Fab Friday 181

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  This week has NOT gone as planned!  Poor Ian came down with a fever on Saturday night.  Thankfully it was low grade but it lasted over four days and you could tell the poor guy just didn't feel good.  I didn't get much stamping or much of anything done, he needed a lot of cuddles.  He's out of school two days next week for the holiday and conferences so they are letting me send him today when he doesn't normally go on Fridays!  We are both pretty excited about it :-)

I'm also excited I actually have something to share today!  It's time for Fab Friday!  We have a sketch this round.

I had to bust out the Bonanza Buddies for this one, it's just so fun!

This one is for all of my friends down under!  I hope you're all doing ok with all the fires!  I just wanted to say HI and I've been thinking about you!  I love how the washi tape coordinates with this suite so well!  And this little guy just looks like he's waving hi, doesn't he?

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team made and play along with us, this is such a fun sketch!

Fab Friday 176

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Sorry I've been MIA!  It's been a crazy few weeks.  Ian got sick, we went to Illinois, came home for three days and then few to Disneyland and San Diego (Jon had a work event).  We came home just before Halloween and the time change and I just haven't caught up with my life yet :-)  I'm kind of always behind though, ha!

Anyway, I'm hoping to get back into the groove and Fab Friday is helping me out today, forcing me to stamp and share!

It's kind of a fall combo I think.  My apple has blushing bride in it, although you can't see as much of it as I'd like.

I have to laugh and tell you a bit of a funny story!  I went to make this card early Thursday morning (thinking look at me go of course)  because Jon had a medical appointment later in the day that would take most of my time (he's fine).  I stamped an "apple" and used my daubers to color it in and just wasn't happy with it.  I kept looking at it and could NOT figure it out.  It finally dawned on me.... :-)

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and play along!  If you're looking for the supply list, make sure you follow me in my FB group as that's where those live now!

Boo....I'm Back

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It is Tuesday, right?  Ha!  This last week has been crazy.  Ian got a tummy bug and then we went back to Illinois for my mom's birthday and our annual trek to The Great Pumpkin Patch.  We usually go back for about a week but we only stayed three days this time so we packed a lot of fun in a few days!  That makes for a tired mom when there's two 8-hour drives involved!  Then, when we got back, Ian had a field trip so it's just been busy, busy.  Plus, we have another trip coming up that we're trying to get ready for (as in mom is doing everything, haha).  Anyway, I hope to be able to work ahead to have stuff to share with you!  Things didn't go according to plan with Ian getting sick and then my parents got rid of their internet (who does that)!  So anyway....here I am, I hope!

Here's todays card.  It's pretty simple!  I combined Wonderfully Wicked with some of the other Halloween stuff!  Bats and cats ;-)

I'm trying to share all the Halloween things but I gotta say, I'm ready (stamping wise at least) to go full on Christmas mode!  It's my favorite to stamp for.  But, I still have more Halloween goodies leading up to the actual day so stay tuned!

If you're looking for the supplies, you can now find those over on my FB page thanks to the new SU platform!

Father's Day Fail

Hi stampers! I have a card for you today that didn't get delivered!  I made this for my step dad to take to Illinois with me and left it on my desk.  Good thing he knows I love him!

I kept coming back to Rustic Retreat in the catalog because it's versatile, will be great for masculine cards, and it would be perfect for my step dad and his interests!  Anyway, here's his card!

You really should consider adding this one to your stash along with the Buffalo Check Background Stamp!  Oh and my sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

Fancy Cupcake - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's been a long week so I'm excited that it's Friday!  Jon was gone all week so I'm glad he's back even if he is at work 90% of the day, ha!  Anyway, I'm feeling better this week than I have all month, so that's a win, too!  I still can't believe we STILL have one more week of January left though!  It seriously is the longest month EVER!  But at least it's time for some Friday fun with Fancy Friday!

If you're new to our hop, we are group of Stampin'  Up! Demonstrators who either are currently are on the Artisan Design Team or have been and we team up to bring you pretty things to look at now and then! All you need to do is follow the links and see what everyone has to share!

This month's theme is all about our favorite Sale A Bration items!  Don't forget that these are items you can get totally FREE with a $50 order!  It's the best time of the year and like Christmas after Christmas :-)

I may have used two items on my card because they are both my favorites!  I combined the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set with the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets (you actually get Lovely Lipstick foil sheets as well) and it couldn't be cuter!  The colors from the card REALLY reflect in that pretty, holographic paper! <3 p="">

I did a watercolor wash and once it was dry, I stamped my background and also did some splatters.  I pulled out my doilies because try as I may, I can never seem to use them but the fit perfectly right here!  My cupcake is fussy cut but it's a pretty easy image to cut.  I really wanted to make my cupcake fancy so I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to outline the image and then sprinkled it with glitter!

I mean how could this not be your favorite SAB set and how could that paper not be your favorite either?

Now it's time to head on over and see what Jennifer has for you!  She's fabulous and her project is too!

Batty For Plaid

Hi stampers!  So it was quiet around here because we skipped town and went to San Diego to meet my in-laws for a little family vacation and it was awesome!  I tried to be organized and have some posts ready to go, but I was barely really ready to go and packed before we left, ha!  Now it's time for re-entry and man, is it hard!

I keep forgetting that September came and went when we were gone and it's OCTOBER!!!  I have got to pull out my Hocus Pocus t-shirt, I totally forgot it today!  Speaking of Halloween...

Can you place my main panel?  It's not DSP but the Buffalo Check Stamp!  I used a ruler and a marker to make it a bit more plaid and I LOVE it.  If you haven't tried this, you have got to!  A little tip for the background stamp:  Use the Stamparatus to stamp it and you can ink it up a few times to get a really saturated image.  I also turn the platform 360 degrees and press down all around each time.

Off to do a mountain of laundry and continue to figure out what day it is ;-)
