Fab Friday 168

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  It's time for Fab Friday again and we have a BRIGHT challenge for you today!

I dug out a returning set that I hadn't used in a while and think it's perfect for these colors!  And I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of gingham BUT I think it looks super sweet right here!  I also rarely use Pacific Point but again, today I'm a big fan!

I tried cutting the sentiment apart only to realize part of it had to be at an angle but I think it works anyway! I used my Stampin' Write Markers for the multi colored image and then used a Blender Pen on all of them to fill them in with a little color.  If you don't have all of the ink pads, the markers and Blender Pens are a great way to add color!

Make sure to check out what the rest of the team did and join us with these summery colors!

Happy stamping!

Similar Sets

Hi stampers!  I'm late at posting again.  I should have had time to prep this post yesterday with being stuck at home all day with a receiving Ian, but I didn't.  And by the time I wrangled him into bed (in my room...he may never sleep in his own room again, sigh), I was too lazy to do anything at all.  Jon's been in Dallas so I was flying solo.  He is feeling better though for sure, he was a NUT last night at bath and bed time lol!

Anyway, hopefully life will get back to normal today!  I have had this background on my desk for WEEKS and just couldn't do anything with it.  I based it off of a card in the Occasions Catalog.  But, instead of using the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set for the flowers (I did use it for that large sentiment), I used Happy Birthday Gorgeous!  I had Perennial Birthday for display stamper and as soon as I got it, I thought it looked really similar to HBG.  I think they work really well together and I was happy to see both back in the new Annual Catalog!

I've used this color combo to death, I know.  But it works!

Celebrating You

Hi stampers!  Happy Monday!  Here we go again with another Monday, ha!  Can't those just go away???

Here's a card I made last week.  The main image was made with Brusho!  I mixed red and blue to make a pretty purple color.  And I actually didn't even put it on the paper!  I shook it out on a clear block that I had put water on and then smooshed my paper onto that!  There are endless options with that stuff!  I also used Perennial Birthday. Don't get stuck in only using a stamp set with it's coordinating kit or with it's coordinating colors!  Get creative!

I probably should have used razzleberry here but I used berry burst.  A little contrast ;-)  My flowers are stamped in their respective color and I used a blender pen to fill them in and blend the colors.

Hope you're having a good Monday (and I am too, lol).

Stampin Up 2018 Occasions & SAB Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day 7

Hi stampers!  It's been quite a week!  We've been to both my parents houses and my in laws, celebrated Thanksgiving and Jon's birthday and drove back to Oklahoma!  It hasn't left much time for stamping which is why I was happy to do this hop!  I hope you've enjoyed all the projects this week!  I need to catch up!  With all our travels, I haven't had a chance to check out the last few hops! Make sure to go back if you missed any, too!

I have my last two projects today and then it's back to full on Christmas mode!  We put up the tree today so I'm more than ready!

I love the combo of tranquil tide, berry burst, fresh fig, and lemon lime twist with this stamp set!

I kept this one super simple, almost too simple, but I still love it!  It would make a great beginner card since you don't need many supplies!  And it's always great to show how to doodle around an edge.  It's super simple and easy touch!

Sorry about the two black dots (if you can see them)!  I took my pictures after the event and forgot to take the velcro dots off of the back and they showed through a little.

That's it for me so now it's time to check out what Charlet did.

Thanks so much for hopping with us.  And to my fellow display stampers, I have so loved seeing what you made, you're all SO talented <3 p="">

Stampin Up 2018 Occasions & SAB Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day 5

Hi stampers!  Welcome to day FIVE of our display stamper blog hop.  Welcome back if you've been following along and if you're new, make sure and do the previous four hops for all kinds of fun projects and sneak peeks!  Also, because of Fab Friday, this is my second post for today so if you're looking for that, just go back to the main page on my blog (after you check out the hop of course).

I'm sharing another stamp set with you today, perennial birthday and it's super cute! I think it lends itself to fun and bright colors, so that's what I did!

For this card, I stamped on watercolor paper and then spritzed it and I kind of love how it turned out! My sentiment is on a banner that I scored and popped up so it's not a real mailable card but I just love it!

How about a cute gift bag with coordinating tissue paper?  That's exactly what I did here and it's a super quick project which I love!  You could whip this up for someone in no time!

The little mini binder clips are so cute!  And the paper ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!

This is another one (I know, I have a lot) of my favorites!  I embossed my flowers in white embossing powder and then I used sponge daubers to color it in.  Add some pick a pattern DSP and the colors really pop!

That's it for me today!  I really do hope you're enjoying my projects!  Now you're hopping over to Charlet!  She's got such good stuff for you!
