Fab Friday 172

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday....the 13th.  Eek!  With the full moon and today, things are always a little sideways, lol!  It's been busy over here with the new office space I've gotten and I've worked hard to get it cleaned up (the whole house, construction is so gross and messy) and functional.  Anyway, taking some time to share the new Fab Friday challenge with you!

Here's what I did!  I had to use the gingham DSP in Pretty Peacock because I just love it!  I thought it would pair perfectly with Country Home.  I also thought that would pair with the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint and I wasn't wrong!  We tend to get caught up in the Holiday Catalog but this is a great autumn themed set from the Annual Catalog!

I stamped right on the acetate and then cut out my can.

You can see the puff paint here.  It was fun to use!  I just dabbed a little on each cotton boll and then was careful not to tip my paper while I heated it from the bottom.  It popped up kind of like popcorn! Isn't it fun and perfect for this set????

Make sure to check out what the team did!  I'm out, got a headache and in a weird funk so maybe I'll come back and link supplies later.

Happy stamping!

Pillow Talk

Hi stampers! Before we get started, let's take a moment to remember our country on this dark day.  We will never forget 9/11.   I'll also never forget my sweet, sweet Grandma Bingamon who was born on 9/11.  You'd be hard pressed to meet a better person than her, so I like to think that her being born on this day makes up just a little bit of the ugliness that has tarnished this date!  I miss her every day and I aspire to be like her! <3 p="">
And now onto my project for today.  I don't often do non-card projects but really, I need to!  The great thing about SU is that you can make your own detailed boxes OR you can fancy up a pre-made item like this pillow box!

I plan on putting a gift card for a friend in this one but there are so many fun little things you can tuck into it!  Aren't the polka dots with the kraft color just the best?  I do have a retired product (eek) because I didn't get this shared in time.  But, you could cut out an oval or any other shape to recreate this!  I just cut a belly band from DSP and wrapped it around my pillow box and then glued my label on after it'd punched a couple of holes for the ribbon.  You'll want to glue it down so it doesn't fall off and then tie the bow!  I also finally broke out my corrugated embellishments!

Isn't this just the cutest?

Christmas in September

Hi stampers!  Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone had a good long weekend!  I took some time off from stamping and blogging and just had family time and got some things checked off our to-do list!  BUT, I had to make sure to post today because it's my favorite day of the year!  The day the HOLIDAY catalog goes live!  It's always my most favorite catalog because I LOVE fall, Halloween, and Christmas!

I sent them out to my customers that have ordered in the past 12 months but if you need one, please let me know!

I actually don't have a Christmas card today, shocking, I know ;-)  But I wanted to kick things off with a fall card since it's September and all.  It doesn't feel like fall in Oklahoma and probably won't for a few months (lol) so I'm just going to pretend!  Have you seen this set?  Did it make it onto your radar?  I'm guessing it didn't for a lot of folks but it's SO CUTE!  It's called Making Every Day Bright and while it isn't part of the bundle with the Christmas Bulb Punch, it totally coordinates!  There is an image for just about every occasion!  Just look at this cute feather!

ACK!  Isn't it cute!?!?  I pulled out some fall colors to experiment with Soft Suede, Merry Merlot, Cajun Craze, Fresh Fig, and Tranquil Tide.  They are pretty fabulous together!  The washi tape and that gorgeous ribbon are also from the holiday catalog.  The ribbon is Merry Merlot and copper and gorgeous!  My TINY little sentiment is from another holiday set, Country Home.  Don't forget to scour ALL of our stamp sets for great sentiments!

And don't forget, you can use bonus coupons now if you shopped and earned in August!

If you haven't checked out the Holiday Catalog, do it now!  Hopefully I'll get to stamp some this week since the weekend didn't go as planned.  Hopefully....I'm always thrown off when there's a holiday...what day is it again? :-)

Country Lane

Hi stampers!  It's been quiet around here.  We've been busy with Ian's birthday last week and my parents were here who also always keep me busy :-)  I suppose using the Country Lane suite is appropriate today because Ian went home with Granny and Grandpa to the farm!  I'm ALONE for the first time since we moved to Oklahoma (and longer than that lol)!  I thought I'd get a lot of stamping and blogging done but of course, that's yet to happen...so many things on my to do list lol!  But I had to post today, an IG follower asked to see something from this suite so here it is!

I stamped and colored this as soon as I got my order but the one side is cut off a little so I set it aside but I decided it was too pretty to not use!  It's made for the Blends WHICH....you'll see some new colors from the Holiday Catalog.

I also used the new Galvanized Metallic Paper and it's so cool!  I was a little skeptical since we already have silver but this is so different!  It's shiny yet more matte at the same time and really does look like galvanized metal!  Pair it with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder (say that 10 times fast lol) and it's amazing!  I also dabbed it with a little Copper Shimmer Paint which is new!  We have had it in the past (and I still have mine) but not in this color!  And here's a tip; if your paint daubs on too heavy, just use a paper towel to blend it around a little bit.

I'm trying to limit my DSP purchases because I never use enough of it so I actually didn't get the paper that coordinated with this suite, but it IS so pretty!  Instead, I used some of the Share What You Love DSP.  Don't forget to mix and match in your suites!

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek and I hope I get some time to sit down and create today ;-)

Happy stamping!
