Fab Friday 159

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Fab Friday!  We have a sketch for you today!

I finally remembered to use this embossing folder!  It's so pretty.  I sponged it with some White Craft Ink to really make the design stand out.  For my image, I stamped and then spritzed with water on watercolor paper.  I then splattered it with a marker when it was dry.

I love the sentiment from Part Of My Story.  You only have a few more weeks to get it FREE during Sale A Bration!  Who wouldn't like to get a card and know their friend is thinking of them?

I think the color combo is slightly unexpected for spring but I really like it!  Hope you can join us in the challenge!

Flowering Sunset

Hi stampers!  Long time no talk, no stamp!  I just haven't been able to get it together to do anything stamp wise lately!  And truth be told, I had a headache over the weekend and was just tired so I laid around and I'm not sorry about it :-)

I experimented a little with my background here and I cannot remember how I did it. Does this surprise you?  I know I spritzed it but did I color with ink, colors pencils?  I have no idea lol!  Oh well, if you want to recreate it, just play around!  I mean that's what I did.

I just adore this stamp set.  It's so fabulous!  I'm not going to link all the supplies for this one since I can't remember exactly what I did but I put in the basics.  I want to say these colors are Grapefruit, Melon, and Grape but don't hold me to it ;-)

Bright Cacti

Hi stampers!  I shared on my Instagram today that I'm feeling really unmotivated and uncreative lately.  I hate that but it happens.  I try to take a step back and just ride it out but that makes me feel icky too, since I'm not creating or sharing.   There's no happy medium.  I've been trying to blog this card for a WEEK!  I was blogging pretty consistently at night after Ian went to bed but then I started watching a few more new shows and that fell by the wayside.  I'll have to get better about working on them during the day!

I have to say though, I love TV and I haven't been into many shows the last few years so I'm glad I'm exited about a few of them.  I've always loved TV and I don't feel bad about it :-)  I do plenty of other things so winding down from the day in front of the tube suits me just fine!  But I gotta stamp and blog somewhere :-)  It's such a viscous cycle, not being creative, then feeling bad about not creating and then just repeating that over and over!

Anyway, here's a fun card!

I love the bright colors.  This combo came from my scrap pile!

Hoping this card bring some much needed warmth!  Man, it's March but it's been the coldest it's been here in Oklahoma.  We had some snow the past two days and they cancelled school for the cold.  I'm over it!  I'll be seeing some cacti this spring and I can NOT wait!

Here's hoping I get my life figured out soon, ha!

Cockadoodledoo

Hi stampers! Happy Wednesday!  I guess I have ample time to blog today as my little buddy has a fever and feels puny.  Hopefully we won't add anymore symptoms into the mix.

February AND Sale A Bration are flying by so I figured I'd better get this stamp set inky before it was too late!  My mom grew up on a farm and now lives there although she doesn't have any animals now.  But her very favorite is chickens so I grabbed this one with her in mind!  It was perfect that it had a missing you sentiment because I'm pretty much always missing my momma!  I hope we can live closer to her one day!  They are actually coming to visit today IF the roads are ok.  They got some bad weather overnight.  I'm hoping to surprise Ian so I really hope he feels better this evening!

Anyway, I colored him in with my Blends and I thought that the Wood Textures DSP was a perfect match!    Some copper and lace accents were the finishing touches!

Happy stamping!
