perfect when you don't have any other wise words this!

And I can't tell you how much I'm going to miss mint macaron.  I haven't been using it much in preparation to say goodbye, ha!  It's such a pretty color!

Stinking Cute Valentine

Hi stampers!  Late post today, sorry!  It's one of those days I suppose.  I've been meaning to make a little skunk valentine for a while now and I finally got around to it.  The pop of pink paper is perfect with the black and white of this little guy or gal!

I hand trimmed his little tail stripe and the heart is from the heart border punch.  Isn't he stinking cute?

Grateful Freaks!

Hi stampers!  How can it be time for a Control Freaks blog hop already?

Wasn't it just September????  Anyway, this month's theme is gratitude and I'm so grateful for all my stamping friends and my little hobby!  Speaking of great stamping friends, you may have just come from Cindy's blog where you saw her awesome projects!  Don't worry if you didn't, we make an endless loop so just keep clicking and you'll get all the way around!

My first project uses acorny thank you, which tends to get overlooked since it's in the main catalog.  I combined it with the sweater DSP because it's awesome and I love cozy sweaters in the fall!  The top of the acorn is also embossed in copper.  I pressed the whole thing into my versa mark pad and then heat set it.

I also made a Thanksgiving card.  I love Thanksgiving!  Who doesn't love family and food????  I recently bought some felt balls to make a garland for November and thought the colors were perfect for a card!  I used cherry cobbler, cajun craze, pumpkin pie, tangerine tango, and delightful dijon.

You may need to click and enlarge this one.  I used an embossed a strip of vanilla CS with the woodland folder so it's tone on tone and hard to see here but it looks cool!  I also totally forgot about Teeny Tiny Wishes still being current, ha!  So after using it for some Halloween cards I kept it out for the sentiment here!

Fab Friday 93

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday.  I know I haven't shared much lately but you know how that goes.  My mom is doing a bit better...I think...and I hope and then my best friend and her little guy came to visit for part of this week and kept me busy!  BUT, since it's Friday I at least have Fab Friday to share with you!  Please pay no mind to the "ugly" sketch but I still don't have any downloads that I like so I'm using some default ones and I no likey.  But whatever, a sketch is a sketch, right? :-)

Can I tell you a secret?  I kind of LOVE the card I made for this one :-)  I love it when that happens!

Isn't it cute?  I mean, you cannot go wrong with that little fox.  I have to admit, I can't remember if I used wild wasabi or old olive but I think it wasabi so that's what we're going with :-)  And I love that new sentiment set!  No one likes to make sympathy cards but the sentiments are just so perfect!

And one more thing, send some happy birthday wishes to my big TWO year old :-)  Ian is two today and I can't believe it and he's pretty much just the most awesome thing ever.  He's funny and serious, sweet and ornery, and wicked smart yet sometimes clueless all at once!  I'll try to share some pics and more updates after the big weekend.

Foxy Baby

Hi stampers!  How is this week almost over already?  The summer goes so fast while cold and dreary seasons drag oooooonnnnnnnn!  Granted, this week was a short one but man, it's gone fast.  I think that's part of the reason I don't stamp sometimes, both during Ian's nap and after he goes to bed, when I stamp the time passes too quickly, lol!  Before I know it, it's time for him to get up or for me to go to bed.   I'm working on it ;-)  Well after I get the laundry caught up from our trip maybe!


Today I have a little baby card to share with you that will be finding it's way to someone very near and dear to Stampin' Up and her new little addition!  I've used this sketch a time or two and it's definitely a good, quick go to!

Look at that!  I made a fox card without even using a stamp from the fox set!  How cute is that DSP? I also love the colors in the DSP.  I feel like this is a gender neutral card even with the pop of calypso coral.
