Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday again and you know what that means!  I fun new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week is a technique challenge and I have to say I wasn't thrilled when I first saw it.....

Why?  Well because we don't have kids yet so I didn't have any crayons around the house and I kept forgetting to pick any up-)  BUUUUUT after a quick trip to Walgreens I came home and got to work and ohmygosh is this fun and looks so cool!  I may or may not have had to try it out with ALL my embossing folders once I got going, ha!  Seriously it's so fun!  And that's why I love these challenges!  They push me out of my comfort zone and make me try things I wouldn't normally do!  And now I have a box of crayons (minus the white one...which no one really uses anyway) for if the soon-to-be niece and nephew come over!

You can find a great tutorial HERE if you aren't familiar with it.  Now, while I made a bunch of backgrounds, I chose to do my card with the one I had the original idea for since I need to get a move on the Halloween cards!  As a side note the woodgrain embossing folder looks wicked awesome like this!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Googly ghouls, spooky bingo bits
Paper:  Whisper white, basic black, rich razzleberry
Ink:  Basic black, rich razzleberry, tangerine tango, versamark
Accessories: Circle and scalloped circle punches, basic black polka dot ribbon, spider web embossing folder, googly eyes, crayon, stampin' spritzer, brayer, black embossing powder

Eeek, isn't it cute?:-)  These are seriously some of the most cool backgrounds I've ever made!  One detail you may not be able to see is that I embossed the spider.  He's shiny and cool!

Now head on over and see what the rest of the DT came up with!  And don't forget to play along!

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a fun new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments again this week!

I have to say that I was kind of scared of this challenge when I saw it....

I had a card already started with a bird....just a regular old bird because I didn't have a peacock...and I was sad:(  BUT then I remembered that I ordered fine feathers on June 1 and it had a peacock feather in it!  I LOVED the sample in the catalog for this set and there is just something about it that I had to have it! I was so excited that I came up with this!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Fine feathers, lovely little labels, loving thoughts, parlor prints
Paper:  Very vanilla, soft suede, midnight muse
Ink:  Soft suede, old olive, tempting turquoise, midnight muse
Accessories:  Chantilly crochet trim (retired), little labels punch pack, oval accent bigz die, labels collection framelits, basic rhinestones

Peacock feather colors are so yummy!  I had to google them though to find out which colors went where:-)  I do wish I'd added some more green throughout the brown or at least on the edges...oh well...next time!  I also added a little accent with the new punch pack and cute little stamp set.  Those are so fun and tiny!!!

Now, head on over to HSS and see what everyone else came up with and then play along!  Remember, you can use any old bird if you don't have a peacock!!!  :-)

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday....how did that happen?  Wasn't it just Saturday????  Anyway, it's time for a new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week it's a fun technique challenge!  Emobss resist!

This is one of my faves because it's super easy and looks super cool!

I'm not sure that my card turned out how I pictured it but here it is none the less:
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Forever young, it's your day, parlor prints
Paper:  Whisper white, pool party, wisteria wonder, island indigo, 2011-2013 in color DSP stack
Ink:  Versamark, pool party, wisteria wonder, island indigo, blushing bride, peach parfait, pear pizzazz
Accessories:  Modern label, word window, circle punches, perfect pennants die, white embossing powder, white gel pen, basic pearls

So, I was going for a sunset and that part worked out ok.  I'm just not sure I like the layout.  Oh well...not everything I make turns out looking the way I had it in my head!

Now head on over and see what everyone else came up with and then play along.  You know you can't RESIST:-)  Sorry...I had to...it's late when I'm posting this and I don't feel well...humor me:-)

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers! It's Tuesday and I'm EXCITED!  My copy of the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up Catalog should be here this morning!  I've seen in online but can't wait to page through it in person!  I have a hair appointment today so I'm excited I'll have it to pour over while I wait for my highlights!!! You can get your own copy if you let me know you need one and you can see it online and order from it June 1!!!!

Anyway, since it's Tuesday, it's time for another fun challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!

This week is all about weddings and sophistication!  So pull out your best and show us what you got!  Here's what I came up with:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Love & laughter
Paper:  Whisper white, neutrals DSP stack
Ink:  Basic black, versamark
Accessories:  White embossing powder, neutrals glimmer brads, white taffeta ribbon, blushing bride pleated satin ribbon, basic pearls, itty bitty punch pack

I used my simply scored diagonal plate to make a background....which reminds me of my wedding cake:-)  I had swiss dots alternating this this type of quilted pattern.  Annnnd, now I want some cake...my cake was the best I've ever had and it was orange dreamsicle!!!  Oh wait, we were talking about stamping:-)

For the dress I used emboss resist and then cut it out and added my ribbon to the bottom. I also added a little detail to the waist with the itty bitty punch pack!

Now head on over to the HSS challenge site and see what the rest of the DT came up with and be sophisticated with us!!!

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  And oh boy am I excited that it's Tuesday!  Not only is it a new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments but SU demos got a little sneak peek at the new catalog at 1am my time...and I had a little online party and stayed up to see what's coming!  We don't get to see the catalog just yet but I'll settle for a few tid bits!  Tune in tomorrow and the rest of the week as I have a big box of goodies coming next day air....and the day off work Wednesday to create!  Anyway....I may be still in bed or napping as you read this....I'm too old to stay up that late anymore, lol!

So, on to the FUN challenge this week!  It's time for one of my favorites....a color challenge!  I love color challenges and I {heart} this one!  Just lookie:

I really wanted to make a baby card with these colors but I've made quite a few of those lately...maybe because I want one...a baby that is:-)  Anyway, I forced myself to do something more "out of the box" for these colors than the first thing that came to mind.  I also used a couple of retiring things...my BFF stamp set Best Friends Forever (still sad it's going) and the jumbo brads which of COURSE are retiring since I just got into them recently:-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Button buddies, best friends forever, petite pairs
Paper:  Whisper white, basic gray, regal rose, subtles DSP stack
Ink:  Basic gray, regal rose, pink pirouette, pool party
Accessories:    Circle punches, perfect pennants die, pool party ruffled ribbon, jumbo brads

I did the rock and roll technique with the flower although it's hard to tell.  I inked it up in pink pirouette and then rolled the edges in regal rose.  Makes a pretty flower!  I also love layering the scalloped shapes on the perfect pennants die...I kind of forget about them but with the loss of scalloped circles 2 I think they will get more use!  The larger circle pairs perfect with the large circle punch!

Now head over to HSS and see what everyone else has come up with and then play along!  And check back this week for sneak peeks!!!!!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week is a theme challenge and it's all about spring!

I sort of forgot about spring with the summer like temperatures we were having early on here but spring is here this week! Brrrr!!!  It's been up in the 70's and even 80's so it makes this week's 50's and 60's seem cooooold:-)

With the warmer temperatures we had though everything is getting really green which is my favorite part of spring!   I love it when the grass greens up and when the leaves on the trees come out!  It just transforms everything from the dim of winter and just makes me happy:-)  Kind of like this card!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Season of friendship, apothecary art
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, blushing bride, subtles DSP stack
Ink:  Crumb cake, blushing bride, wild wasabi
Accessories:  3 inch circle die, scallop circle duo die, blushing bride pleated satin ribbon, basic rhinestones, large pearls, twitterpatted buttons, crochet thread

I just had to pull out this set for my spring tree!  I haven't used it in a while but thought I'd give it a go since it's retiring!  I'm going to TRY to do more projects with my retiring stamps for the next month or so.

Now head on over to the HSS site and see what other fabulous spring creations await and then play along with us!!!

Hi stampers and happy Tuesday!  This week over at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a pretty color challenge for you!  I think color challenges are my favorite of  all the things we do!  I really like when I have to pair colors together that I normally wouldn't or when I find one that I really like!!!!

Take this challenge for example, I would probably never have paired up these color if left to my own devices but they are so pretty together!!!!

I kind of wanted to do another baby card with these (I know...I have baby fever) but thought I should probably give that a rest until we have news, lol!  We'll see how long THAT lasts:-)  I wasn't sure what kind of card this would end up being until I was done but I decided that field flowers would go good with the colors.  I HAD to have this set when the new catalog came out but I've only used it hand full of times if that.
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Field flowers, petite pairs, parlor prints background
Paper:  Crumb cake, very vanilla, rich razzleberry, early espresso
Ink:  Crumb cake, early espresso, rich razzleberry, pretty in pink
Accessories:  Labels collection framelits, linen embossing folder, pretty in pink taffeta ribbon

I think I should have stamped off the pink flower first as it seemed a bit bright but the purple toned it down a bit.  Lots of sponging here too and I'm kind of on a roll with parlor prints.  That's another one I got and then didn't use much!

Now head on over to HSS and check out the rest of the teams creations!

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers!  How can it be Tuesday already!  It was just my long weekend with my mom wasn't it???  Of course it went way too fast, we didn't get enough done, and now she's gone back home and I miss her!  Maybe the new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments will make me feel better:-)

This week is an Easter theme.  I also can't believe it's almost Easter! Where DOES the time go?  Anyway, here is the inspiration photo for this week's theme!  Use it anyway you see fit to make and Easter project!
I was going to make something with my petal cone die as I really put my project this week off until the last minute (time with my momma trumped stamping, ha) and it would have been cute and easy.  But, when I came into my studio I started thinking about how I've seen the modern label punch used as a cross.  I don't have many (any) current Easter stamps so I thought this might be perfect.  I think it conveys the real reason for the holiday instead of the cute things like bunnies and chicks and peeps and Easter eggs.  I'll have to come back to the cutesy carrot petal cone this week...I've got a couple of bags of robins eggs just waiting to make their way into treat boxes:-)
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Woodgrain, teeny tiny wishes
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, baja breeze, blushing bride, so saffron, bella chateau
Ink:  Crumb cake, baja breeze, blushing bride, so saffron

I used my cross with the beau chateau DSP since it was nice and soft and floral.  I'm trying REALLY hard to use more of the TONS of DSP I have hoarded...I mean collected:-)  The flowers are sponged and crumpled and that's pretty much it.  I love the simplicity and softness of it.  It's very Easter-y to me.  Like I said, I tend to go with cutesy for Easter so this was a bit out of my comfort zone and turned out really well!

Now I'm off to make some petal cone carrots but you should click that link up there and go see what else the DT has for you and then play along!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday...time for a new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Now, I have to start out with a disclaimer....I goofed!  For some strange reason I totally had it in my head that this week's color challenge used poppy parade when in fact it used real red...oops!  The colors are really fun and bright though!
I don't know if maybe I had seen this color combo with poppy somewhere else or I got confused when I looked at my attic boutique DSP because all of the colors minus the real red are in there.  I absolutely LOVED the card that I came up with though so I'm going to share it anyway....and I didn't have the time to re-do it....and really I'm not sure that you can really tell it's not real red unless you look closely:-)  So, I hope you forgive me! I swear I turned 31 and my brain stopped functioning, lol!
Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Apothecary art, creative elements, loving thoughts
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, soft suede, daffodil delight, attic boutique DSP
Ink:  Black staz-on, crumb cake, soft suede, poppy parade, daffodil delight
Accessories:  basic pearls, large basic pearls, daffodil delight striped grosgrain ribbon, itty bitty punch pack, labels collection framelits

There's a lot of sponging going on here to make it nice and vintage!  I used the big flower from creative elements to make the label a little less sparse.  I stamped it off once to make it softer.  I chose the word memories because I thought it fit the vintage theme of the card.  And lastly, I pulled apart some of the ribbon to make it a bit more shabby!

I'll have to make sure I check the next challenge a little more carefully before I start stamping, ha!

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week it's another technique I hadn't tried before....color blocking!

This card is special for another reason too...it's the very FIRST card I made in my new studio!  I haven't had much time to stamp in it yet between working a lot and going to see my mom this past weekend. Hopefully I can get all caught up this week!  I have to say I wasn't thrilled with the technique or my card as I was working on it BUT it ended up turning out SO CUTE!  I love when that happens:-)

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Send me soaring
Paper:  Whisper white, pool party, lucky limeade
Ink:  Pool party, lucky limeade, calypso coral
Accessories:  Adorning accents edgelits dies & embossing folders, labels collection framelits, organdy ribbon (SAB), pool party ruffled ribbon

It turned out so cute!  I was kind of at a loss of what stamp set to use for the color blocking and then it hit me!  I think the kites look totally awesome this way!  And all I did for the blocks of color was use my smallest clear block!  I did make sure not to ink it up too good because I wanted the color much lighter than the kite image I was going to stamp over it.  I will be doing this again for sure!

Now, go check out what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along and do some color blocking!

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday and time for another challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and it's also Valentine's day!  So first off, happy Valentine's day!!!!  I'm excited to have a date night with my hubby tonight!  I've been saving a cute new dress for tonight!  Oh, wait...we're supposed to be talking about stamping aren't we?  Not clothes and shoes....my other obsession, lol!  Ok, so how fitting this week that our theme is LOVE:
And here's my card as I needed to squeeze in at least one more Valentine (I actually need many more, ha):
 Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  PS I love you
Paper:  Whisper white, pool party, blushing bride, calypso coral, sweet shop DSP
Ink:  Blushing bride, calypso coral
Accessories:  Polka dot and linen embossing folders, hearts collection framelits, blushing bride satin pleated ribbon, pool party ruffled ribbon, in color polka dot brads

I just love this card!  It is exactly what love is to me...simple and sweet!  Lots of embossing on this card as the DSP is embossed as well.  I wish I could buy a whole pack of that one sheet!  I won't tell you how long this card took to put together as it was the first one that I made between my old studio and my new one...lots of back and forth, haha!

Now go check out what love means to the rest of the design team, leave them some love, and link up your own loveable project!

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  Where did the weekend go?  Oh yeah, I was working:-)  So, not a lot of stamping time but I did manage to get my challenge card done:-)  This week over at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a color challenge for you.  It's kind of a fitting challenge for me since I sort of have the winter blues as of late:-)  Seems to  happen every year!  I need some sunshine and warm weather....and I nice LONG run OUTSIDE, hehe!  Anyway, check out these colors....blue alright but far from depressing!

I have to admit that I struggled with these colors for a bit and then it hit me!  Baby boy card!!! How perfect, right?  And I'm on a clean and simple kick so this is how it turned out:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Little additions
Paper:  Whisper white, marina mist, not quite navy, subtles DSP stack
Ink:  Marina mist, not quite navy
Accessories:  Fashionable hearts embosslit, labels collection framelits, marina mist scalloped polka dot ribbon, smooch illuminate accent ink, dotted scallop border punch

Ack, isn't it cute?  I just love the stamp set little additions!  You can see that I added a heart from NQN and I colored over it with the smooch accent ink so it's all shimmery!  I couldn't get the crumb cake to work quite right so I'm just using whisper white as my neutral.

Now click on over to the HSS site to see what everyone came up with and play along with us!  And get rid of those wintertime blues with some blues!!!!

Hi stampers!  I can't believe it's Tuesday already!  Where did the weekend go???  Oh yeah, I was sickly so it passed me by why I was napping.  Oh well.  At least my WONDERFUL hubby got my new room painted...even if he DID share his cold with me:)  Maybe one day I'll get all my stuff moved in there, ha!

So, it's that time of week to hop on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and check out the challenge!  This week is gift items!

Now, I know that I've done a similar project and as far as gifts go this is kind of puny BUT I just love the pillowbox die and I'm always in need of small and cute gifts for my co-workers and hubby!  HE LOVES chocolate and these are the perfect little boxes for tiny candy bars!  So, I whipped these little gems up for Valentine's Day!

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  PS I Love You
Paper:  Whisper white, crumb cake, pool party, lucky limeade
Ink:  Crumb cake, calypso coral
Accessories:  Pillow box die, full heart punch, fashionable hearts sizzlit, large pearls, everyday enchantment ribbon & brad pack (SAB)

I stamped a few cute little cupids in crumb cake and then added some organdy ribbon.  I then embellished it with the hearts!  Super quick and super easy!  I hope everyone enjoys them!

Now head on over to HSS and link up your own gift item!

Happy stamping!

Hi stampers and happy Tuesday!  I don't know about you all but I could use a vacation!  I'm really not a winter person and I'm sick of the dreary and cold weather already!  And it hasn't even been that snowy or cold here this year!  I'd love to be on the beach in Florida or Mexico right now!  So I guess I'll have to settle for this week's Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

Doesn't the photo just make you feel the sand between your toes????  I love the colors of the picture and it just makes me feel warm:-)  Here's my card that was inspired by the beach:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Shore thing (retired), fabulous phrases
Paper:  Whisper white, island indigo, pool party, daffodil delight, crumb cake
Ink:  Soft suede, island indigo, pool party, daffodil delight, crumb cake, calypso coral
Accessories:  Pool party ruffled ribbon, hodgepodge hardware (retired)

Sometimes a card just calls for a retired set or accessory and that was the case here!  Oh how I'd like to be in that beach chair, kicked back with a fruity drink in my hand and my shades on:-)  It's kind of funny...or sad...I bought this set after it was retired to scrap a beach vacation we took and guess how many times I've used it....yup, this was the first one, lol!  I'm sure some of you can relate, right????

Now head on over the HSS and see what the design team came up with and then go to the beach with us:-)

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a fun new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week we want you to shake it up!

How fun!  Who doesn't love a shaker card????  Wanna see what I came up with?

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  PS I Love You, I {heart} hearts
Paper:  Poppy parade, calypso coral, pool party, very vanilla, blushing bride, everyday enchantment DSP (SAB)
Ink:  Poppy parade
Accessories:  Edgelits & adorning accents embossing folders, circle punch, hearts collection framelits, window sheets, shaker frames, dazzling diamonds, fashionable hearts embosslit, blushing bride smooch spritz, basic pearls

So, it didn't turn out quite like I planned but I still like it:-)  You can't see it well in the picture but I stamped the little heart from I {heart} hearts inside the shaker.  I also sprayed the card base with the blushing bride smooch and it's quite pretty in real life.  And how cute is the little scalloped edge with the embossing.  It was my first time trying out the folders along with the edgelits and it turned out very cute!

Now, head on over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and shake it up!

Happy shaking....I mean stamping:-)

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week is all about RUFFLES!

Now, being totally girly and liking all things frilly this challenge was right up my alley!  Well, I have to say that my project didn't turn out all that girly or frilly at all...but I like it!  It's kind of really simple but again, I kind of really like it:-)  I had the idea the other day to use the new pear pizzazz pleated satin ribbon as a "flower stem".   So when I sat down to make it and got it finished up I thought, wow, this would be a great card for the HSS challenge!  So, please excuse me for not being my usual frilly and girly self because I think you're going to like it:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Pursuit of happiness
Paper:  Whisper white, pear pizzazz, calypso coral, wisteria wonder
Ink:  Calypso coral, pear pizzazz
Accessories:  Triple flower punch, blossom petals builder punch, floral fusion sizzlit, designer printed in color brads, brad & ribbon pack (SAB), pear pizzazz pleated satin ribbon

I could use some sunshine about now....it at least makes me THINK it's warmer out than it is:-)  Maybe I just like this card because it makes me think of spring!

Now, run on over to HSS via the link at the top of my post and check out all the other great projects the design team came up with and play along with us!

Fancy Folds!

Hi stampers and happy Tuesday again!  I can't believe another week has come and gone and CHRISTMAS is THIS WEEKEND!  Of course I'm still kind of in the Christmas stamping mode so I have yet another Christmas card, hehe....sometimes I make them even AFTER Christmas!  Anyway, we have a FUN challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Click the link to check out the FUN FOLDS!

I'm pretty much a traditionalist when it comes to card making but that's why a challenge like this is great!  It pushes you to do something different!  I'm really liking unique folds now!  So go ahead and check out what the rest of the design team did (they always make A-MAZ-ING stuff) and find a fold you like and play along!

Like I said, I'm still in full on Christmas mode (maybe because I'm STILL not done with my shopping...eek...let alone having anything wrapped and under the tree) so here is my easel card:

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Grateful greetings, many merry messages
Paper:  Very vanilla, lucky limeade, island indigo, calypso coral, pool party, blushing bride, silver glimmer
Ink:  Same as papers, tea stain distress ink
Accessories:  Stocking accents die, circles number 2 die, border punch, elastic cord (retired), fine glitters (retired)

I had some more ornaments laying around from my Shiny Brite inspired card I posted last week so I wanted to use them up...especially since I FOUND some Shiny Brite reproductions while Christmas shopping Saturday AND they were on sale!  I picked up a box for myself (hehe...another thing to collect) and one for my dad and step mom as they have a whole Christopher Radko tree and I think they'll like them!

Easel cards are by far my favorite fold I think!  They are super easy (you can find a tutorial on SCS) and they are cute!  Please excuse my crooked Christmas greetings...I don't know what happened!!!  I embellished my ornaments to look similar to Shiny Brites in fun retro colors using glimmer paper, fine glitters and sticky sheets.  I also added a bit of retired elastic cord.

Now head on over to HSS and play along!

Happy stamping!

An Old Fashioned Christmas

Hi stampers!  It's time for another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week the challenge is "An old fashioned Christmas".

I love vintage, especially for Christmas so this was right up my alley.  I did have trouble deciding what to use though!  We have so many great old fashioned sets both current and retired!  I just may have to do a few more projects with this theme!!!!  I finally settled on Bells & Boughs and the Christmas Collage background stamp.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Bells & Boughs, Christmas collage, grateful greetings
Paper:  Crumb cake, cherry cobbler, watercolor
Ink:  Stazon, versamark, various for watercoloring, crumb cake, river rock, cherry cobbler, tea stain
Accessories:  Gold embossing powder, waffle paper, crochet trim ribbon, circle and designer label punch, cherry cobbler dazzling details (occasions mini sneak peek)

I think the waffle paper looks very old fashioned so I pulled it out to make some ruffles around my main image.  That stuff is really easy to use and mold into about any shape you need.  The card is also sponged with crumb cake ink and then I sponged some river rock over that.  I also rubbed the tea stain ink from the distressing kit over the crochet trim to dirty it up a bit.  Did you know we now carry ink refills for those now?  Yup, we do!  My final detail is another little sneak peek into the occasions mini catalog.  I put some CHERRY COBBLER dazzling details there on the holly berries!

Now, head on over to HSS and check out the challenge and all the other samples from our fabulous design team then play along!  And have a happy old fashioned Christmas!

Happy stamping!

Retro

Hi stampers!  Happy Tuesday!  It's time for another challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments!  This week is a fun color challenge!  I'm totally obsessed with this color combo right now:

I think it's totally fun and trendy and it's fun and bright too!  It's kind of got a retro 60's and 70's feel to it too.  I've seen a lot of holiday decor at Target and other places in these hues as well.  So, I've been making Christmas cards with these colors of course.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps:  Pennant parade, Bright Christmas, distressed dots
Paper:  Whisper white, real red, blushing bride (smooth & textured), pear pizzazz, pool party
Ink:  Real red, pear pizzazz
Accessories:  Candy Cane Buttons (retired), circle and scalloped circle dies, basic pearls & rhinestones, crochet thread, pennant builder punch

I have a bunch of the candy cane buttons left over from last year so I had to stick one on here!  I love that little pennant punch too, it makes such fun Christmas trees!

Now, click that link up there and head on over to see what the rest of the design team came up with and then play along with us and link up your card!

Happy stamping!

Ornamental

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday which means it's time for another challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I can't believe it's going to be December this week!  I got the tree up on Saturday before I had to go to work.  We had a "wee" bit of trouble with the lights this year and after TWO trips to the store I gave up so I'll have to fix the tree later this week.  We didn't get the lights up outside and I wish we had as Saturday was nice and warm!  And I still have some more decorations to put up inside as well.  What about you?  Have you decked the halls yet?  Well, if you have or haven't we have a fun challenge for you this week!

You can make an ornament or use ornaments to make your project.  It's up to you:-)  Wanna see what I made?

Stampin' Supplies:
Stampin' Up Designer series fabric, coordinating ribbons, elastic cord (retired), Styrofoam balls, ornament hanger thingies (technical term right there)

Aren't they cute???  I don't sew but I was "SEW" excited (sorry, hehe) when SU started carrying fabric last year because there are "my thing".  I make them every year for Christmas.  It all started back when I was in grade school and my dad wanted to make Christmas ornaments for the kids choir at church that he was (and still is) in charge of.  He found these and he taught me how to make them too.

They are super easy (I'll try to shoot a video soon, I just didn't have time with the holiday and having to work over the holiday weekend too).  Basically all you do is take squares of fabric and a Styrofoam ball and stuff the edges down in the ball with a dull edge.  We use a butter knife (haha).  It works well and is kid friendly!

So, start decking the halls and show us what you come up with!

Happy stamping...I mean ornamenting:-)
