Thankful Pumpkin

Hi stampers!  Look at me, posting on a Monday :-)  This card is for you, all of my friends and readers who are here when I decide to blog and when I need you :-)

I finally ordered the Come To Gather DSP and I'm so glad I did.  I love the colors and I love the way the rustic wood pattern pairs with the gingham!  I also love the addition of Cajun Craze here, too!  My sentiment is from the To Every Season Stamp set and I think it pairs nicely as well!

Make sure to check out the supplies in my FB group if you have any questions!

Thankful For SU

Hi stampers!  Happy hump day!  I'm slowly getting back to normal here, only to have the upcoming holiday throw a wrench in my routine yet again :-)  I cannot believe it's almost Thanksgiving!  It was JUST Halloween!

I'm always thankful when I can pair two products together unexpectedly, just like with this card!  The "give thanks" sentiment in Labels to Love fits just perfectly in the punch from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.

This card may look complicated, but it was pretty easy.  A quick water color wash and then some splatters.  You can see I didn't let it fully dry before...I'm impatient like that ;-)  Then, I just layered everything up!

Some linen trim, a few sequins, some sparkle, and a button sealed the deal!  I just love these colors together!

I'm also thankful for ALLLLL of the friends Stampin' Up has blessed me with!  I'm so happy I got to hug so many of them last week.

Pretty Things

Hi stampers!  I have very few words today.  I can't wrap my head around the tragedy that occurred Monday.  I tried to blog a little but I just couldn't focus on much of anything Monday.  I still don't have a lot to say but at least we can put pretty things into this world like this card.

Pretend the bow is always artichoke, ok?  I totally used a random scrap of mossy meadow I had laying around and didn't notice it until after.  I heat embossed the lantern before I colored it.

Make something pretty today and bring a little beauty in the world!

Happy stamping!

Grateful Freaks!

Hi stampers!  How can it be time for a Control Freaks blog hop already?

Wasn't it just September????  Anyway, this month's theme is gratitude and I'm so grateful for all my stamping friends and my little hobby!  Speaking of great stamping friends, you may have just come from Cindy's blog where you saw her awesome projects!  Don't worry if you didn't, we make an endless loop so just keep clicking and you'll get all the way around!

My first project uses acorny thank you, which tends to get overlooked since it's in the main catalog.  I combined it with the sweater DSP because it's awesome and I love cozy sweaters in the fall!  The top of the acorn is also embossed in copper.  I pressed the whole thing into my versa mark pad and then heat set it.

I also made a Thanksgiving card.  I love Thanksgiving!  Who doesn't love family and food????  I recently bought some felt balls to make a garland for November and thought the colors were perfect for a card!  I used cherry cobbler, cajun craze, pumpkin pie, tangerine tango, and delightful dijon.

You may need to click and enlarge this one.  I used an embossed a strip of vanilla CS with the woodland folder so it's tone on tone and hard to see here but it looks cool!  I also totally forgot about Teeny Tiny Wishes still being current, ha!  So after using it for some Halloween cards I kept it out for the sentiment here!

And now it's time to keep hopping.  You're off to Amy's blog to see her fabulous projects!

Wood on wood

Hi stampers!  I'm cranking out the fall cards this week even though it doesn't feel much like fall after it snowed yesterday (UGH) and it was like 34 degrees out!  Hopefully it gets warmer like they say it will as I have a 5k on Saturday and while I like to run when it's cool I'm not a fan of COLD at least when I'm not used to it yet!  And my mom is walking and I'll never hear the end of it if she's cold :-)

Anyway, my card for today is what I'm calling wood on wood as it mixes the birchwood paper from the thanksgiving tablescape kit with the woodgrain embossing folder.  I should send this to my in-laws as they are adding hardwood to their family room this week and have been struggling on which way to lay it as it's a different shade from the rest of the hardwoods in the other rooms :-)  All the ladies say since it's different it should run perpendicular while the menfolk say it should be parallel:-)  I'll have to go visit soon and see what way won!
Stampin Supplies:
Stamps:  Gently falling, truly grateful
Paper:  Very vanilla, crumb cake, early espresso core'dinations
Ink:  Early espresso, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, crushed curry, raspberry ripple
Accessories:  Thankful tablescape kit, linen thread, sanding block, woodgrain embossing folder

I pulled the layout and general idea from a card I had seen on a challenge blog.  And the picture is a bit wonky.  My editing software is on the fritz and some of the settings got changed and I can't figure out how to make them go back....

And finally, have you checked out the Stampin' Up blog and store lately?  There is a lot of new fun stuff like an ornament kit and some fun MDS classes.

Isn't this ornament cute!  It's just like the one featured in the Holiday Catalog.  And everything is already cut and scored for you!  All you need is some hot glue!  There's also a video on the SU Youtube channel showing you how to assemble it!

And here's some of the CUTE images from the MDS classes and downloads!

Make sure to chose me as your demo if you order though!  The link there won't take you to my personal store.

Happy stamping!
